I'm lost in the lights♪

I'm just preparing my things while listening to the new soundtrack in Lover album. Lagpas na ng alas onse at mga alas dose pupunta rito si Jeydee dahil inaya siya ni dad na maglunch sa amin. I already told my dad about him who will come with me in the US, and he wants to meet Jeydee personally so he need to come here.

“Sistew, you need help?” Ethan said while trying to look at me into the small gap of my door.

“Come here, Ethan.” I said while smiling at him.

Umupo ako sa gilid ng kama at lumapit siya sa akin kaya naman binuhat ko siya at pinaupo sa hita. Ang bilis ng panahon at tatlong taon na siya. Next year he will attend a pre-school.

“Whewe awe you going?” He asked.

“Abroad, Ano bang gusto mong pasalubong paguwi ko?” tanong ko sa kanya.

“lots of caw! Sistew, caw!” with his cheerful voice.

“Sure! I'll buy you a toy, a car.” I said.

“Wed caw, sister, wed car!” He clap his hand.

Mahilig talaga siya sa kulay pula at mga sasakyan na laruan. Sinabihan ko na siya na bumaba na at tatapusin ko lang ang pag-aayos ko. He kiss me on the cheek and then he go downstairs to tell mom that I'll buy him a red car. 

I saw the invitation in the side table, I took that and stare on it. I heavily sigh, I remember how we promise on each other and our plan in the future, when I succeed as a licensure teacher and he's a pilot. I shake my head “Stop it, Celes.” Sabi ko sa sarili at kumuha na ako ng wardrobe para makaligo na agad.

I wear high waist skinny jean and a white crop top with long light brown blazer. After that I get my Oreldia cat eyes sunglasses on my table and luggage to downstairs.

Inilagay ko muna ang luggage ko sa sala bago pumunta ng kusina. Naabutan ko si mom na naghahanda na ng pagkain at si dad nakaupo hawak ang kanyang dyaryo.

“Oh, Celestine, nasaan na raw si Jeydee?” Mom's asked.

“Nag-text na siya sa akin, mom. Pupunta na raw po siya.” I said while sitting in the dining area.

*Doorbell*

“Si Jeydee na siguro iyan, pagbuksan mo na.” Mom's said.

Lumabas na ako ng bahay at nakita ko si Jeydee na nakatayo sa labas ng gate na may hawak ng luggage kaya naman nagmadali akong pagbuksan siya.

“Welcome to my home!” I said.

“Thank you.” He said and laugh a bit because of my energetic.

"Nasa loob na sila at hinihintay kang dumating, kaya tara na!"

“Good afternoon, Ma'am and Sir--uh Mr. President.” He shock first but still manage to respect and a bit bow.

“No need to be formal, Mr. Mercidente.” Dad's said and he smile to Jeydee.

“Tara na sa lamesa at pinaghanda ko kayo ng pagkain.” mom's invitation.

Nalaman kong magkakilala ang daddy namin ni Jeydee. Bakit kaya hindi ko siya nakilala? Maybe because it's not my usual do to be socialize. After we ate our lunch, my family took us to the airport and my mom told us to be careful.

“Sistew, don't fowget my wed caw” - Ethan's remind.

“Of course! I'll never forget that. Give me a goodbye kiss for your sister.” Lumuhod ako para mapantayan ko si Ethan at hinalikan niya ako sa pisingi.

After we check our things we said goodbye to them. As we get closer to the US, I feel more nervous now, what if Dylan and I face each other and what can I say? What will I do? I sigh for what am I thinking.

“Celes, are you alright?” Tanong ni Jeydee habang inaayos ang gamit namin at ako naman ay nakaupo na sa assign sit.

“Yes, I'm alright.”

Balak kong matulog buong biyahe dahil hindi ako nakatulog ng maayos kaiisip kung ano nga bang mangyayari pagdating ko roon.  I almost cry when I'm thinking Dylan and shake my head.

“Calm, Celes.” I said without thinking.

“Celestine?” Jeydee's said while he's confuse on me.

“Don't mind me, matutulog lang muna ako.” I get my IPods and earphone to help me relaxed while sleeping.

I wear my sunglasses when we arrived on John F Kennedy International Airport and after that we get some cab near us.

“To the New Yorker a Wyndham hotel.” Jeydee's said to the driver.

“So, Celestine, where do you want to go after we came to the hotel?” He asked.

“Hmm, maybe I'll meet my friend Ryleigh” I said.

“You look excited, huh?”

Ngumiti na lamang ako sa kanya. Nasabihan ko na si Ryleigh na nakarating na ako at gusto niya na agad ako makita. Magkikita kami ngayong gabi sa Tick Tock Diner NY dahil yun ang malapit sa hotel na tinutuluyan namin ni Jeydee.

“Are you sure you can go alone?” Jeydee's said. 

Our suite was just next to each other, he came here in my suite for a while. I wear black ruffle short sleeve chiffon midi dress and I think isn't good for the evening but I like to wear this.

“Call me back then.” He said and I nod to him.

He took me outside and waited for me to get in the car.

“Welcome to Tick Tock Dine!” He bow.

Ngumiti lamang ako at agad pumasok para hanapin si Ryleigh. Nakita ko naman siya agad sa 'di kalayuan kaya lumapit naman na ako.

“Jadeeee! I miss youuu! How's your travel?” she stood up and hug me.

“It's fine.” That only came out of my mouth because I didn't know what to do.

But I suddenly stiffened in my stance even though I could feel Ryleigh's hug. I could see in my eyes the man walking towards our place.

“By the way, my fiancé also come here with me, he also wanna meet you but he went to the comfort room.” Ryleigh's said.

“Babe?” the man's said.

“Oh! You're here.” She immediately approached the man and he put his arm around her.

“Babe, she's Jade, my friend and Jade this Steve, my fiancé.”  Ryleigh's  introduce.

He held out his hand in front of me but I only stare on it. I am starting to trembling and crying without noticing it.

“Jade? Are you alright? What happen?” Ryleigh with his worried face and come near me.

“D-Dylan” I said and look at him straight.

Hindi ko mapigilang tumitig sa mukha niya at kita ko ang gulat na rumihistro sa kanyang mukha. Napabuntong-hininga na lamang siya sa narinig.

“Maupo na muna tayo.” the man's said that I called Dylan

“Babe? What is this? Is she?” Tanong ni Ryleigh na hindi ko maintindihan.

Kita ko sa kanya ang kaba at takot sa mukha niya na para bang may alam ito sa nangyayari. Umupo na lamang din ako dahil pakiramdam ko mawawalan ako ng balanse ano mang oras. Nasa harap ko si Dylan at kagabi ko ang mapapangasawa niya sinong hindi makakaramdam ng ganito? Gusto ko magalit at ilabas ang mga nasa isip ko..

“I'm Dylan Steven Fuenterico and I think you met is my brother Dylan Stevenson. We're identical twin so that's why we look a like.” He said.

“W-What?” May kambal siya? Dylan have a twin? He never mentioning it to me and the source I've got is not true? They're twin! I can't easily register it to my mind. Then where is Dylan? Is he really gone?

“Our parent decided to separate us because I have an illness so I stay here with my grandparent in New York while Stevenson with our parent lived in the Philippines. We can't contact each other that's why and when I saw you now and your reaction, you have connection to him. I understand.”

“T-then where's Dylan?” I want to clear everything.

He paused and straightforward.

“I'm sorry, H-he died” Steven said.

“Babe! Why don't you---” Ryleigh's said.

Steven shake his head to Ryleigh and look at me. Even though I know the truth, still I can't help myself to cry. So, he really died and i need to move on and look forward? It really hurts, the pain inside makes me weak and like I would fall any minute. All the delusional I've got! I want to be alone. Tumayo ako at agad na umalis sa lugar na iyon, kahit rinig ko ang pagtawag nila sa akin ay hindi na ako lumingon pa dahil sa nais kong makaalis roon.

Medyo nakalayo na ako ng napagdesisyunan kong bumalik na lamang sa suite ko kaya naisipan kong tawagan agad si Jeydee para sunduin ako.

“J-Jeydee can you f-fetch me h-hear? Near on the Tick T-tock Dine?” I started to trembling again.

“Are you crying?? Wait I'm on my way now. Stay there.” He said and hang up the call.
