There Was A City...

"A whole new wooorld! A new fantastic point of view! No one to tell us no, or where to..."

"Oh my god, if you don't stop singing I'm gonna throw myself out of the window"! Robin complained, interrupting me and Stormy's Aladdin music marathon. "And Stormy, you're a werewolf. You're not supposed to howl along to songs".

"Oh cheer up, killjoy", I shoved Robin playfully, and Stormy made a yapping noise which sounded a lot like laughter. "I'm trying to lighten up the mood. This ride is boring me to death. I can't believe I'm actually going to meet Aladdin! The way you told me he was the one who was gonna train with me was so casual. He's from my favourite Disney movie ever"!

"I really don't see what's so exciting about it". Robin said, looking back out of the carriage window. "Just please shut up, I can't think with all the noise".

"You know, before I came here, Robin Hood and Aladdin being friends was the last thing I'd ever expect to discover". I said to him. "It's so weird...but in a cool way. Does he have a genie in a lamp who grants wishes? What about his magic flying carpet? Will I get to meet his one and only Princess Jasmine, as well"?

Robin raised one eyebrow. "What kind of version of Aladdin do they tell you in that world"? He asked.

I frowned. "What exactly is he like here"?

Robin sighed. "You'll see".

It felt like ages when the carriage finally stopped at a busy market square, like the one we had left from but way more busier. "Welcome to Morgiana city". The carriage driver said from outside.

Robin came out first, and Stormy and I followed him. I glanced around at my surroundings.

People were dressed differently in this city from those in the town. They wore fancier looking clothing-kimono like gowns, each with its own unique designs, both women and men had long, waist length hair all tied in sleek ponytails.

"Wow, these guys must be the richer peeps". I commented, as I walked with Robin through the bustling crowd, Stormy trailing close behind me.

"That's what it seems to you, but we're all equal in these parts. Each region just has their own style and culture. The people from my place prefer to dress simply, with cloaks and natural fabricated clothing which combines with the nature around us. These people are wizards-their dressing is traditional, the way ancient warriors used to dress. These guys are very original-orientated. While other lands have upgraded their styles to fit their environment, these guys want to continue the old ways". Robin explained.

"That's actually really interesting". I said, as we passed sellers calling out their products, customers bargaining, and young kids leading small heards of donkeys and calves.

A man sat by a stall with cages of different animals inside them. He was smoking a pipe, and giving Stormy a weird, greedy look.

"Stay close, boy". I said to the little wolf, glaring at the man.

We came to a stall with a very large white tent behind it. An old woman  at the stall was polishing some bottles on the shelves, and stopped immediately when she saw us. "Robin? Is that you"? She removed her glasses and rubbed her eyes before placing them back on her nose. "Oh dear, my old age is catching up with me".

"It's me, Hara", Robin said,"it's been awhile, huh".

"My goodness, come here, my boy"! The old lady threw open a small door at the side of the stall, and flung herself at Robin, embracing him in her arms. "Look at how tall you've grown"!

Robin went bright red, as he patted Hara's back. "Really, it hasn't been that long".

"Nonsense! Five years, I say. Five years! And you didn't bother to visit us once"! She suddenly went on her toes, grabbed his ear, and yanked it, making him yell out in pain.

I burst out laughing, unable to control myself. Sorry, but to witness big cold Robin being punished by a little old lady was something I'd never thought I'd see.

"Ow! Hara, let go, seriously"! Robin said, trying to pull her off. But it looked to me like she was much stronger than him.

Hara seemed to notice me for the first time, and let go of Robin's ear. "Who might you be"? She asked, walking over to me.

I looked down at her. "Um...I'm Jessika. Nice to meet you".

"What brings you here with my grandson"? She asked. My eyes widened.

"Robin's your grandson"?

"Not biologically". Robin replied for her, rubbing his ear. "She raised my sister and I when our parents died, when we were very young. She's Aladdin's grandmother".

"Oh wow, OK".

"Um...Hara. Stilts sent us here. He wants this commoner to meet Aladdin". Robin said to the old woman.

"Old Stilts, huh? Well why didn't you say so? The little crooter's in the tent. They're celebrating his victory in the spell contest a while ago. You are free to join them". Hara instructed, and bent down to pet Stormy. "You've grown so much, as  well, haven't you? You must be hungry, Stormy".

"I guess I can leave him with you". I said, and Hara nodded. "I'll be back soon, Stormy".

We're meeting new characters, now. I dropped a little Aladdin hint earlier in part one, I don't know how many of you got it. Anyway, "A Whole New World" is my favourite Disney song, I'm obsessed with the Kylie Cantrall version. For those of you who haven't heard it, I recommend.

I'm dedicating this chapter to @_Skylaw15. I hope you enjoyed!
