Katie's P.O.V

It's official, my hair hates me. I've been trying to get the gum out of my hair- that Colton so kindly stuck in. What an asshole. I've tried everything to get it out. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING seems to work. Just my luck.

Luckily, he placed the gum just at the tip of my hair, well he tried to place it at the top of my head but my ninja skills kicked in and I dodged it... Mostly.

I grabbed the scissors that were in the drawer and snipped out the tips, making sure not to cut off too much

Boom! Problem solved, the gum is gone. Now I just have to deal with the rat's nest I created in it from trying to remove the gum.

I took a quick shower and then got dressed again.

"Katie, come on the pack member are here." Asher said, while knocking on the door.

Some of the pack members have come over because we are discussing 'battle plans'. I feel like it would be completely inappropriate to say this out loud but I just feel awesome- or like I'm in a Star Wars episode and going to beat some bitchs. I feel badass. That is until Asher told me I couldn't help fight if my pack tried to attack us.

I was basically only being used because since that was my previous pack, I know strengths and weaknesses. Most packs only had 50 super well trained wolves at most. Our pack on the other hand, had over 120. Like I said, we dedicated our life to being fighters.

Our top 10 fighters would be the best of the best and the hardest to knock out. That I knew for sure.

I walked out of the bathroom and down the stairs. Only 30 or so pack members were here and seated around the living room. I joined Asher in the front. Every bowed their heads in respect to Asher and I, their Alpha and Luna. I still felt a bit uncomfortable when anyone called me Luna or bowed. It's really weird I guess but hey, people give you gifts sometimes and sometimes it turns out to be chocolate. Boo ya!

Asher cleared his throat and that caught everyone's attention. "Katie, I'd like you to tell us the top five fighters of your previous pack."

I nodded. "Well um, as you may know that my previous pack was known for their fighters. The top five are the best of the best and will be quite difficult to take down. They are Jacob, Tony, Evan, and Luke." I stopped and took a breath.

"That's only four." A pack member said.

I rolled my eyes. "No shit Sherlock." I mumbled but since werewolves have super good hearing- everyone heard.

Colton laughed out loud and Asher couldn't help but join in. I blushed from embarrassment. "Anyway... The last person you will have to worry about is Heather. She's a girl, yes, but one hell of a fighter. She is the sneakiest person I've ever seen and is not afraid to attack." Oh Heather. She was actually my only friend in my pack. Her and I got along really well. I miss her greatly and it would be a shame if she did join the fight. I hope she wouldn't but knew he would.

Colton scoffed. "I'm sure you're just being over dramatic. She's a girl." He always is so cocky! Damn I wish Heather was here to beat his ass.

Asher glared and so did I. "Shut up Colton. You won't be so cocky after she whoops your ass and hands it to you." I snapped.

Colton just rolled his eyes. Gosh what crawled up his ass and died?

More than usual- Colton has been acting really weird and stupid. He's in bad moods constantly! I think that's why it has been more fun to annoy him than usual...

"Colton, I suggest you show some respect to my mate and your Luna or else you won't like the consequences." Asher warned Colton through gritted teeth.

Colton reluctantly bowed his head in respect. "Sorry Katie-" Asher gave him a low growl, "I mean Luna."

'Good boy! Want a treat?' I said to Colton through mind link. Before he had a chance to reply I blocked him off.

When Asher turned towards the pack again I stuck my tongue at him and he just glared and rolled his eyes. Safe to say, annoying Colton was by far my favorite pass time.

After that little spat we went on to talk about further problems in the pack such as financial and adding a couple of members since one of the other pack members had children and they shifted a couple of days ago.

Asher's P.O.V

After the meeting I told Katie that I needed to Colton privately. She nodded her head and told me to tell him that he needs to get his head out of his ass. Damn my mate is fiesty.

"Colton, my office now." I ordered. He nodded and followed me.

I took a seat behind my desk in the spinning chair while Colton took the seat in front of my desk.

"What the hell is up with you?" I questioned. Colton is my beta and best friend. The guy is practically my brother and a very important part of my life.

"I don't know! I've been so moody and on the edge lately..." He said while placing his elbows on my desk and then burying his face in his hands.

I reached over and patted his shoulders. I was about to say something but he spoke up again. "I think it's because I haven't found my mate. My wolf has been going insane. He wants me to go look for her."

I then started to think about a few weeks before I met Katie. My wolf was also going crazy, almost like he knew she coming soon. Maybe Colton was having the same problem. "Same thing happened to me a couple weeks before I found Katie. Maybe you're going to find her in the next week or so."

He looked up and there was a glint of helpfulness in his eyes. "Really?"

I nodded and shrugged, "Could be."

He grinned wildly. "I can't stop think about what she'll look like or what she'll be like. God what if she rejects me?!"

"Dude, you haven't even met her yet." I said while laughing a bit at his little tantrum.

"I don't know how much longer I can take this. Almost everyone I know that's my age has his or her mate."

"It'll happen, just chill out and lay off with the attitude. Especially towards my mate."

He nodded. "Sorry about that."

I smiled, reassuring that he knows I'm not mad at him. "It's alright, oh she said to get your head out of your ass."

He glared and shook his head. Then suddenly he stopped and looked me in the eyes. "I have a plan."

I looked him with a questioning look. This can't be good. Colton having a plan and being helpful? The world really is ending this year.

Katie's P.O.V

They have all turned stupid. That's the ONLY explanation for Asher's idiotic plan and for the pack to agree to it. Stupid, stupid, STUPID. How could such a thought even cross their minds?! Because they're all dumbasses. Great, my mate's a dumbass. God, I'm a dumbass for dragging Asher and everyone into this mess. Looks like we're all dumbasses here. Especially Colton, he's the king of dumbasses. I mean look at him, he even looks like an ass. Well not really but he has the personality of one...

"Asher, there is NO way I am letting you go over to my old pack with just a few men by your side. They will rip you apart... Literally." I told him.

He shook his head a pulled my in for a hug. "Babe, trust me. Everything will be ok. They can't hurt me because I'm bringing my best fights, and plus I've got a good friend that's the alpha of the Locus pack a few states over. If anything happens, he will be back-up." He reassured. By the way, he did a terrible job of doing.

"You still can't go. This is a terrible, TERRIBLE, idea."

He scoffed, "Thanks for the support." He replied sarcastically.

"I always support you, but this is just stupid. I'll only let you go if I can go too." I bargained.

He let me go but placed his hands on my shoulders and looked into my eyes. "No. No way am I letting you near those psychos."

I laughed lightly. "Yeah? Well there's no way I'm letting you near those psychos. Looks like we're both not going. Oh well." I said.

"I'm going. You, my mate, are not."

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, my mate, I am going if you're going."

"And what happens if you get hurt?" He asks while crossing his arms over his chest.

I shrugged my shoulders. "What will happen if you get hurt?"

He sighed. "Kate, I can't risk anything happening to you. I love you way too much."

I wrapped my arms around his waist. "Please. I love you too much to let you go without me. If anything happened to you I would literally die. We go through everything together, no matter what."

I don't know what I would ever do if Asher died. I think I would end up killing myself. That might sound dramatic but he's my mate. I'm meant to be with him and only him. Once he is gone there will be no purpose of me on this earth... Absolutely none. I've never loved a person so much in my life.

He let out a breath and then kissed the top of my head. "On one condition. You listen and do whatever I say."

I looked up and nodded. He smiled and pressed his lips on mine. I grinned during the kiss and then pulled away. "Come on Mr. Alpha, we've got business to take of." I said while pulling him to our bedroom and giving him a seductive smile. Well attempting to... I probably looked like a whore on crack.

"Mr. Alpha? I like that." He smiled and went along with it. What a hormonal dumbass mate I have. Gosh, I love him.
