GAINING YOUR TRUST

"Well Mister,we survived this.Whether we're chums or not....still we're survived."Alice said while gasping a little.Charles was still pissed with the man for being a jerk and just leave them there to those hungry wild demons.

The man smirked at them which pissed Charles even more."Yeah,you survived but it was luck.You're all lucky to be still breathing though....But it's all in vein as your bullets ammunitions are running low."filled with rage,Charles tried to approached the man and taught him some lessons but was stopped due to Alice raising her right hand and placed it on his shoulder stopping him instantly.She gestured him to checked their ammunitions stocks instead and both of them checked it and the man was right.

They've used half of their ammunitions and it's just day one.They had 3 more days balanced and it'll be hard with a low ammunitions and lack on knowledge on how to instantly killed those wild demons.

Both of the kids started to felt anxious and worried.They needed to survive this for their family.They had to go to Goldy Pond as it's their only hope on discovering the way to cross to human world.Easy to say,they were their family's only hope.

'Look at them,Now you both going to learn the hard truth.There's no hope,no way,nothing can save us from this  place.'the man thought to himself while observing the terrified faces of Alice and Charles.

"Don't worry Charles.Never lose hope right..??"

"Yeah,of course.You miss optimist."

"Dont call me that(while putting both of her arms on her hips).I got a pretty name you know."

"Yeah,yeah....whatever."He smirked at her which resulting her to exploded with rage and thus hitting his forehead with such force.

ALICE POV

'Today is day 3 of our journey.We've been randomly attacked by those wild demons almost all of the time.We're all lacking on sleep and Charles started to got some sleep deprived.He also said he did hallucinated yesterday.

        But that man,Ohhhh he's something else.He seem's fine even if he only got to sleep for at least half an hour.He also seems more energetic than before.Yesterday was the worst.We got attack at midnight where there was a dozen of 'em coming to our little camp.Tried to devoured us one by one.We were forced to used all of our strength that left in us and counter attacked them all.Maybe yesterday was the day where the man used his full potential as he wielded a twin double barrel shotguns and killed those demon instantly.

It's already night time right now.We're almost arrive at Goldy Pond.Right now,we're at A07-63.I'm so glad that even it was hard but we will be manage to arrive at William Minerva's place.'

"Still writing in that journal huh.??"Charles asked me.He was sitting right beside me.I closed the book and tied my hair which was messy and long into a braid.

"Yeah,it's the only thing that remind me of him."I said as then I tried to hold back my tears.

"You know,I missed them too.Espeacilly Carol.She was nice to me,unlike you who always annoys me."I hit the back of his head when I heard that.We both then laugh a little remembering all of our sweet memories with the both of them.

"It's very unfair.I mean they're good people.Why do they had to go.?"I asked him and he just sighed at me.He then breath in and out to calmed himself before answering my question.

"Well,if you go to a flower park,Which flower will pick.?"

"Hey I'm the one who ask the question here!"But he still gave me that look.I finally gave up and answered his question in annoyed tone.

"Of course the very beautiful one.Who wouldn't."

"Exactly."it took me a few second before realising his meaning.Good people will go and leave us first because of their 'beautiful' soul just like a flower.That's what he means.I displayed a sincere smile at him afterwards and he returned it.

It's been 20 minutes after my conversations with Charles ended.He was sitting in front of the fire made by the man himself.That man sat a little bit far away from both of us,trying to isolated himself.After thinking for a while,I think this is the right moment to talk with the man.

"Hey mister.!"I called him out while waving my left hand which surprised him a bit.He gave me a disgusted look but I just shrugged it off and continued,

"I want you to join our family.!!!!"

"Alice what the......"Charles tried to interupted but the man then approached the both of us with an angry expressions.

"Listen here you little shit,and listen well.First I don't give a damn about you or your family.Second,you guys think I'm stupid enough to join forces with you chums.I'm much better myself."

"Listen here Mister.I know that you're in pain.You lose your sibling or you called them as comrades.You felt lonely but don't worry we're here for you."He was so angry with me as he then grabbed my shoulders and shacking me roughly.

"Comrades and family are just dead weight.They're nothing more but a burden.They just slow you down and that's it.Nothing more,nothing less.Just a fucking burden."

"No you're wrong!!"I tried to protest.

"Ohhh yeah,then prove it you stupid girl.!"

"Family are the people who care about us,Who will stand with us,Who will support us,Who wil be there when no else does,and they will do what ever it takes even sacrifing themselves to protect their love one."

He then let go of me.His eyes were teary.His expressions change from angry to sad.

"Listen here Mister,you're welcome to join our family.Help us Mister.We still need to save the rest of our siblings back in Grace Field.Come with us and together we all will leave this blood lust world an onwards to the human world,together."I said while offering my hand to him.

THIRD PERSON POV

"Go,leave us....at least one of us had to live."

"Like hell,I'm not leaving you Kenny."

"Just go!Go back to the shelter and be safe...."

"No!I'm not leaving you guys.!!"

"Listen -------!,You have to leave us.Go,and continue with your life.Do not give up on life."

"Lucas,No!!!!!!!!"

The man remembered all of the pain full memories he had back when he's in Goldy Pond.He remembered it all after listening to Alice's words.

'They will do whatever it takes to protect their love one,even sacrificing themselves.'Those words still ringing inside his head.

"We need to leave.Goldy Pond,its not like you think it is."

"But we've got so far,we're not giving up now."Charles tried to protested but then the earth started shacking a little as then there was a huge net coming from below them.

"ALICE!!!!!!"Charles tried to saved her but he failed as she then was lifted up by that huge net.
