Chapter 20

Author's Notes: I'm not totally sure how many chapters are left, but I can tell you it's definitely less than five. I'm so excited for the finale! Rate; message; banners!

Quote of the day: "NO! This is where I draw the line! That BITCH and Adam are not getting married ON MY BIRTHDAY! Yes, you heard me, MY BIRTHDAT! Gah! RUN, Rachel, RUN to Adam before he and bitch get married on September 15th! Guess what? I think I'm going to get all the reinforcement I can possibly get to help Rachel beat the clock. *Pulls rock from pocket and throws it across the room* Pikachu, I choose you!"

I think it was the Pikachu part that drew me in, possibly because I just sat through a two hour Pokemon movie with my little brother. God forbid. ~~Alex

Oh, dear God, what was I thinking? Why on earth did I believe her? Now look! It's freaking September 15th... the day of my wedding.

I glanced at the clock anxiously. It was ten 'o clock in the morning. I quickly looked up the wedding on the internet. There must be something, some blog about the wedding with all of the publicity that it's been receiving. I was elated when I found something. I read on... September 15th... Juliana David... Adam Hart... noon...

My heartbeat quickened and I dashed up, dug up our passports, and ran to Patrick's room.

"Sweetie, get up, we're going on a trip."

Patrick rubbed his eyes sleepily. "Huh?"

I ran over and picked him up. "No time, sweetie, let's go!"

He just looked confused. I dashed out of the house, put Patrick in his seat and put his seatbelt on, then jumped in the front seat. I sped to the nearest airport, which was thankfully close by.

I ran like a mad woman, carrying Patrick. I was breathless when I reached the airport. There was a huge line. I'd never make it! I looked up at the departing schedule. The next flight left in... five minutes. The line was too long.

"Excuse me, excuse me, please, I've got an emergency!" I yelled.

People gasped when they saw me. "Please let me in the front, this is urgent, I have no time to waste!" I pleaded.

People are suckers for celebrities. I was easily allowed to cut my way to the front of the line.

Two minutes later, I was dashing towards the plane.

"Wait, wait, I'm coming!" I wailed. The man was about to close the doors when he saw me. I handed him the paper and he let me through when recognition flashed through his eyes.

Patrick and I took a seat, and I was impatient. Please let me get there in time...

Juliana looked at herself in the mirror. "How do I look, mom?"

Her mom shuffled around nervously. "Beautiful, darling."

"What do you think, Bridget?"

Bridget frowned. "Jules, you look awesome, but..."

Juliana sighed. "Can you at least act happy at my wedding?"

Bridget shook her head. "Not when it's costing my sister her happiness."

"Whose side are you on, huh? I'm your sister, too. I'm dying. Doesn't my happiness count?"

"Of course it does, but not with Adam... I was so awful to Rachel..."

Juliana rolled her eyes. "Bridget, please don't talk about... her at my wedding."

Bridget sighed. "Fine."

Back at the church, Adam fidgeted around nervously. Drew just looked on with a frown.

"You, my friend, are making the biggest mistake of your life. When I imagined you up here, it wasn't with Juliana," Drew shook his head.

Adam looked down at his polished, black shoes. "Me either. But what can I do? She suckered me in."

Adam spoke in a low voice so none of the guests could hear him. Most of the guests didn't approve at all. They wanted it to be Rachel whom he was marrying.

"You can say 'I don't' when the time comes."

Adam sighed. "I can't. I'd feel awful later."

Drew shook his head. "Then you are one burnt cookie."

Adam felt like crying. The day that was originally supposed to be the best day of his life turned into the worst.
