Adam stood there for a minute, not believing what he was hearing. Marry Juliana? How could he marry Juliana?

"I'm sorry Juliana, but I don't think I can do that."

Juliana was not about to give up. "Please; I know you don't love me, but I love you. You're the only man I will ever love. I don't want to go without doing this first. Please."

Adam sighed. He felt bad for her. He didn't like her in that way at all, but he wasn't sure how he could say no to her after this.

"Please."

He gave in. "Fine."

I felt so miserable. I still couldn't believe all that had happened. Just my luck that Juliana had leukemia and demanded that I leave Adam so she could be happy with him. Well, technically she pleaded and I was dumb enough to give in.

Now that I thought about it, how convenient is it that Juliana, the one person who wants me away from Adam, suddenly got leukemia? And she said she'd had it for a few years. Yet no one, not even Adam, whom she dated for like three years, knew. My mouth dropped open and I literally slapped myself.

That bitch! Ugh! Damn you, Rachel, for being so damn gullible! I screamed out loud in my anger, but then remembered that Patrick was asleep.

Why the hell did I believe her? Damn it, I'm too damn nice. I should have seen this coming. Leukemia? Leukemia my ass!

The more I thought about, the angrier I got.

I saw an email pop up. It was from Kia. I hadn't answered any of her or Sierra's calls, texts, IMs, or emails. It had the link to a gossip magazine. I was curious, so I went over and clicked on it.

It was in fact a tabloid. It was of me.

Juliana David from New York to Marry Adam Hart, Rachel's Fiancée! Where is Rachel?

Anger fueled inside of me burst. That whore is NOT marrying my Adam! Why did I fall for her stupid trick? I felt so stupid!

I looked at the calendar. My eyes widened in horror.

It was September 15th.
