Chief: Is the head of the clan, basically a leader. But has to go through her council for decisions.

Council: Aids the Chief in decision making, which includes battle plans, mentors, ranking, patrols. And sometimes more important matters such as exile.

Healer: Basically the medicine cat of the clan. 

Gatherer: A healer's apprentice is a Gatherer. The forge for herbs, and take over as a Healer when their mentor dies. They are only allowed to use herbs and heal others with the permission of their mentor.

Hunters: A group of cats who hunt for the clan. In battle take defensive.

Guards: A group of cats who patrol the territory and guard camp. Are also the cats who are first in battle.

Caretakers: Cats who care for the kits and well-being of camp. They change the moss, repair the dens, fetch water, and basically any other chore except if a trainee is assigned to it.

Trainees: Cats who are learning to become either a Hunter, Guard, or Caretaker. Either a trainee chooses in the beginning what they want to be, and are assigned one mentor from the category. Or are trained in a group from cats of all categories. The trainees will then select what they want to be at their ceremony.

Queen: A she-cat who is nursing kits. A queen will take a break from her duties while her kits rely on milk. She has the option to leave the nursery after her kits are weaned and a caretaker will care for them or she can stay until they become trainees.

Kits: The youth of the clan. Once a kit shows the maturity, responsibility, and size to be a trainee, they will have their ceremony.

Veteran: Elderly cats who are unable to do their duties. They are treated with utmost respect as they have spent their days helping the clan. They are given as much respect as a council member. Many kits and trainees love to listen to their stories.
