08- cafe,pain,psychotherapist

As the minutes passed and everyone began settling into the rhythm of taking care of Rukmini, Krushna found himself still lost in thought. The memory of the encounter with Preeta kept tugging at the back of his mind, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that it was important to share.

Rishabh was sitting with Rukmini, helping her get comfortable while Swastika organized the medicine, but Krushna couldn’t ignore the thought any longer.

“Bhaiya,” Krushna said suddenly, breaking the silence.

Rishabh looked up, raising an eyebrow. “Hmm? What’s on your mind?”

Krushna hesitated for a moment, but then decided to speak. “There’s something I need to tell you.”

Rishabh set the pillow aside and gave Krushna his full attention. “What is it?”

Krushna shifted uneasily, unsure of how to bring it up. He took a deep breath before continuing. “Earlier today, I bumped into a girl near a café. She... uh, she spilled coffee on me.”

Rishabh looked slightly puzzled but said nothing, waiting for Krushna to go on.

“The thing is,” Krushna continued, “she’s not just anyone. Her name’s Preeta, and she’s a psychotherapist.” He paused, watching Rishabh’s reaction.

Rishabh’s expression shifted to one of mild interest. “A psychotherapist, you say?”

“Yeah,” Krushna said. “She’s really good at what she does. We talked for a bit after the coffee incident, and she... well, she mentioned that she could help. She seemed really knowledgeable, Bhaiya. In fact, I think she might be able to assist with Dadi’s recovery. If you want, I could reach out to her.”

Rishabh’s brow furrowed for a moment as he processed the information. “You think she could help?”

“I do,” Krushna replied, his voice thoughtful. “She might be able to offer some insight into the situation. I didn’t bring it up earlier because, well, I didn’t want to distract from what’s happening now. But I think it could be useful.”

Rishabh nodded slowly, considering it. “I trust your judgment, Krushna. If you think she’s the right person for the job, we should definitely reach out. The doctor made it clear that a physiotherapist is crucial for Dadi’s recovery, and if Preeta can help, then we should make the call.”

Krushna smiled, relieved that Rishabh was open to the idea. “I’ll contact her, Bhaiya. I’ll make sure to explain the situation and see if she’s available.”

“Thanks,” Rishabh said with a nod. “Let’s get it sorted as soon as possible.”

With the decision made, Krushna felt a weight lift off his shoulders. It wasn’t much, but he knew that reaching out to Preeta was the right thing to do, and it would give Rukmini the best chance of recovery.
