Chapter 6
I finally arrived home, luckily for me, Mason didn't follow me. I went in the living room to see the last person I wanted to see...Mark.
"Oh Scarlet dear. Mark has came back to see you." mom smiled.
I faked a smile, just great. This day is just getting better and better. "Hello Scarlet Rose." Mark smiled flirtily,I think.
"Hello Mark, and for the hundredth time, just call me Scarlet." I gave another fake smile.
"I'll just leave you two alone now." mom told us, exiting the room. I wanted so badly to scream 'don't leave me with this freak!'
As soon as she left, Mark dashed beside me, very closely.
I stepped aside and by aside I mean half way across the room, coughing to fulfill the tension.
"You look tense babe, are you alright?" Mark questioned, coming closer to me again. I again stepped aside, "I'm fine and don't call me babe." I hissed, glaring at him.
The doorbell rang and I dashed to the door, thankful for whoever just rang it, but sadly, pretty soon, Mark was beside me.
I sighed, opening the door. I rolled my eyes, seeing who it was.
"What are you doing here Mason?" I asked in annoyance.
"Just wanted to check on you after our little 'incident'. "Incident? What incident babe?" Mark spoke. I rolled my eyes. "I'm fine. It's none of your concern." I gritted.
"Is he your boyfriend? Didn't you say you didn't have one?" Mason questioned.
"Well she does so back off." Mark said angrily. I elbowed him in his stomach, making him wince. He's lucky I didn't actually elbow him hard, that was soft compared to what I could've done which would've made him fly across the room. But Mason's here.
"Mark isn't my boyfriend and he'll never be." I glared at Mark, getting angrier.
"Don't be like that babe." Mark managed to say. "Back off dude, she doesn't like you." Mason said, shoving Mark.
Oh no. He shoved him. Mark gasped, looking at Mason. Oh no. Mark eyed Mason, stepping back slightly, bringing me back with him. Oh no, Mark knows Mason is a werewolf.
When Mason touched Mark, Mark realized he was a werewolf.
Looked like Mason kinda caught on about who he was and eyed Mark suspiciously.
Every vampire has their own special ability. Mark can sense what type of person you are by touch. My mom could see every thought you've ever had.
I am a really special vampire. I have a lot of strength, faster that a normal vampire and I can inflict pain on someone by just thinking of causing them pain.
"Rose? Why are your eyes red now?" Mason asked in confusion, but he seemed like he already knew the answer.
I shook my head. "The reflection of the sunlight in my eyes, that's all." I told him.
He looked ready to say something else when I interrupted him saying, "You should really go, I'll see you tomorrow in school." and I shut the door in his face. Rude, I know, but necessary right now.
Mark suddenly faced me, "I don't want you near him." he ordered. "Why? He's my friend." I asked innocently.
"Mason's a werewolf. He could harm you." he replied.
"Thanks for your concern, but Mason thinks I'm human, werewolves don't humans. Common fact. I'll be fine." I retorted.
"It'll be a matter of time before he finds out, he saw your eye change colour." Mark hissed. "Stay out of my life Mark, now go." I pushed him out the door.
I sighed, running a hand through my red frizzy mess of hair.
