Russia went back to looking through the files, trying to find any indication of whatever she was looking for.

She found something different.

12-06-1938: A girl was born to Subject Republiken, Der Führer’s ‘special project’. She was of satisfactory standards. 3.3 kg in weight, 49 cm in length, and was not born prematurely at 39 and a half weeks. She will be kept away, alongside her sister, Tyurshkodka.

It was in that jagged scrawl signature to Auschwitz, and it was written on paper previously in a notebook similar to that of a detectives, though it was yellowed with the years it had been sitting in a file.

Russia didn't continue to read the file labeled PROJECT RSFSR. She didn't start the files next to it titled PROJECT ASYLUM-SEEKER and PROJECT LÄNDER. She did, however, start to read PROJECT 1917.

26-08-1937: Der Führer brought in a new subject today. One of the Kommunisten. He aims to see if there really is any racial difference between personifications. Subjects Wakei, Däne, and Wegen will be used for comparison, along with volunteering German provinces.

27-08-1937: Die Kommunist has been given a label. Subject Republiken. Project 1917 is underway. The four-year-old child of Project 1917 met her father today. A shame that such racial impurities have mixed with the epitome of purity.

There was a few-year-gap in files that had evidently been torn out before:

15-02-1944: Der Führer has finally thrown Subject Republiken out. She was a liability, and her children are too. But Der Führer wants to keep them. At least for now.

It was dark now, far past 20:00. And Germany hadn’t come home yet.
