I'm so sorry. I was caught up in a function and had to complete my records.

They reached  Aysha Avni Ka Ghar. Neil stopped the car and turned to look at Avni. He was sure that she may be shocked. But he was more shocked when he saw a tear drop escape her eyes.

"Hey why're you crying. You all right."

Avni soon turned into her Ananya mode.
"Mr. Neil Khanna could you please tell me ki hum yaha kya kar rahe ho. Haan??"

"Wo commissionare sir ko humse baat karne thi. Kuch confidential hai. Kaliye usne hume yahan nilaya. Ab andar chalo."
(In his mind)"jab bhi tumhare past saamne aathi ho tho tum strong girl ki tarah behave karthi ho. You are really great Avni. Itna dard sahnewali koi or hoti to kabka tut chuki hoti."

They entered inside the house. Avni was shocked and she stood rooted to the spot by seeing the sight in front of her.

Ashish was crying while caressing the photo of Aysha and Avni.

She was very much surprised by this sight.

Hearing Neil's footsteps right behind her she composed herself and wiped away her tears about which she didn't know until then.

Neil came behind her and cleared his throat. Ashish was brought back from his thoughts. Neil saluted him

"Jai hind sir"

"Please have a seat Neil. And Miss Ananya please be seated. Make yourselves comfortable."

"So, Miss Ananya I heard that you are here to write an article on Dayawanti Mehta for a magazine".

Avni was fighting an emotional battle in her mind but still she answered
"Yes."

"Well I'm Ashish Mehta, her eldest son. Have you started writing the article."

"No not yet. And since it's Riya's marriage she is a  busy most of the time."

"Hmm, I see. Well after you see this video may be you could complete your article faster than expected. Neil just play the video."

"Yes, sir."
Neil played the video in which Dayawanti and Ketan were trying to stop Ashish from going to the station.

When the video ended, as Ashish was declared dead by Ketan and Dayawanti, Neil was stealing glances at Avni.

While Avni was completely shocked seeing the video that she forgot the presence of Ashish and Neil in the room.
"Papa" she screamed loudly.

Ashish was not able to control himself anymore. He just hugged her tight.
"Champ"

Neil was having tears in his seeing the reunion of the father daughter duo.

When Ashish retreated from the hug, he saw that Avni has fainted.

"Avni. Avni bacha aankhein kholo."Neil was brought back from his thoughts hearing Ashish.

"Avni ease open your eyes. Avni!!!

He immediately phoned DD and him to bring a doc to their place.

Ashish was completely broken seeing a fainted Avni. Neil carried her in his arms and laid her down on a bed.

"Sir, please control yourself sir. Avni will be alright. She is a strong girl." Neil tried pacifying Ashish.

After 5 min the doc arrived. It was the same doc( in one of my previous chapter I mentioned a hospital scene)

Doc checked her and said
"Yeh apna dawaiyan Lena bhool gayi hair. Kaliye behosh hogaya. Miss Neela katha jai. Undengil kshamikkuka tha ki iska dhyan rakhne ke liye."

"Uhmm mm you mean Neela Pareikh dr."

"Yes"

Hearing Neela's name Ashish felt guilty. He asked Neil to go and bring Neela over here.

Neil reached Pareikh mansion and entered inside. Not seeing Neela anywhere he went to the kitchen and saw her cooking poha.

"Ermm excuse me. Avni's mom."

Neela was shocked hearing Avni's name from Neil's mouth.

"Kya bola... Kya bola tum me.

"Avni has fainted suddenly. Sap jaldi chalo mere saath."

Neela got worried after hearing this and she just went with Neil forgetting what he said for the time being. But when she saw the route he was taking she was shocked.

"Ananya katha hai. Meri bachi ko kahaan chupa ke rakha he tu. Bolo jaldi bolo"

They reached Aysha Avni Ka Ghar. Neela entered inside and ran towards a room that was opened. But she stopped in her tracks when she saw Ashish caressing Avni's hair.
