Laughter is a gift
One I do not
Often seem to possess.
But when I do
It is not loud
Like my family’s,
And it is not proud.
My laugh is shy,
It is quiet,
And often maybe
Slightly afraid.
Like a butterfly
Or a bird,
Never staying long,
But always loved
By those who
Truly appreciate both
It and me.
