After a week long wait the day to finally put Kareem behind the bar once and for all was here. Neil was the main mastermind behind the plan so he was a bit anxious about the results bu he was comforting himself not letting others see his anxiousness.

With the hardwork of the cyber team they had found Kareem's location. But Neil had already predicted that it was a fake one to trap the police and he was proven right when the location didn't change for more than two continuous days. They had found another lead in the meantime and was tracking him on two ways so that they can capture him fast. But Kareem was very cunning and had not fallen for any of their traps. He was in hiding now and no matter how hard Neil's team tried to track him and capture him he always managed to slip past them every time. It was very frustrating for Neil as he had never encountered such a criminal before. Hr started blaming himself for his lack of prowess in capturing Kareem but Ashish told him that it was okay and that Kareem was a very shrewd man who had been escaping police capture for a very long.

But Neil was still adamant, he knew that he was the one that suggested the final plan to capture Kareem, but it had Avni in it and if something went wrong she would be harmed. He was scared of getting Avni hurt and was looking for ways to capture Kareem without involving Avni, but that too was failing.

Tomorrow they were going to execute their plan and Neil had finally given up catching Kareem on his own. So he went to meet Avni to inform her of what will be happening and what she should do. Ashish too joined them and they didn't get any privacy, so Neil was frustrated. But to his surprise his parents too came a bit later, so Ashish went to talk to them.

So he briefed Avni and asked her to be careful and warned her to be safe and not be impulsive. After he started repeating the same thing for the 6th time, Avni had had enough.

Neil I know that you are very anxious now, but you shouldn't be this much worried. Everything will be fine and even DD is accompanying me so what are you scared of?

Avni agar kuch gadbad....

Neela's voice managed to shift their attention from each other to the other's present there.

Avni you are briefed well now right. Kal koi galti nagi honi chahiye and if you feel that the plan is going to backfire you know what to do right?

Avni nodded her head to Ashish's question and went to join the elders and Neil too swiftly followed her there.

The next day morning the Pareikh Mansion was in a frenzy as it was Avni's first day at office and also because they were finally going to put an end to the "KAREEM PROBLEM".

On Neil's instruction, DD was to drive her to the office as her driver and if they see any sign of Kareem to inform Neil immediately. They were taking a different route there and Neil made sure that in the end they would Khanna Industried only, so that Kareem doesn't get too suspicious.

Neil and Ashish was supposed to go to the police station and they too were ready to put it in action.

After receiving countless "Stay Safe Bachha" from her mother she finally left her home and got into the car. Ashish had left earlier to avoid suspicion.

DD started driving and after almost 10 min Avni noticed a car that was constantly following them. She informed it to DD who immediately informed Neil through the bluetooth headset.

After that they continued driving and acted as if they didn't notice anything. They reached an almost empty lane and DD started driving faster. They were driving for almost 5 minutes when they got surrounded by vehicles on all side.

DD immediately spoke into his headset and immediately put it away. His heart was beating heavily and he was starting to sweat, but he knew that this was just the beginning of the End of Kareem.

Avni had her eyes closed and was as anxious as DD was but she was sure tha her father and Neil would never fail. So she too waited patiently and started calming her racing heart by taking long deep breaths.

Some goons got out of the car in front and many came from the back. They all surrounded the car and gestured DD to get out. DD stepped out and moved away from the car, while a goon started tapping at Avni's window impatiently. The goon was looking so scary that she didn't have to act scared at all. She too slowly got out of the car and moved towards DD.

The goons now formed a circle with Avni and DD on the centre. They all took out iron rods, and looked ready to pounce on a command.

Kareem entered the circle behind Avni and DD and slowly moved to stand in front of them. He looked at them and smirked cruelly.

Ashish Mehta ka pyaari beti aur Neil Khanna ka chamcha. Kya baat hai, aaj to maza hi aayega. Kya bolte ho huh?

He taunted them and started laughing. Avni and DD tried their best to keep silent so as not to accidentally provoke him.

Chup kyu hai? Suna hai ki tum dono bahut hi baatein karte ho. Ab kya hua? Darr lag raha hai kya?

He was taunting them to get a response from them, but the two still did not make a sound.

Are, are, yeh teekh nahi hai, main to akele hi baat karte jaa rahi hai, aur tum dono to chup hai. Aisa nahi chalega, kuch toh bolo na...

DD looked around at this and turned to face Avni,

Kya doond rahe ho? Tumhara woh ACP ya DCP nahi aanewala. Jaanna chahte ho ki woh kaha pe hai?

Hey Bhola, ACP saab kaha hai, zara batana.

The goon named Bhola looked into his phone and answered

Police station mein saab

Ah! Aur hamare DCP saab kaha hai?

Koi nahi aanewale tumhe bachane, tum mar gayi toh kisi ko farak nagi padega, he said pointing to DD, then he pointed to Avni, lekin agar tum chali gayi toh, Ashish Mehta tootega, Neela Pareikh tootega, wah yeh sab sunte hi dil ko sukoon mil raha hai. Aur yeh yaad hai kya, he asked pulling out a gun. Isi se tumhe goli maari thi. Yaad hai? Bahut dard ho raha tha na. Mujhe pata hai. Bahut kaam aata hai logon ko tadpake tadpake maar dalne mein. Iske andar jo zeher haina bahut hi rare hai. Pichle baar toh trailer dikha raha tha. Lekin agar yeh goli chua na toh koi bacha nahi paayega tumhe. He closed his eyes and then started talking again. He was so confident that he would kill Avni that he did not know what was happening in front of him.

He continued on talking more and more while Avni and DD glanced at each other and nodded. As soon as they did that, smoke covered the whole area, but since Kareem had his eyes closed he did not notice. Soon all the goons started falling down as the smoke made them all unconscious, but Kareem was still talking and suddenly he opened his eyes and immediately covered his nose. But it was too late as DD had already snatched his gun.

They heard the sound of doors opening and the smoke got cleared as Neil entered the scene. Kareem widened his eyes.

And a bit after that they heard the screeching of tyres and soon Ashish was there too.

Tere hi jaal mein tujhe fasa diya. Kaise laga Kareem Takur.

DD arrest him immediately.

Kareem was not done yet. He pulled a knife from his waist and in a flash moved to Avni and held it near her throat.

Neil, Ashish DD and the other officers accompanying them were shocked.

But Avni was not someone to be messed with. She kicked her leg back hardly and Kareem was taken aback by this that he fell down. DD Neil and the other officers immediately went to him and stopped him from further doing anything.

Ashish went to Avni and checked her for any injury and when he was satisfied hugged her tightly.

Their family was safe again.

Neil and the other officers were still trying hard to stop Kareem as he was protesting strongly. He finally managed to snatch his gun back from DD and held it to his head.

If I'm dying, then it will be on my terms. He said before shooting himself on his head and then he fell, dead.

Kareem was finally eliminated and like he said it was on his own terms. Neil, Ashish and DD first dropped Avni home and then went to the station to clear all the formalities and end Kareem's case for the final time. The goons were all imprisoned and waa given life sentence in jail, due to their involvement in the many heinous crimes.

That night, the two families finally relaxed at last, as all their problems were solved.

Two weeks later:

Ashish had wanted to resign but due to his family he still continued his job as a police officer. Avni had started going to the office and was showing good progress. Life was all good for both the families when Neil decided to finally ask Ashish for Avni's hand in marriage.

The two were coming back home after their day and DD was in the front driving the car. Neil popped his question out of nowhere.

Sir, I wish to marry Avni.

Ashish looked at him sternly and DD suddenly brought the car to a halt. DD turned to look at Ashish and then Neil. He then once again turned to look at Ashish and this time Ashish too looked at DD. They both then together started laughing.

Neil looked on in confusion.

I knew that you were going to ask me soon, but never expected it now.

You knew all along? Kaise?

Magic! Ashish teased him.

Jokes apart Neil. I'm ready to give my daughter's hand in yours. But you need to wait a year.

What!?

Haa. Abhi abhi mujhe mili hai and I want her close to me for a bit. Phir zindgi bhar tum use apne paas rakho. Ashiah said emotionally.

Congaratulation Sir. You are getting engaged soon. DD said from the front.

But Neil was not satisfied with Ashish's answer. He wanted Avni with him as soon as possible and spend his entire time with her. But he stayed quiet and nodded to Ashish who looked happy that Neil was satisfied.

After reaching home Neil informed hia family of what happened and they too were very happy, but when he talked about his problem Bebe said that she had an idea. That night she invited Ashish and his family for dinner.
