Sweat dripped down his face.

He slammed his fist on the table,"Boss, believe me I didn't do this!"

ACP rubbed his forehead and yelled, "How can I trust you, Salunkhe? I found a deas body in your house! A DEAD BODY!"

Salunkhe yelled back," I told you it wasn't me!"

Being frustrated Abhijeet said,"Why won't you tell us what's the connection between you and Sohel?"

Salunkhe replied ," I don't know him, Abhijeet! My answer won't change no matter how many times you ask me!"

Abhijeet pointed at Salunkhe and said,"You are lying , Dr. Salunkhe."

Daya tried to calm Abhijeet down. He put a hand on Abhijeet's hand in order to calm him , "Abhijeet maybe he is telling the truth."

Tarika entered the conversation too. She was tensed, her voice was shaking, she was trying her best to save her boss, "Yes, Abhijeet. Daya is right."

Abhijeet looked at his fiance in her anger," Stay out of it, Tarika. Sohel was an intelligence officer."

ACP agreed with Abhijeet ,"Sohel was a brave officer of the country. If the news gets out that someone from CID killed am intelligence officer, we will be in trouble."

Salunkhe slammed his fist and protested again, " I didn't kill him! I have already told this 1000 times and i will tell this again. I didnt kill him."

ACP stared at him but didn't say anything . He then looked at Sachin ,"Sachin! Keep him in custody and get the truth from him!"

Sachin was hesitant.

ACP ordered him again but this time in a stern tone,"Get the truth out of him!"

"Yes, sir." Murmured Sachin.

ACP entered the headquarters.

Dushyant quickly approached him,"Sir! We have come to know the location where the drugs deal will happen."

ACP was impressed," Great work. Daya, Shreya, Dushyant and Nikhil you will go in this mission. We must stop this drugs deal."

"Yes, sir." All four of them replied.

The four officers reached the spot and tried to stop the drugs deal. They were almost successful but at the last moment Daya got shot.

Dushyant quickly shot the goon who had shot Daya.

Shreya screamed ,"DAYA SIR!"

Nikhil quickly called an ambulance.

Daya was taken to the hospital.

Shreya kept saying, " Nothing will happen to you, sir. Please, sir. You can't leave us."

After some hours , the doctors declared that nothing serious had occurred. The bullet just grazed Daya'a shoulder. He could go home if he wanted.

Despite eveyone telling Daya not to return and to stay in the hospital, Data returned to the CID Bureau.

Abhijeet said ," You always do this, yaar! You should have stayed in the hospital!"

Daya smiled," A bullet can't do anything to Daya!"

Kavin also joined the conversation, "After all, you are the strongest officer, sir. What can happen to you?"

Freddy gave a mischievous smile,"Someone is buttering,Daya sir."

Purvi approached Daya with some medicines," Sir, your medicines."

Daya thanked her," Thanks, Purvi. How are things with Dr. Salunkhe?"

"No improvement, sir."

Hearing this ,everyone became sad.

Purvi caught Shreya looking at Daya.

She went to Shreya and tapped her shoulder.

Purvi said ," What's wrong?"

Shreya was a bit tensed ," I thought something will happen to Daya sir."

Purvi sighed ," Shreya, you need to get away from these feelings. You have a husband and a CHILD! You can't have feelings for Daya sir anymore!"

Shreya protested," I know! But I can't stop these feelings, Purvi."

Just then , a man entered with a child.

Shreya was shocked.

The man said ," Is Shreya here?"

Shreya became startled, "Siddharth...you...what are you... and Nidhi why is she with you?"

Shreya opened her arms and invited her daughter. But, Nidhi, her daughter hid behind Siddharth.

Shreya became sad," Nidhi, sweetie come to mama."

Nidhi aggressively shaked her head.

Kavin asked ," What happened?"

Siddharth sighed ,"What's the time,now?"

Daya said ,"8 pm!"

Suddenly , Shreya realised," I am soo sorry!! I was supposed to pick Nidhi at 6 pm!!"

Siddharth said,"Exactly she kept waiting for 2 whole hours. She was their all alone and kept crying continously. Then, her caretaker called me and I had to keep her ."

Abhijeet said ,"Why didn't her caretaker call Shreya?"

Siddharth replied ,"She called Shreya 30 times but she didn't reply."

Shreya murmured," I was in the hospital with Daya sir at that time."

Siddharth saw Daya's injury and immediately connected the dots. Shreya liked Daya before her marriage but looks like her feelings were still there.

A really weird situation was created . No one knew what to say.

Suddenly, Siddharth got a call.

"What do you mean the clients are leaving? Try to keep them for some more time. I am coming soon."

Siddharth hung the call.

"Shreya,can you please take care of Nidhi now?"

Shreya nodded.

"Nidhi, go and stay with Mama. Papa, will be meet you back at home."

Nidhi said,"No want. Mama, no love me"

Nidhi was small almost 5 years old.

Siddharth picked Nidhi,"Mama loves you. Your mama is a superhero , so she had some work."

"Spidey?"

"Yes, like Spidey. She will be with you now."

Nidhi somehow became convinced."OK."

Siddharth slightly kissed her forehead and put her down.

Nidhi slowly went to Shreya.

Shreya hugged her daughter,"Mama is really sorry dear."

Nidhi hugged her back," Its ok."

Siddharth bade everyone farewell and returned. On his way back, he wondered where did he fail. Why Shreya never liked him even though he was her husband? He gave everything to her for these 6 years still she loved Daya .

Feeling disheartened Siddharth closed his eyes and took a deep sigh.
