Kavin started,"Purvi, actually Aishwarya and I were supposed to get married. But, something happened and we never got married .It was an arranged marriage. Aishwarya's parents died when she was young. Then, her uncle and aunt took care of her."

"Why didn't you get married?"Asked Purvi.

"I never wanted to marry Aishwarya. I was young at that time. I talked to her about this. But, her time she shut this matter down saying that she can't break this alliance. She can't break her uncle's heart." Kavin continued.

"What did you do then?"

" I did something terrible to her. I came to know that she wanted to be a lawyer but i couldnt accept this. Becoming a lawyer means defending criminals, how can a CID officer's wife do that? That was the last straw for me. She wanted to apply for an university in Japan. The university had a policy, applicants have to sent an email and have to sent a letter too. Then, they verified both of them. Aishwarya told me to post her letter but.."

"But?"

"But, I didn't post her letter. Then the university notified her that they received her email but didn't receive the letter, so she isn't accepted. Finally, Aishwarya confronted me. And then, she broke the marriage."

"That's how you got what you wanted. You became free from her, right?"

Kavin noticed a fierceness in Purvi's eyes. He couldn't tolerate it at all. The Purvi he looked was so angry at him .

Kavin didn't reply and continued his story,"After somedays I got to know that there was a fire accident which killed Aishwarya's uncle and his family. It was a miracle that Aishwarya survived. I tried to contact her after that but..."

"But she didn't answer." Purvi said.

Kavin nodded.

Purvi looked at him,"Kavin sir, what you did is not acceptable at all. However, you are feeling guilty now. Maybe, if you say sorry and apologise genuinely she will forgive you."

"Maybe," he replied.

Purvi remembered something ,"Aishwarya didn't look shocked at all when she saw you."

"Yes, I noticed it too. Also the watch she was wearing, I had gifted it to her."

"Maybe she still likes you."

" I don't know if she ever liked me in the first place. So, it's hard to know whether she still likes me or not. But, one thing is sure that I never liked her in that way and I still don't like her."

Even though Purvi was feeling sad for Aishwarya, hearing Kavin's true feelings made her a bit relieved. Maybe, Purvi had a chance after all.

Meanwhile

Dushyant was observing Ishita. She looked a bit disturbed ever since she met Sree.

He approached her.

Ishita was reading a file or should he say staring at the file.

He called her name,"Ishita!"

Ishita got a bit startled,"Yes,sir."

"What are you doing?"

"Reading this file."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes,sir. Why?"

"Because you are holding the file upside down."

Ishita looked at the file in her hand. She was actually holding it upside down. She became a bit embrassed.

"Are you worried about something,Ishita?" Asked Dushyant.

"Not at all. I think I might be a little sleep deprived."

"Try to get sufficient sleep." Saying this he started to leave.

But, he remembered something,"You have been acting strange ever since you saw Sree."

"Ohh...that? I just didn't expect him here, that's all."

He wasn't convinced yet decided not to argue.

"You know, if you have any problems you can always talk to me."

"Yes,sir. Thanks for your concern."

Dushyant smiled and left.

Author's note : I know its a small chapter. But, I wanted to introduce Aishwarya and Sree to all of you. Both of them are major characters of this story so please don't skip their parts.
