'Us'
The morning when Sona confessed her love to her 'Romeo' Aby, they sealed it with a soul-searing kiss. No words were exchanged and the silence between the two was nothing less than nirvana.

They walked hand in hand to the palace but Swarnima retrieved her hand and both felt a void instantly. Abhedya questioned her 'what?' through his eyes.

"You are the king and it's not correct to roam around hand in hand with your protector. Not until..." Swarnima tried to explain to Abhedya the rules but he cut her in the middle saying...

"How? Like how do you find perfect ways to spoil things!?" Abhedya was angry. It was after ages they were together, like sweethearts.
Abhedya calmed himself and brought her close, "Sona, I am not missing out a single moment now. We have been punished with enough separation, now, no more. Besides, if you are a moment spoiler, trust me I am the moment creator." He lifted her face from her chin and bent his own. The drug he just injected himself with in the middle of a road, his body demanded a dose more of it.
Swarnima came out of his grip and ran towards the main entrance. Abhedya chased her just like their horse and buggy days.

Aby and Sona did not fall in love. They grew in love.

'Caging the demon'

Ten days post hunting down the demon, Dushyant marched into the gates of the palace.
He challenged the king and protector of Swarnbhoomi to come out and they did. Along with Rudra, Randeep and Maan.

"You swine!! You played me. You faked Rima's death. She is alive and attacked me with the help of a girl... maybe this 'protector' Swarnima. Just hand her over to me else I will take you to court." Dushyant was fuming in anger.

"Attacked you? Really?? When?? Rima as we know passed away years before. Her house caught fire." Rudra was calm but inside he was fuming.

Dushyant was not in good health still he held Rudra's collar and shouted, "you know that's not the truth. Just hand over this bitch and her mother. I will not interfere in your matters that's my 'word'."

Rudra slapped Dushyant hard making him fall on the ground. "One, mind your language. Two, Swarnima is the lifeline of this state and her life is of utmost importance. Three, what proof do you have that they attacked you."

"I don't require proof. I guess your choice is clear and mine too. I will kill this girl and her mother. In the process, if anything happens to anyone one of you..." Dushyant stopped speaking when he saw Gene coming.

"Waiting to meet my darling? Aww... I have a fan!" Gene winked and Dushyant was baffled to see Rima LIVE.

"H... h.. how is it possible? You killed yourself in front of my eyes, to save yourself from me. How can you be alive? I killed Swadesh and your house was burnt. There was no possibility of you being alive? How on earth?" Dushyant rubbed his temples and his anger grew.

"Officers... please arrest Dushyant Singh of Rajatbhoomi. He just admitted his crime. Years before he killed Swadesh Aryavanshi and forced his wife to commit suicide. Put him behind the bars." Randeep called the cops and they took him away. Dushyant tried his best revolt but it went in vain. He confessed his crime and it was recorded as proof.

"Abhey! Brilliant job. You have learnt the skills of politics and governance fast." Randeep congratulated Abhedya. It was news for Swarnima. She had no clue it was a set up by Abhedya.

After Rudra and Randeep left Sona ran and hugged Aby. He hugged her tightly and lifted her off her feet. It was a moment of Euphoria for them.

"This was the best gift you have given me Aby. I always wanted to see him behind the bars. In a cage and never be free. Thank you. Thank you so much." Sona fisted his Ironed shirt in her palm.

"Thank you?!! Wow!! Sona. it's good to use golden words but I am a part of you. Do you thank yourself?" Aby questioned.

"Part of me?!! You are all of me. My reason to live and my paragon of virtue." Sona pulled Aby to her level and kissed him.
He was shocked at first but after recovering from the shock he pulled her close and kissed her hard. The kiss was extremely passionate and deep. Even the rabbit 'Joy' which Abhedya got for her from the resort and Kazu the dog's woof could not break their kiss.
They were fighting for dominance and Aby was loving this fight coz it was the first time Sona was trying to dominate. He let her take the lead and the song their tongues were singing blending with each other was the music of a different genre.

"Sona!! Stop!! You are driving me insane. Dad told me there is a 'kama room' here in the palace. Let's go." Aby proposed to her in a mushy voice. Sona widened her eyes upon realisation, pushed him aside and ran inside.

If she was in the plateau stage during the kiss, the mention of 'kama room' did send her to the orgasm stage. She preferred to run away from her aphrodisiac.

"Chicken!! I love you!!!" Aby shouted at the top of his voice.
Sona just blew a flying kiss from the far end she was and Aby ran at jet speed to convert the air kiss to a real one.

'Our firsts!'

On a starlit full moon winter sky, the chilled breeze was adding additional force on two souls to glue themselves together under the blanket. Aby kept pulling Sona near him.
"I am practically glued to you stop pulling me." Sona rolled over facing Aby.

Aby pulled her on top of him and wrapped his arms around her to cage her. "Now, it is perfect." He gave her a small peck on her lips and received a shy smile. "God!! How much I missed this shy smile of yours. Since the day we have started getting all touchy and lovey and mushy you have thrown your shyness in a trash bin."

"Really?!!! Fine then. No kiss for the.Ummm.. next fifteen days." Sona came out of his grip and sat up with puffed cheeks. Aby laughed and pulled her cheeks. "Aaoooo" Sona hit his arm and turned her face away.
Aby chuckled and pulled her down. He hovered over her and said, "you know I always wondered that we have never had any normal moments.
Our first meeting—you saw me in my most indecent state... kissing away girls.
Our first touch— in the cycle stand was purely accidental.
Our first song together—- was in Gharonda.
Our first hug—- was a hug of circumstance. You were so scared..."

Sona bit her lip and pushed Aby to the side and got up. "Aby, our first hug was not on the flight to Dehradun. It was ... you remember Raina drugged you at a party and a girl name 'kavach' saved you?" Aby nodded in yes. Sona, shut her eyes tight and confessed "IT WAS ME. I LIED TO you."

"Why?" Aby simply asked. His face was expressionless.

"Kavach is my 'code name'. It means armour/shield. I am supposed to be that for you. Eklavya used to follow you when I could not and he informed me about the party which was going to be raided by the police. The future king under no circumstances could be found to be a part of such a party. So, I abducted you from there."
Sona faced Aby and put her palm on his cheek and looking straight into his eyes said "you spoke your heart out that day Aby. I fell in love all over again with you that day."
Sona looked down and continued, "you felt hot and opened your shirt. While complaining to me about me. You said that she doesn't mind me getting close to anyone.' To show it you hugged me. Trust the spirits Aby a current of 550 watts passed through my body and my hands refused to listen to me and I wrapped them around your torso.
That was technically our first hug."
She had a small pearl-like tear in her eye. She took his hands in her and said, "I am sorry Aby for lying to you. Please don't be angry."

"Only if you hug me right now, my love." To Aby's demand, Sona jumped in his lap and hugged him tightly. "I also have a little confession, Sona."

"Hmmm" Sona just 'hmmed' in response. She loved the music their hearts made.

"Our first kiss was not on the day you confessed your love. It was in the bathroom of the safe house." Sona was stunned with the information but gestured Aby to continue.
"The day Dheya passed away you were shattered and were not in your senses. I could not think of anything. I could not see you in pain.
Eklavya told me that you went into depression when your parents died because you housed the sorrow within and didn't vent it out. I could not let that happen to you. So, I kissed you to comfort you, make you forget your pain. In the process, I pinched your lip and the first drop of tear fell from your eye. I didn't know the kiss of love would result in a kiss of relief. I am sorry to Sona for kissing you without your permission."

Sona looked into Aby's eyes for several seconds to find out any traces of lie. All she could see was truth and honesty.
"I love you Aby."
The hug that followed after the honest revelations of the secrets they were hiding, was a hug of trust and enamour.

'Together forever'

After three years of excellent governance, Swarnbhoomi emerged as a state with a high happiness index as promised by its ruler Abhedya Rajvanshi. Lots of old rules and regulations were changed. Swarnima was no longer just the protector but the Queen of Swarnbhoomi.
Yes! After a Royal Proposal by the King of Swarnbhoomi, the Protector of the King of Swarnbhoomi agreed to marry him.
The proposal was magical and unique. The entire family proposed Aby's dream girl Sona to be his wife and bring peace to his life. 

Swarnima did not have parents but when she had to walk down the aisle five men stood with her. Randeep, Rudra, Maan, Nivi and Eklavya.

"Guys, I am already under her spell and hostage of her love and in her love. Even if I have a reason, trust me I won't say a word to her. I am scared and feel threatened by her army." Abhedya's scared confession brought a smile on everyone's face and the emotional moment turned into a happy one.

After the ceremony was over an excited Aby ran to his room where his Queen was waiting for him. Sona was sitting near the dresser opening her heavy jewellery. He walked to her and saw her reflection in the mirror.

"You do know you are the most gorgeous girl alive on the planet earth." Aby hugged her from behind.
Sona smiled and replied, "you do know you are the reason for my gorgeousness."
The blush on Aby's face was a shade darker than Sona's red lehenga. They continued looking at each other's reflection when something caught Aby's attention.

"Hey... is this the same picture... with which our secret wars started? The one you hid in your bathroom?" Aby took the photo which was now framed.

"Yes. I didn't want to start our new journey with any unsolved secrets. I hid the picture because that was the last gift of my one true love to me. I was not allowed to keep anything attached from my past with me. But, I couldn't part with this, you know the reason. So, I hid it. When you found about it I got baffled and didn't know how to react. For me, it was a treasure that just got looted. I didn't want anyone to see it, not even you.
You asked me why was I hiding it? What could I answer then? Say that I was still madly in love with you and treasured this faded picture you gave me. when you were not even sure if we could be friends?
I know I overreacted. Sorry!! But now you know my craziness for my 'forever Valentine' my 'childhood sweetheart' and now my 'husband'." Sona hugged Aby tightly.

"With ten minutes of the night already gone I am not wasting any more time." Aby pulled Sona and trailed her face sensually with this finger.  

"Waste?? Really?? You got to date and dance with your adversary because of that." Sona argued.

"True that! But now I am all set to dance to different music and take our date to level.... 'xyz'!!!" Aby jumped with Son

on the bed and a night full of passion, endless love, moans and groans followed.

This is a nursery rhyme but truly summarises the life of our protagonists.
Swarnima... the golden girl who lost her family when she turned eight. She lived a life with a pseudo-identity. The boy she loved since she was a child was right in front of her but she could not tell him how madly she was in love with him.

Abhedya... was a rare diamond who lost his passion, his one true love when he was young. He blamed himself for losing her because he promised to protect her but could not. When he met her again she was a different person and was caged in rules, regulations and unreasonable restrictions. Above all, the normal boy he thought he was, was a lie. He was a King and the girl he loved was his protector.

If it was not for Swarnima's pure and innocent soul and Abhedya's will to not let her go this time, the childhood sweethearts would have separated by the walls of differences between them. They both tried hard to diminish these differences and problems and kept rowing their boat of love till it reached an island that was built on trust, faith and love between the two.

I feel emotional as I end this story with a mix of parts left unanswered and a brief epilogue.
It's hard and rare to find true love but when you do, cherish it and believe in it.
