INAYAT'S POV :
I'm lying on my bed, the silence of the room pressing down on me. Rhea left a few hours ago, leaving me here alone, drowning in regret and vulnerability.
"Maybe I overdid it by telling him to die"
"but it was a reflex. I didn't mean to say it."
"I shouldn't have said it. I can't tell anyone to go and die. Are you fucking crazy, Inayat?" I murmured to myself.
"But it was a reflex; he wasn't letting me go." I replied to myself.
"So you'll tell him to die?"
"I fucking told you, IT WAS A REFLEX AND I DIDN'T MEAN IT!!!"
Aghhhh, stop it. I'm going crazy, arguing with myself. I've really lost it. The weight of my words hangs in the air, suffocating me.
Tears prick at the corners of my eyes, but I can't let them fall. I feel the sting of my own harshness, and the guilt twists inside me, gnawing at my conscience.
Why did I let my anger get the best of me? Why did I let those words slip out? The questions swirl in my mind, each one a dagger to my already wounded soul.
I'm trapped in this endless loop of self-reproach, and it feels like there's no escape.
I think I should apologize.
But he was in the wrong. He hurt me the most. He slapped me. He disrespected me.
"But he's constantly apologizing, and you have humiliated him a lot since then," my brain whispered.
"So what? He can't slap me. He disrespected me. I won't apologize."
"Yes, I will not." I exhaled a deep breath, as if I had been holding it forever.
Then again, Rhea's words echoed in my head, "YOU'RE DRAGGING VEDANT TOO, YOU'RE DOING WRONG TO HIM TOO."
How? How am I doing wrong to him or anyone?
I've made it clear that I don't want to live with Shivansh. I don't want Shivansh. He's forcing me, not letting me go. How is that my fault?
And about Vedant, I'm willing to start a relationship with him. He's a good man, and if I start being with him, eventually, I'll develop feelings for him. Yes, of course. So there's no mistake here. I am not wrong anywhere.

AUTHOR'S POV :
The next day, Shivansh called Aryan to check on the security arrangements. Aryan reassured him, "There's tight security. Vikrant can't harm anyone. Everyone will be safe.
As for Inayat's so-called father, he's under my watch. Don't worry, I'll make him confess everything," he said, casting a sinister smile at the seemingly unconscious man.
"Thank you so much, Aryan," Shivansh said, breathing a sigh of relief.
Aryan, initially mocking, replied, "Are you Shivansh? The Shivansh I knew would never have shown gratitude towards me."
But after a brief silence, he sensed something was amiss. "Shivansh, kya hua hai?" (What happened Shivansh?)
Aryan asked, his concern evident. This wasn't the Shivansh he knew.
"Nothing," Shivansh murmured quietly, sighing again, the weight of his troubles evident in his voice.
Trying to shift Shivansh's focus, Aryan asked, "So, about Trisha... You did a great job sending her to Vikrant to gather the information we needed."
However, neither of them noticed that someone else was overhearing their conversation—Inayat's father. He wasn't unconscious but merely pretending to be.
"Yes, it was necessary. Without it, we would never have been here, so aware of his plans," Shivansh replied, his voice carrying a blend of determination and urgency.
They continued their conversation, their voices low and intense, completely unaware that Inayat's father, abducted and pretending to be unconscious, was listening to every word.
As he absorbed their every word, desperately trying to piece together their plans.

VIKRANT'S POV :
I entered the basement to find Inayat's father tied up and unconscious, his head hanging limply to one side.
Seeing him in such a vulnerable state broke my heart. I ordered Aryan to have him released, and Aryan, with a disinterested gaze, signaled one of his men to comply.
Without hesitation, the man threw a bucket of cold water over Inayat's father. He jolted awake, his eyes snapping open as he took in the scene around him.
When his gaze finally landed on me, it was filled with recognition and a glimmer of hope.
"Ahh... you're here," he croaked, his voice thick with pain and desperation.
"I was waiting for you. Help me, Vikrant. Look at what they've done to me."
A surge of anger and sorrow welled up inside me. How could Inayat allow his father to be treated this way?
The sight of him so broken and helpless made me want to scream at everyone for this cruel injustice.
Aryan stormed up to the old man, his stride heavy with anger. He loomed over him, voice sharp and commanding. "Stop pretending. Just tell the fucking truth."
The old man remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor, a picture of defeat.
Shivansh moved toward the old man, but I stepped in front of him, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and concern. "Enough of your tortures. How can you do this to an old man?"
Inayat suddenly appeared in front of Shivansh, her face flushed with frustration. "You don't understand. You have no idea what this man has done.
Just be patient; you'll find out everything soon enough. So, for now, keep your mouth shut."
Trisha gently took my hand, a silent plea for calm. Understanding her unspoken message, I fell silent, the weight of the situation settling heavily in my chest.
"So you have nothing to say?" Aryan's voice cut through the silence, filled with frustration, but Inayat's father remained stoically quiet.
"Fine, bring the laptop over," he commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.
One of his men brought the laptop and placed it on the side table. Then Aryan instructed all his men to leave from there. With a trembling heart, I watched as the footage began to play.
My breath caught in my throat as the truth unfolded before me.
I was paralyzed, my mind struggling to process what I was seeing. The images on the screen were a brutal revelation—everything I had believed in, everything I had fought for, had been a lie.
I had been so convinced of my own righteousness, so certain that I was defending the right cause, only to discover that I had been backing a deceiver.
My accusations against the innocent woman were baseless, and now the weight of my error crashed down on me like a tidal wave.
The realization was crushing. Every word I had said, every action I had taken in defense of that liar, echoed in my mind with a suffocating sense of guilt.
I felt a deep, visceral shame, the kind that made me want to disappear, to undo the damage I had caused.
My heart ached with the knowledge that I had been wrong, that my actions had hurt someone who did not deserve it.
I was overwhelmed with remorse, unable to find solace in any words or actions. The gravity of my mistake felt like a heavy chain around my soul.
I wanted to turn back time, to reverse everything I had done, but the truth was inescapable. I had committed a grave injustice, and the burden of that reality was almost too much to bear.
"Don't believe them, Vikrant! They're fucking lying, trapping us. This is all part of their twisted plan! And this little bitch is doing it" he pointed at Inayat, His voice was laced with venom.
Shivansh's fist collided with his face with a brutal thud. His nose shattered, blood gushing down his face. Aryan struggled to hold Shivansh back, but his rage was palpable; he looked ready to kill.
I stumbled forward, my heart pounding with disbelief and betrayal. "Why? Why the fuck did you do this? How could you lie to me? I committed a crime, all because I thought you were the victim!"
My voice was raw as I grabbed his collar, shaking him. "Tell me, you piece of shit, whyyy did you do it? You killed her mother?????"
He let out a deranged laugh, his eyes cold and unfeeling. His sinister laughter echoed through the room, a sound that made my blood run cold.
He stopped, a cruel smirk on his face, eyes gleaming with malice.
"Yessssss, yessss, haaaaa, everything was a fucking lie. Yesss, I killed her mother. What the fuck could I do? She wouldn't give me her property." His voice dripped with sadistic pleasure.
"I had no choice, so yes, I fucking killed her. I even wanted to kill this one too," he gestured towards Inayat with a sneer, "but her luck was strong. Shivansh protected her."
The man who had once played the victim was now revealed as a monster. He had spun a web of deceit, claiming Inayat was taking her mother's property and locking him out.
But the truth was far darker: a heartless bastard driven by greed.
"You've betrayed me! I punished an innocent woman, she hasn't done anything wrong, and I was punishing her because of you!"
I shouted, my voice cracking with a mixture of anger and despair. "I laid down my guard for you! How could you do this?"
He scoffed, his face twisting with a cruel smile. "Innocent? Who? This girl?" He pointed at Inayat and laughed, the sound grating against my ears.
"She is not innocent, Vikrant. They have fooled you too. They have betrayed you as well." His laughter echoed, mocking me, tearing at my already frayed nerves.
Confusion washed over me, my mind racing. "Oh, shut up, you bastard!" I snapped, desperation creeping into my voice.
He pointed at Trisha, who stood beside me, her face a mask of fear and shock. "This girl, who came here with you... What's her name again?"
He paused, feigning forgetfulness. "Ah, yes. Trisha. Trisha is sent by them, to know your plans, and to trap you. You're a fool, Vikrant."
His words hit me like a punch to the gut. My heart pounded in my chest as I looked at Trisha. Then I remembered—she couldn't do that to me. This man was lying again. I wouldn't trust him.
"Stop lying! Stop fucking lying, you fucker!" I shouted, my voice shaking with rage.
I turned back and moved towards Trisha, holding both her hands in mine. I tried to assure her with a fragile smile. "I know, Trisha. You wouldn't do that to me. I know he's lying, so don't worry. I trust and believe you."
Her gaze was fixed to the ground, and then a tear slipped from her eye and dropped onto our hands. That single tear shattered my trust and broke my heart.
The only woman I trusted with all my heart, the woman I confided in, the woman I thought was helping me—had betrayed me.
Trisha was sent by Shivansh to spy on me, and I had trusted her blindly. The betrayal cut deeper than I could have imagined. How had I been so blind?
The weight of my mistakes bore down on me, and a crushing sense of hopelessness enveloped me. My world crumbled around me, each breath feeling heavier than the last.
"I... I told you everything, Trisha," I whispered, my voice barely audible. "I trusted you with my secrets, my fears, my plans. How could you betray me like this?"
Her silence was deafening, her eyes still avoiding mine. The room felt colder, the air thick with tension and heartbreak. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, as if a part of me had been ripped away.
"Why, Trisha?" I pleaded, tears welling up in my eyes. "Why did you do this?"
She finally looked up, her eyes filled with sorrow and regret. "I'm sorry, Vikrant," she murmured. "I never wanted to hurt you. I... I had no choice."
Her words, though filled with remorse, offered no solace. The damage was done.
My trust was shattered, and the woman I had once believed in had become a symbol of my deepest betrayal. I won't leave them.
I will kill all of them.
