There Was A Stunt...

After introducing ourselves, the children had taken us to their headquaters- the crumpled top half of what was once the town's bell tower.

Peter explained how they had been surviving the passed four years.

"We had to know how to defend ourselves", he said,"some weapons were left behind from the raids, but the rest we had to make them ourselves. We were generally hard workers, our village made sure of that, and used the elements of nature to defend ourselves".

"Then you're like us archers", Robin said, "nature is our greatest power ".

I was deep in thought as Peter said this, trying to think about how I would handle these situations at such a young age.

"You're around like ten, Peter. If this was four years ago, how could you take care of all these kids as a six or seven year old"? I asked.

He looked confused for a moment before answering.

"What do you mean, Jessika? I'm sixteen".

My jaw dropped. Aladdin and Robin both looked stunned as we sat in a moment of silence.

Then I let out a laugh. "Seriously? Like your actually sixteen. You're my age".

"Well, yeah, but I didn't know you were sixteen. You don't look your age".

"I don't look my age? Dude, have you checked in the mirror lately"?

Then I remembered.

He's Peter Pan, idiot, he doesn't grow up.

Never grow up,never grow up, never grow up...

This is not the time, brain. Not. The. Time.

"So the rest of these kids, around what age are they"? I asked out of curiosity and excitement.

"We are mostly teenagers. Our youngest is eleven". Peter said nodding over to the crazy ginger who had captured me.

Wow.

"There's something weird going on here", Al said,"you guys are not growing. This entire territory must be stunted because of the curse. We need to lift it else you guys will be doing the same things for the rest of your lives. You need to move on".

Just then, a young boy with curly black hair ran into the tower. "Peter! Quick"!

"What is it, Nibs"? Peter got up fast.

"Its them. There're like ten of them coming from the distance. They are all holding weapons".

"No...W...where's the Stardust"?

"I'll get it". The ginger stood up.

"What do these elves want? It's good to finally have some fun after the boring journey we just had". Robin took his bow from his back and stretched it out. We all knew immediately who Nibs was talking about.

"No. We can handle this ourselves". Peter told him.

"Have you ever faced a group of them? You mentioned that there's usually two to three of them that you attack before you even get tired". Aladdin pointed out.

"We can handle it. We have been doing this for four years". Peter said sternly.

I got up silently, and looked towards the entrance which the girl was running towards. I decided to run after her.

I was tired of being useless all the time.

"Let me come with you"! I yelled as I followed her out the tower. She looked over her shoulder briefly as she ran but said nothing.

We ran towards the place where Robin and I had been imprisoned, and she slowed down when she came to a pile of logs near the entrance. She silently handed me a pouch, and I took it from her.

As she lifted one of the logs from the ground, my eyes widened as they caught sight of the glittering silver dust in the pot underneath.

Why had it just occurred to me that I had never seen this famous stardust before?

The only thing that could kill anything under the urchin spell.

The girl started gathering handfuls of the dust in her pouch.

I quickly knelt down beside her and did the same.

"Why do you keep it here? Can't it easily be found "? I asked.

"Nobody would think that we would hide something as precious as stardust in a place so unsafe". The girl replied.

Right. Of course.

"How long do you think it will take before they  get here"? I asked, as I gathered the sparkling powder, which felt like flour in my hands.

"About thirty minutes. Nibs' got a good eye. He can see for miles off". The girl replied.

You know what, I'm tired of calling her the girl.

"What's your name if you don't mind my asking"? I was about to help her put the log back down, but she pushed my hand away and did it herself.

She was definitely strong for an eleven year old. That log was larger than both of us out together.

"I do mind your asking. You ask too many questions". She said before walking ahead of me back to the tower.

I walked after her.

If I was the same Jessika as the Jessika who had just arrived in this world an hour ago, I would've immediately judged her attitude and commented about her mood at a young age.

I learnt my lesson with that from Robin. I had remembered how quickly I had judged his grumpiness when I first met him, as I had had no clue about his past.

I knew that these kids had suffered terribly from losing everything they loved. I didn't know the girl's personal story, but I knew that there was a reason she was unhappy.

When we arrived back at the tower, only Robin was there. He had an annoyed look on his face as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.

"Where is everyone"? I asked him.

"They went to guard the village at the place they had ambushed us". Robin replied. "And they left me here to make sure you guys got back safely, meaning I get to miss out on the important things. I don't know why that blonde kid trusts Al and not me. I mean how can someone not trust me"?

Uh, maybe because you sent that person flying across the woods?

But of course, I didn't say that out loud.

"Let's go then". I said.

"You guys could've handled things yourselves, I don't know why I have to babysit you". Robin said as we ran out the tower.

"Well I'm glad you have faith that I can take care of myself". I told him honestly.

"I don't. You got that girl with you". Robin replied.

I rolled my eyes.

Before I knew it Robin was far ahead of me and the girl close behind him. I was still very far behind both of them.

"Wait up! I...I cant keep up with your speed"! I yelled.

Robin looked back at me and rolled his eyes as he ran back. I was startled as he threw me over his shoulder and sped up again.

We reached the others In no time.

Hope you enjoyed that people! About to see some showdown, so brace yourselves.

So now along with Fairy Questions, I decided to ask you guys about your theories for the story.

Theory: Do you think the group would get to Mac and Stormy before they reach the kingdom? If so, how do you think they will meet?

Fairy Question: Aladdin or Robin-Who do you prefer, and why?
