Chapter Twenty-Six

Seokjin's Pov:

When he first told me he wanted to take me out on a date, I had no idea what type of outing he had in mind. The outfit was not of any type that I would have expected to see. Don't get me wrong—he had a sense of taste, and I liked the brand—but I simply couldn't get my head around what kind of date we were going on. On a day when I just want to relax or go shopping, I may throw on a sweatsuit, but I would never wear one on a date.

It is obvious that we have an event tonight, so maybe we are going out on speed dating instead, but even so. I suppose all I can do now is wait and see what happens. The color of the sweatsuit appealed to me, and I thought that the brand, Versace, was a good choice for me. It would seem that he was aware of this as well. The fit was just right; it wasn't too tight, nor was it too loose. It was almost as if he had taken my measurements.

It makes me wonder whether he purchased this on his own or with assistance from someone else. I really hope that he carried it through on his own. I need to know who shops for his clothing because if he has a personal shopper, I will be quite insulted by that fact.

That is of little relevance right now, so I won't spend much time thinking about it. It's something that I can discuss with him at another time.

At this point, I'm going to give my whole attention to getting dressed, and then I'll check in with my husband to find out where he intends to take me. Since this is our first real date, I hope everything goes well.

When Jungkook entered our bedroom, I put the final touches on my outfit, including attaching my jewelry and wedding ring. I found myself at a loss for words, which does not happen often.

"It looks great on you." He says this while leaning against the door frame and looking in my direction.

He was wearing a sweatsuit identical to the one I was wearing, only his was black, and mine was blue. That was an unexpected turn of events. The smile on my face could not be suppressed when it appeared.

"You got us matching outfits?"

"I did. I thought it would be fitting for our date."

That was really sexy of him. I love matching outfits. I was a complete sap for these kinds of stuff. How was it that he was aware of this?

"I love it, and you look hot in yours."

He approached me, dropped a kiss on my cheek, and said, "glad to hear it. You, too, are stunning. Come on, I don't want us to be late, so let's get going."

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise."

"Is it the movies?"

"I am not telling you."

"Amusement park?"

"I won't tell you, so stop asking."

"Is it-"

"Seokjin, no!"

Fine.

"Are we going to do some arts and crafts?"

When I glanced around the workshop we were in, I saw a lot of woodwork hanging on the wall. Because I had never been to a place like this before, I wasn't sure whether or not this was where we were going to have our date or whether or not he was picking up an order.

Jungkook looked at me and nodded. "They specialize in DIY projects. I realize this is probably not the kind of date you are used to, but given my failure to bring you a gift yesterday, I spotted this online last night and thought it might be fun for us to do. We may make wooden signs for our children and utilize them as part of their room's décor. I reserved the entire place, and the staff is ready to assist us as necessary. First, I suppose we must choose the kind of woodwork we want to create."

Interesting. I have never done anything even similar to this in the past. Not at all what I expected, but I can see why we wore this particular outfit.

"You like it? What are your thoughts?" He asked while still looking at me.

"Umm, it's different. I have never done anything like this before. I take it that you want us to make things for the kids and stuff for their room?"

"Anything, I mentioned that as a suggestion. If we knew their names, I believe we could build separate wooden signs for each and even place them over their cribs."

Oh, I like that.

"Let's then choose their names. I like this idea. I hope you have some expertise with this since I have none and will blame you if I am hurt."

He flashed me a grin, "I am skilled at everything I do, and I mean everything."

This man is not a saint. I have no idea how I could have been so naive as to believe that he was.

"That is too much information. Please let's focus on the names of our kids. I was thinking-"

"I should call Taehyung if we are going to decide the names."

What?

"Why?"

"As we confirm their names, I want to ensure that he is creating the right agreement to include each of our children-"

"Jungkook, no, no! Today is our first date, and I love every aspect of the careful planning and imaginative preparation you have put into this. I do not want us to speak about agreements, and I do not want you to talk to Taehyung. I don't want any part of it. None of it. What sort of an agreement are you adding them to if they haven't even been born yet? Are you crazy? Do you anticipate getting a signature from them as well?"

What was wrong with him? Did he eat, sleep, and breathe agreements? Fuck you calling Taehyung on our date for.

"I am sorry. Possibly now is not the best moment for this discussion, but I would like to schedule another time to discuss our wealth, how we would divide it among our children, and who will take over the company. I believe that the firstborn son should-"

I took hold of his hands and gave him a good shake, saying, "Jungkook, baby, this is a date. Not work. Our kids, our future, it's not your job. I understand how important each of the things you are thinking about is to you, but could I suggest we take things one step at a time? Let's put this matter off till another time, shall we? Let's talk about their names if you don't mind."

It was as if I brought him back to reality. He nodded his head, "sure; we can do that."

"Thank you." I was grateful he didn't attempt to turn it into a debate, so I moved in close and kissed him.

As he gave me his response to the kiss, his arms wrapped around me. I broke apart from the kiss as I became aware of the growing intensity of it. We were in public, and I was aware that he often misconstrued the nature of my affection for him. For me, a kiss was simply a kiss, but it meant something quite different for him.

Even though we got off to a rocky start on our date, the rest of it was amazing. The only difficult part was picking names for our kids; there was some back-and-forth over it, but in the end, we came to an agreement and were able to build some hanging signs for their nursery. In addition, we crafted inspirational décor items and affixed some of our favorite quotations to them. Jungkook wanted us to make a sign that said "Jeon's Residence." He placed a high priority on it, so it was done.

We crafted a sign for my closets, and I immediately fell head over heels in love with it. Jungkook was very skillful and had a natural talent for working with his hands. My creative side also emerged, and I had a great time on the date. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed doing it compared to my expectations.

During the activity, not only was I able to spend time with him, but I also gained a lot of information about him. I had no idea that he was a talented artist and that he had made money off of his sketches and paintings when he was in high school; that was information that was new to me.

I spoke a little bit about my experience of growing up as an only child and why I wasn't very concerned about the fact that we were going to have five children. I've had a secret desire to have a sibling my whole life. So knowing our butter beans were going to have each other was a joy for me. I wish it was six, so there was an even number, but I will never admit that out loud.

After the session, Jungkook worked with the staff to have everything we had created shipped to our house. Further, he informed them that the designs we had selected should not be duplicated by anyone else since they were unique to our family. As an outcome, the staff could not snap pictures of any of it and use it as a model for display purposes.

I had no problem with them being utilized, but I decided not to become involved since I felt I had accomplished enough for one day. The fact that they weren't required to sign any agreements is certainly a positive, but maybe they did. It wouldn't surprise me if they were provided with one before the occasion.

"Did you enjoy our date?" Jungkook took hold of my hand as we walked out of the building.

"I did, and I love our kids' names. Now that they have been determined, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"That's good; I like their names, however-"

"Jungkook, we agreed on it already." I pulled my hand from his and was ready to give him a strong glare, but the pain in my hand caused me to whimper.

"Are you okay?" He looked at me with concern as I rubbed my wrist.

"I don't know, I slipped earlier and-"

"You did what?"

"It wasn't that serious. I am fine. It's just my wrist that's giving me trouble right now. I don't believe it helped much to use my hands as much as I did before, but that's alright. It's not a big deal." I tried explaining as I continued massaging my wrist.

"Why didn't you tell me you fell? Do you not consider it necessary for me to know this? Why didn't you contact Jimin, a devoted physician who should have been immediately available and at our door? Throughout our whole date, you said nothing and casually utilized a hammer. Do you not prioritize your health? You were on a ladder the night before and are now performing cartwheels?"

"Cartwheels? What are you talking about? Jungkook, I am fine. It's not that serious."

"For you, it's not, but for me, it is. We are calling Jimin. You need an examination of your wrist."

Is he serious right now?

"Jungkook, seriously, please, I am fine. We have your event tonight. My wrist can wait."

"The damn event means nothing to me!"

Okay, that was hot.

Who was I to stop him at that point? I leaned into him and smiled, "okay, maybe we can have Jimin check it out and then go to the event after."

"Let's do that, but we won't be going if it's serious."

"I have an outfit-"

"Seokjin, I do not care."

I really hope it's nothing because I want to go.

****

"You have a grade 2 sprain, which necessitates immobilization. It will take at least six weeks and maybe up to twelve weeks to heal."

I am confused. The fall wasn't that painful, and my wrist wasn't even that hurt.

"Are you sure? It doesn't hurt that much-"

"Seokjin, he is a doctor. I think he is sure."

He wasn't sure whose sperm he stuffed inside of me.

I refrained from speaking out, although the want to do so was overwhelming; Jimin better be lucky that I like him.

"You will most likely start to feel the effects of it tomorrow. I believe that you are experiencing numbness at the moment, which is common after injuries such as these. The good news is that you came to see me before things worsened. If something similar happens in the future, please contact me as soon as possible."

"Yes, next time, call me immediately, then call Jimin. As your husband, this is something I should have known the moment it happened."

Wow, what were these two siblings?

"Sure, got it." You would think I broke my neck.

"I will be outside; I need to connect with my assistant and reschedule my upcoming travels until you are better. Call me if you need anything."

Wait, he was canceling trips?

"Jimin, are you sure it won't take more than twelve weeks to heal? I believe my ankle is hurting; please check it out for me. I had some trouble walking earlier."
