There Was A Tower...

Mac POV

Jessika Harrison Sanchez.

The only girl in the entire school who ever seemed to accept me for who I was. My weird, ghost obsessed, camera loving self. She was one of my closest friends.

She was the only thing that had kept me going in this crazy world. A chance that I could find her. I thought the only way I could see her again was by completing my task , but it seemed I was wrong now.

In a way, she had been right under my nose for a long time. Why didn't I listen to Stormy? Why do I always have to make stupid decisions? Trusting my senses was the worst thing to do.

Aladdin and Robin Hood had apparently been taking care of her. We did not have time to discuss much, as at that very moment, Jessika could probably be in danger.

I had decided to search the area with Stormy sniffing her out.

I was devastated by the sight of the ruined city. It was terrible to see that so many people's homes had been destroyed . Was this where the  children had come from?

Jessica's scent was everywhere, according to Stormy, but didn't seen to have a trail to follow. He stopped when we got to the pathway, and sneezed.

"Elfin". He thought with disgust. "She was captured around here by either elves or fairies. There's another scent too...I think another girl was with her".

My fists clenched and the thought, and I was about to make my way back to Aladdin, when I heard muttering from behind me.

"Ugh, need to get out of this sticky..."

I followed the sound and found a large hole in the ground. There was an elf inside tied with thick rope in a net which he seemed to be stuck to.

My eyes widened and so did his when he saw me.

"What are you looking at"?

"Where is she"? I demanded. The elf snorted.

"Oh you're looking for that mad ugly ginger girl are you? Or is it Red Riding Hood you're after "?

Red Riding Hood? Was that Jessika? "Both of them".

"As if I'd tell you". The idiot replied. "I'm not doing anything in favour of those who trapped me in this way".

Oh of course. This was Jessika's handiwork.

I drew out my sword and raised the bottom of his chin with the tip of it. "You will tell me where it is or else".

He laughed. "Stupid child. A mere sword couldn't kill..." He suddenly gasped when he noticed the stardust glittering all over it.

Then he screamed when he noticed something behind me. I looked over to see little Stormy growling at him.

I snickered. " Scared of dogs are you"?

Stormy jumped down to the hole, grabbing the elf's ear in his teeth.

The elf screamed again and wriggled about in distress.  "Alright, alright I'll tell you! Just get this beast off of me".

"Stormy come off of him". I instructed, but being the stubborn wolf he is, Stormy ignored me.

" As I said, I will not take orders from you. This creature helped to capture my mistress and he must pay".

"He can't tell us anything if you're eating his ear".

Stormy sighed and jumped out of the hole. "Fine.  Then we should at least take him to the others so they can hear it too"

I struggled as I heaved the net out of the hole by one end, and once it was out, I wrapped it completely round the elf. "You're coming with us".

The sun had set when I reached Aladdin with the elf. I had had to drag him across the pathway, with Stormy nearby so that he didn't make any stupid moves.

"We found out she's been captured by elves along with another girl," I told everyone as I approached them. I glanced at the children worriedly, as they sat, trying to comfort each other. What the heck even happened here?

"This guy's gonna talk though". I nodded over to the elf on the floor and everyone turned to him.

"Where did you get him from"? I heard one of the children ask.

"Jessika managed to trap him in some hole before she was captured. He's gonna spill some beans now".

Aladdin narrowed his eyes at the creature before speaking. "I suggest you be smart and not surrender your life, elf", he said sternly, "You are going to tell us everything. If you don't I will know".

The elf had the nerve to upturn his nose.

"You wouldn't, but I will tell you anyway".

Jessika POV

"Out". One soldier demanded rudely. We stepped out of the prison carriage, and was immediately grabbed by our arms, which were then chained together.

"Hey, don't you bums know how to handle girls"?! I snapped, as they held the chain and began leading us forward.

They ignored me and kept walking.

After glaring at them I looked forward to see where we were going. I gasped at the site before me.

A huge tower stood tall and mighty in front of us. It was so tall, I actually couldn't see the top of it. Black fumes emanated from the hundreds of small windows, and a long staircase swirled around it, like a snake winding around its prey in order to crush it.

People were flying around the tower with large wings on their backs, carrying all kinds of things in their arms: Barrels, blades, rope, large poles just to name a few.

It looked like a prison.

"Get a move on"! The elf behind me yelled, shoving me forward.

"Look dude, you're not getting away with that behaviour"! I yelled angrily. I turned to Jessica and she nodded, biting the hand of her capturer.

He screamed out in pain, and while the others were distracted, I kicked the rude one where the sun doesn't shine, and he crumpled to the ground. With my hands still tied, I managed to bend down backward and grab the key from the floor.

The others were running towards us. I realised that the chain which was locked to my arm had a sort of metal leash thing attached to it, and I managed to twirl around, whipping it at them as I did.

Hey, it was actually kind of fun.

Jessica, of course, was more skilled than me, and managed to kick the soldiers and hit with her elbows even with her hands still tied.

"Go, Queen"! I yelled proudly, and she laughed as she took another one down.

But more suddenly came pouring out from the gates.

Elves, fairies, dwarves, and I think goblins?

They were after us. And of course, we couldn't just take them down by ourselves.

And so we ran for our lives, not having any idea where we were even going.
