It was the end of the day. I decide to do something besides going home. I don't want to deal with my parents. I had to much stuff on my mine to deal with them and homework.  I walked into an alley and change into my villain clothes. I walked to see if I can do anything to get his attention. Maybe his girlfriend. Nobody knows who he is but I got a clue. I looked up at the blue sky wondering what it would be like to fly.

"It must be amazing," I said aloud. I transport myself to the highest building in the city. I laid on my back and close my eyes rested for awhile, thinking about what happened to day at school. I can't help but wonder why Jayden would help me and what it would feel like to fly. I heard someone landed on the roof of the building that I was on.

"What are you doing Dark Shadow?" Lightning Prince asked, walking closer.

"Thinking," I said, closing my eyes.

"Not planning anything evil today?" He asked.

"No. I had rough day," I said, letting the sun warm me.

"What to talk about it?" Lightning Prince asked, taking a seat next to me.

"Not really," I said, looking over at him, "So, what brings you here?" I asked him

"I saw you laying up here. I thought you might be plotting something or looking for a target," He said, looking at the skyline.

"Nah. I could do that at anytime but just not today or maybe never. Who knows?" I whispered, looking at the people below.

"Why?" Lightning Prince asked.

"I don't know," I said, putting a sad smile on.  I looked up at the sky, "I wonder what it would feel like to be free,"

"What do you mean?" he asked, sounding confused.

"To be like a bird and fly away from this horrible place," I said, looking down at my feet, "Well thank you for listening but I better get going," I said, disappearing.

I was heading home. I decided to do my homework later. I want to see this villain called, "Dark Shadow" I don't know why but I think I know who he is. I suited up and took to the air. I looked around to see if I can find him. I saw him lay on the roof of a business building the highest on in the city. He seems off.  I landed on the roof. He notice that I'm here.

"What are you doing Dark Shadow?"I asked, walking closer.

"Thinking," Dark Shadow said, closing his eyes.  What is thinking about?

"Not planning anything evil today?" I asked, changing the subject.

"No. I had rough day," he said, spread out in the sun.

"What to talk about it?" I asked, taking a seat next to him.

"Not really," Dark Shadow said, looking over at me, "So, what brings you here?" He asked me.

"I saw you laying up here. I thought you might be plotting something or looking for a target," I said, looking at the skyline.

"Nah. I could do that at anytime but just not today or maybe never. Who knows?" Dark Shadow whispered, looking at the people below.

"Why?" I asked. I notice he seems to be down, like depress or something.

"I don't know," Dark Shadow said, putting a sad smile on.  He looked up at the sky, "I wonder what it would feel like to be free,"

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused about the whole situation.

"To be like a bird and fly away from this horrible place," He said, looking down at his feet, "Well thank you for listening but I better get going," Dark Shadow said, disappearing into the shadow. I was confuse. What was going on with him? Is he planning to end his life?  I hope not.

~Time skip

I just finished patrol when I came across a park. It was the same park that I met Carter and Carter is sitting there but something is wrong with him. I decide to fly towards.  I landed and walked over to him.

"Is everything alright?" I asked Carter.

"Huh? Oh yeah, everything is fine," He said, looking at me, "What are you doing here, Lightning Prince?" Carter asked.

"I saw you sitting here alone. So, I was just make sure you are alright," I said, smiling at him. I notice there a hand mark on his neck. We just sat there in silence, "Are you sure you are okay?' I asked him. I notice with was fidgeting.

"Okay. You're right. I'm not okay. My dad hates me, my mom , well...she want's  me dead, and- and school people avoid or want me dead.  I don't know how-how much longer I can take this," Carter cried. I never knew that someone could be suffering like this. If he is Dark Shadow, this could be his reason to be a villain.

"So, who did this to you?" I asked, pointed at his neck.

"My-my dad," Carter whispered, whipping away some tears. I felt anger towards the man. I pulled Carter into a hug.  He flinched at first but eased into it.

"I'm sorry," I whispered into his ear. He pulled back.

"For what? You haven't done anything to hurt me," Carter said.

"Your right. Oh I forgot to asked for your name," I said, face palmed.

"It's okay. I'm Carter McNight," He said.

"Okay, Carter," I smiled. I can't believe my luck. I talked to my villain and talked to someone as Lightning Prince.  Carter rolled up his sweater sleeves. I notice cut marks on both of his forearms, "Carter, are you cutting?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I don't really do it much now," He sighed.

"Why would you do it?" I asked getting concern.

"My parents found something out about me. They hate me for it. So, they beat me  for it. I was about six or seven when I started. It was the only thing to tell me I that this was real. I hated them for it. I was nothing to them or to no one. I have no friends growing up or now. I have no one to care for me. So, what was the point of living right. I started to get voices in my head to tell to end it but I kept avoiding them. I'm not a person people would get close to, you know," Carter said, looking at me with tears running down his face. I can tell he was broken on the inside but still a good person.

"I think you are a strong, caring person, Carter," I said, softly. I heard him laugh. This  was a heartbreaking laugh.

"Well, you are the only one besides, a classmate of mine who thinks so," Carter smile.

"I'm serious though," I said, trying to get him to believe me.

"Whatever you say, hero," He said. I heard a beeping noise coming from my watch.

"I got to go," I said.

"Well, go and thank you for listening," Carter said, leaving. I got hit with a Deja vu. Dark Shadow and Carter said the same thing in the same way. Are they the same person? Doubt it. I took off to the place where the crime is happening. It was Mr. Big. God this might take an hour to get him to prison.

"Lightning Prince, What took you so long?" He asked.

"That none of your business," I shouted, throwing lighting at him. Mr. Big fell back. That was easy. Is something wrong with the villains?

"You thought it was easy well you're wrong," Mr. Big said, punching me in the stomach.  I threw more lighting at him. I blocked his punches. I felt something is off. I took a quick glance around and saw Dark Shadow sulking in the corner. 

"I had enough of this," I said, releasing a high voltage of electricity. Mr. Big was out but Dark Shadow came out of the shadow unharmed.

"I didn't want to be here," Dark Shadow told me.

"Then why were you here?" I asked him.

"He said he wanted back up. I told him no but he dragged me along anyways," he told me, looking at Mr. Big.

"Alright. Are you okay?" I asked him.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I'm YOUR villain," Dark Shadow said, putting more infancies on your.

"Okay. Well, I let you be just don't do anything criminal like," I smiled and head home for the night.
