While I'm waiting at the bus stop everyone stares at me. It's a new school with new people and they don't know about my eyes. They stare at my eyepatch.
"Is she a pirate?" A younger kid asked
I sat in the back of the bus by myself. A stranger sat next to me and I didn't bother looking up.
"Hi!I'm Amelia"
"Hey...I'm Daniel" I answered
I looked up and ecamined her face. She had orange hair with freckles and light blue eyes.
"What grade are you in?"
"9th"
"Same!" She was smiling. I guess I made a friend. When we got to school EVERYONE stared at me. My homeroom teacher wanted me to talk to the class.
"Um...Hey everyone. I'm Daniel. I'm from New York and came here (West Virginia).
Um... I hope we can be friends...?"
The teacher nodded and I sat. The class started to talk about me.
"Amelia? Is this normal?"
"Yeah...sorta. It's because of your patch"
"Oh"
As classes all started I had everyone talking about me all day.

I sat with Amelia at lunch.
"Daniel call me Amy. It's shorter. I will call you Dani."
"Ok"
I don't really like nicknames but hey, it is what it is. I removed my eye patch showing my orange eye (the other is green)
"Wow..."said Amy
"I see the world after a war through this one. Thanks for accepting mw as a friend."
"No prob"
As I put the patch back on a group of girls with perfect blonde hair,straight white teeth,and blue eyes came over.
"What's up with the dumb eyepatch, pirate"
"It's nothing." I replied
"It's nothing" they all mocked in a screech voice
"Listen here. We are the popular girls on this school. Just because your new doesn't mean this world will revolve around you."
I shuddered when she said "world" It reminds me of the other world I see.
They sashay away from us and I sit down.
"What's their problem?" I asked
"They are just jerks. Here. Let's go get a lunch."

I got home and ran straight to my room. I finished my homework and went straight to bed. This was the worst day ever. I slowly fell asleep.

The girl punched me in the face
"Now stay there!" She yelled
I was groaning in pain. I was laying helplessly on the ground with nobody to help me.

I jolted awake and went to the bathroom to check my face. My war eye was black and blue. I hate Sasha. The way she looks and her attitude. I went back to my room and fell asleep.
