Wait who the heck did allow him to come in our office?

"Ragu?" I hear his voice again while my wife stares at me and becomes numb.

This was a second.

After which I see the P.T Usha version of my wife and she screams, " Aaru?" and runs outside.

Uuugghhh!! Why did he come here? Why! Like god! I know he has been a closest friend I have had but then this thing hurts, to know that he was always the best friend Ragu ever wished for while I came late, not literally.

I just hope, whatever I thought doesn't come truth. Like I would die if Ragini left me.

And then taking a deep breathe I decided to go out and meet my frienemy.

Okay coming out was the worst thing I could do, as soon as I reached outside where all cubicles were I saw Ragu and Mendak hugging.

Though it was short, but that scene was enough to form a burning sensation in the middle of my heart.

I wonder why was that.

Neha, Samir, Rohan and Tia had already circled around Mendak and Ragu.

"Ragini Mehta! I am so effing angry, when the heck did you get married?" Mendak urf lomdi commented seeing my wife's vermilion.

"Aaru..three months back." My wife smiles as she looks guilty of not informing her bestfriend earlier.

"To whom? Actually chuck that I thought we had something special," he winks at her while he fakes an imaginary knife piercing his heart. Ragini chuckles at his response.

Please actually give me a real knife.

None of then had noticed me there, and I was thankful.

Suddenly then the most intelligent person of the group- Tia asked," Ragu? Whose this?"

While Ragu turns towards him.

"Arrey Tia, he is my bachpan ka bestfriend!! He just came back from US after so many years." Ragini excitedly informs.

"Oh, hi." Tia followed by the other gang members greet lomdi as he returns back.

My fist tightens and then loses as I decided to intervene.

"Aaryan." I say his name as if I am speaking fire.

"Laksh? Oh god how could I forget this office is yours and -" before he could complete Ragu cuts him off by," That we will discuss later first let me introduce you to my friends."

"This is Tia, Samir bhai, Rohan, and Neha." She introduces everyone.

As I glance at her I could see happiness, excitement.

Was she so happy that she forgot that tomorrow is my birthday? Was actually Aaryan more special than I was.

"Laksh sir how do you know Aaryan?" Samir asks as he cuts off my chain of thoughts.

"Arrey bhai, you don't remember where I lived and so actually Aaru was his guest but then we became best friends." Ragu explains while mendak urf lomdi looks at her confused.

Ragini finally notices me and signals me to take mendak to the cabin so that she could join too.

"Ragu whom did you marry?"

"I was saying Aaryan you come with me to the cabin."

"Yes yes we will talk there." Ragu says as she holds mendak's hand and pulls him with her.

"What the heck? You aren't pranking me na?" Mendak asks when Ragu told that we were married.

We were in my cabin as him and I were seated on the couch while Ragu on the wheel favourite chair.

"Na," Ragu chuckles and refuses while I smile in affirmation.

"Oh god!! I swear anything can happen in world now," he jokes which for sure hurts my ego.

"Why?" I ask almost angrily.

"Arrey, did you ever see how you both fought? Baapre baap you were wild cats on loose. How we used to extinguish your fights only we know." He chuckles while Ragu and I share an eyelock.

Thats why we are special. Told you.

"But now its complete opposite." Ragini completes as she smiles widely.

Her this statement extinguished the burning sensation I was feeling until now but then.

I spoke too soon, "You know I thought if you would have been single, I could have tried my luck." Mendak comments as he effing again winks at her.

While Ragini hits her forehead.

"When are you going to change?"

"Never jaaneman."

Okay thats enough. She is only my jaan, jaaneman, bacha and everything not his.

Never his.

"Uggh, Aaru!! By the way whats the reason of your sudden arrival? Not that I ain't happy." Ragini asks curiously.

"Birthday party. My uncle's 75 birthday. So had to attend." He tells while my gaze shifts towards my wife who I thought could have taken the hint.

But nope.

Better luck next time, I guess.

Before the conversation took place, " I will go and meet Swaru and Sanskaar. Long time. And yes not going to spill your beans too soon," he says as he gets up.

"I will come with you," Ragu offers.

Before mendak could agree," Ragin you stay here, I have to talk about something." I tell her as she looks at me confused but still asks mendak to go without her which he agrees and leaves.

"Yep, kuch hua?" She asks concerned while I move towards her. Closer.

"Tomorrow, we are taking a leave and going out of Mumbai for two or three days."

"Tomorrow why? Is it a business tour?"

"Nope. Personal vacation."

"Arrey then Laksh best. We will ask Aaru, bhai and Swara to come with us. It would be too fun." She assumes.

"I means just two of us." I clear sternly.

"Laksh," she whispers.

"Hmm?"

"Can we please postpone it? We will go later na. Abhi Aaru is here we should not leave him. Plus tomorrow he will come to our house for lunch and stay till dinner so I also have to prepare his favourite dishes na with ma." She reasons as I feel hurt and anger, jealousy even more.

First she doesn't remember my birthdate and then she adds the fuel to fire saying she will cook mendak's favourites dishes on my birthday.

Is he more important than I am?
