Asher's P.O.V.

She's gone. I let her leave. I knew forcing her to stay here with me would make her more upset or even hate me. I will never let her go. She's my mate and after being with her, kissing her, touching her, I wanted nothing to do with any other female. I love Katie.

I walked back to the car and got in the passenger seat. Colton was driving and gave me a sympathetic look, I nodded at him giving him a hint to drive back home. He turned the key in the ignition and began to drive off, farther and farther away from my beautiful mate. The one I desperately need.

I walked up to the room she was staying at, stepping over the door I broke down. Her scent still lingered around the room. I sat on the bed where she once was a stared at the wall across from me. I am absolutely lost without her.

I turned my head and looked around the room, spotting a t-shirt that must have fell out of her bag. It was green, like the color of her eyes which were a beautiful blue/green color that would make anyone fall in love.

I may sound like a complete stalker but when you find your mate and then suddenly she's gone, it's like your life doesn't even matter anymore. She said that she just needed a chance to live a normal life and if she didn't like it, she'd come back, I'm holding her to it.

*Katie's P.O.V.*

Now I'm in Nevada. In about five hours I should be in Los Angeles, California starting a new life. As I was driving I kept seeing Asher's face, his gorgeous, male model looking face. This felt so wrong leaving. My body, heart, and mind ached for him. The way we kiss and our lips fit perfectly together. I knew I would miss it, but I needed this. Yeah, I need this... You keep saying that to yourself Katie...

I was getting tired so I stopped at a 'Hilton Hotel' that was in Las Vegas. Yes I'm in Las Vegas. Things are pretty crazy here. So this is what normal people do. See, when you're a wolf you can't leave your pack or territory, otherwise that gave other packs permission to kill you or capture you.

I was slightly worried because other wolves could still come up to me and kill me for trespassing. The only way to hide your werewolf scent is to wear a vanilla scented perfume. Weird I know, but you can't smell any trace of a wolf if it's over taken by vanilla. Only certain alphas knew about this trick to hide your scent.

I walked in the hotel and got my room. I opened the door to the small hotel room. It was pretty average. I threw myself on the bed taking a deep breath. Tomorrow I will be in California, as a human. This should be fun.

The next morning I got up and started driving again. My wolf is very angry with me and I understand why. I'm upset with myself as well. I'm contemplating whether this is a mistake leaving or not... Should I keep driving, or turn back to where I belong?

I pulled over to the side of the road where a pay phone stood. Asher had given me his number the day I got here so I decided to call. I needed to hear his voice. My wolf was going crazy to be with him again.

"Hello?" Asher answered after a few rings. His voice sound irritated and hard.

"Asher?" I asked, already knowing it was him. There was a brief silence then he spoke again.

"Katie! Where are you? How are you? I miss you." He said all at one, not letting me speak. I wanted to cry. He said he missed me... I was missing him more than he would ever know.

"Hi, I'm near Las Vegas... I'm not ok..." I admitted. I heard him growl over the phone.

"Has anyone touched you? Are you hurt?" He asked with concern.

"No, I'm not hurt. But I'm coming back " I said. Yes I made the decision of coming back in a split second because I can't bear to be away from him.

"You are?" He asked in a cheery voice. I giggled and he had a light laugh too.

"Yes, I'll be back tomorrow-" I said before he cut me off. Again with the interrupting! Rude...

"No, I'm coming for you right now. Where are you, angel?" He asked. Oh he called me angel again. Can someone pinch me? Wait don't. I like this dream.

"Well I'll turn around to go back to the hotel I was at. It's a Hilton hotel in the middle of Las Vegas. It's not too hard to find." I let out a light laugh.

"Alright, I'll be there in a couple of hours." And with that he hung up and I went back to driving, back to the hotel.

2 Hours Later

I waited outside the hotel on a bench. Asher should be here any minute. I sighed happily at the thought of him coming to get me. My wolf was simply over joyed.

I felt two small taps on my should and looked up to see Brandon... He is a member of my old pack. I shot up out of my seat and took a step backwards, away from him. He seemed amused.

"What do you want?" I asked, well more like demanded. I glared at him with narrow eyes.

"Your father is looking for you." He simply stated.

"Well tell him that he can stop. I'm not coming back." He looked confused by my words. Brandon Tool a step towards me.

"What so now you're a rogue?" He asked. I was about to respond but the familiar voice behind me already had.

"No, she's in my pack." It was Asher that spoke. He wrapped an arm around my waist possessively from behind me. At this moment, I couldn't help but focus that Asher was here. His touch made my body feel like it was on cloud 9.

"I see you've got yourself a mate, Katie." Brandon said, sounding amused. I could tell Asher was glaring at Brandon because Brandon was also glaring.

"Leave." Asher demanded. Brandon let out a small chuckle and took another step forward.

"I can't go anywhere unless you give me Katie." Brandon stated. That's why he's here. So he can take me back to my former pack.

Asher's grip on my waist tightened. "Well isn't that unfortunate. You're not taking my mate anywhere." Asher growled at Brandon and he took a step back.

"I'm afraid I can't leave until I have the girl." Brandon stated. Then he eyed me up and down and I felt uncomfortable with his gaze. Asher quickly moved my behind him so that he couldn't look at me anymore.

I placed both my hands on his back and pressed my cheek to it. He tensed at my touch at first, and then he relaxed.

"Well I'm afraid that you're just stupid. I won't hesitate to kill you if you try to take my mate.." Asher warned. Brandon let out a dark chuckle.

"This isn't your territory so I'm afraid you can't do that." I didn't have to look at Brandon to know that he was smirking.

"Come on." Asher turned around and wrapped his arms around me, keeping me close. We walked back to his car and he opened my door.

"This isn't over!" Brandon shouted and then he walked the opposite direction.

Asher got in the car. He was breathing heavy and beyond pissed. I put my hand on his arm and stroked it up and down soothingly. "Hey it's ok." I told him. He relaxed slightly under my touch. Then he looked back at me.

"I will never let anyone take you. You are mine and only mine. I'm not letting you go again." He said. Then he grabbed my face lightly and crashed our lips together. I didn't hesitate to kiss him back this time. I knew coming back was the best option for me. This is where I was meant to be.

We pulled back up to the house. He quickly came to my side of the car and opened the door for me. He slipped his hand in mine and walked me up to the house.

When we walked in, it seemed like the whole pack was there. Most of them were in the living room, while some of the others were in the kitchen.

As we were walking up towards to stairs, I felt a few of the male wolves staring at me and shamelessly checking me out. That didn't go unnoticed by Asher.

He quickly put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. "Mine!" He snapped at one of the guys. The guy bowed his head and walked away.

Asher and I walked up the stairs and into his bedroom. I looked to see that the door of the guest room was still knocked down on the floor.

Once he shut the door, Asher pulled my in for a hug. Wrapping his arms around my waist like I'd disappear. He put his head in the crook of my neck and inhaled my scent.

I didn't know what to say at that moment so I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him impossibly close. I shut my eyes and enjoyed the way we fit so perfectly together.

"Please don't ever leave me again." He whispered against my hair. I pulled out of the hug and cupped his face with my hands. "I won't, I promise." I told him. Without hesitation, he crashed his lips on mine.

We stood there passionately kissing and then he picked me up off the ground. I wrapped my legs around his waist while his arm was cupping my butt and the other was on my neck, pulling my forward and trying to take all of me in just one kiss.

He started walking and then I felt my back press against something soft, I'm guessing the bed.

He hovered over me, and only breaking the kiss for a second for much needed air. I started to grind my hips against his and he let out a low moan from the back of his throat.

Asher gripped my waist tighter and then started to grip the bottom of my shirt, and tugging at it.

Clothes bothered me right now so I decided to take off his shirt and he decided the same for me. His bare chest against my stomach let out sparks running through my body.

"Mine." He said in a low moan, which was totally turning me on even more, if that was even possible.

Then I felt a slight sting in between my shoulder and neck. He bit down and stayed there for a second.... He marked me.

"Now everyone will know that you're mine and mine only." He said. Now usually I would just throw some sarcastic back talk to him for trying to control me but this felt so good. What Asher was doing made my wolf howl

He started kissing down my stomach. His hands were trying to undo the button on my pants and then I realized what was happening.

"Stop." I said. I tried to make my voice sound stern but it came out more like a moan.

"I don't think you want me to." He said against my neck. He kissed and licked the mark he left on me.

"Please... I'm not ready." I told him. It's true, I'm still a virgin. He stopped, and then hovered his face over mine.

"Alright." He said in a low whisper. He put his lips against mine. The kiss was soft and passionate. It was the best closed mouth kiss I've ever had.
