"Good morning sir"
"Goodday Mr West"...
William West Walked past the millionth person greeting him today and giving no reply as he did all the rest.

"He looks like he was hit by a train ..." one employee said to the other as Mr West walked past a group of them.

Giving off no emotion he walked lifeless to the elevator.
Anger immediately took over as the elevator opened.
His raging eyes fixed on whoever was in the elevator.

"Good Day Mr West" The person in the elevator muttered.
His guilty face showed how sorry he was but it made no impression to his raging boss standing in front of him .

"Micheal!!, what in the ....., you dared to" William could not bring himself to utter a complete statement. He was both shocked and irritated at the same time at the fact that micheal dared to show up to work.

" I don't work for you you know" Micheal tried to vindicate himself as he stepped out of the elevator,
"What!?" William was now left with no ounce of pity as left a resounding impression on Micheal's left cheeks who was now standing in front of him.
Was he even feeling an ounce of guilt?!

"I deserved that" Micheal sulked as he walked passed with his gaze thrown to the floor so as to avoid William's raging gaze.

William entered the now empty elevator as he let out a huge sigh and an unexplainable sadness washed over him.
He leaned back and ran his hand through his dark locks thinking of what the hell he was going to do.

The 'ding' sound of the elevator snapped William out of his thoughts. As the elevator doors slid open to reveal Mariah his secretary, he didn't even realize the elevator has left the ground floor.

"Good morning Mr West", she greeted warmly as she brought out her iPad to fill him in on the day's schedule.
"So you have the board meeting in 15 minutes," she started as they both walked down towards his office "the meeting with the sales team by 1 and the editor from Forbes will be here by 2" she continued as she looked up and realized she's been talking to herself. William West was long lost.

"Sir are you okay?" She asked concerned
"Sir!" She called again; this time she patted lightly at the sleeve of his single breasted cyan suit.

"Cancel everything" he uttered as he flung open the glass door leading into his office.

" sir ?"  A confused Mariah muttered.
" Sir but we've .."
" you heard me !" He rose his voice startling Mariah

"Okay sir"
" I'm sorry " he forcefully let out as he realized he was a little harsh.

"I want to be alone" he said with almost teary eyes as he ran his hand through his hair for the millionth time; something Mariah has never seen him do hitherto.

" are you sure you're okay sir?, your emotions have been all around the place since you got here". She asked showing concern.

Emotions was not the only thing out of place today for William, he looked like a long distance runner that just broke the world record for that event.

She was replied with a deafening silence from his end.

"Tell Jonathan to meet me after the board meeting today" he said breaking the silence without answering her question.
" you can leave now" he didn't allow her say another word.

"Yes sir" she scurried out.

"Amelia !" He yelled in pain and anger as he sobbed and buried his face in his palm.
