ARYAN'S POV:

I was about to go to bed when my phone rang. I cursed the caller since I was really sleepy but still got up and grabbed my phone from the side table to see that it was Shivansh.

I quickly picked it up. What he said next gave me mixed feelings. I was both happy and angry. I was happy because he was going out for two days, but this idiot had also given me the duty of taking care of Aahana, Advik, and Adwit.

This wasn't necessary. If my elder brother-in-law is going out, it's of course my duty to take care of my two younger brothers-in-law, and I need to take special care of Aahana.

I laughed a bit at Shivansh thinking about this. But then a thought crossed my mind about what will happen when Shivansh finds out about us.

He will have to accept us, that's not a concern, but I'm worried about how many bones I will break and how many will remain intact by the time of my wedding. But anyway, we'll see.

Now, I have also made Inayat my sister. If by any chance he tries to stop me from marrying his sister, I will make sure he can't marry mine.

I will clearly state that it's a give-and-take condition. Anyway, coming out of my overthinking session, I called my personal assistant to inform him to keep the warehouse ready for tomorrow to welcome a very special guest who needs very good hospitality.

He didn't need to tell me who he was bringing because as soon as he said he was going to Mumbai, I knew he was definitely bringing that bastard father of Inayat.

This made me furious. I had already planned what I was going to do with him. I was thinking about this when my phone rang again. I sighed and checked my phone to see who was disturbing me now.

But this time, I became super happy to see the call, a video call from, of course, my beautiful Aahana. I straightened up and picked up the call only to see her very excited and happy face. It's almost midnight but she still looks so, so, so beautiful.

As soon as I received the call she then shouted, "Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy," intentionally dragging the word because she knows it irritates me.

I made an irritated face and said, "Come on, call me anything but that. I am 27 for God's sake. Do I look like a baby to you?"

She pouted and said, "But you also call me this."

I replied, "Yes, because you are a baby."

She imitated me and said, "For God's sake Aryan, I am 21 years old," And like this it continued I dont know for how many hours.

We joked and talked with each other for the rest of the night. Finally, it was 2 AM and we decided to sleep.

Basically, she had slept an hour ago, and I was looking at her sleeping face and feeling happy. But my stupid phone's battery decided to die right then, so it switched off, forcing me to finally put it down.

I lay on my bed, and sleep quickly took over me with a big smile on my face.

The next morning, I was on my way to the office when my phone rang again. It was my excited baby.

As soon as I picked up the call, she called my name lovingly, "Aryaaaaaaaannnnnn," stretching it out knowingly.

Whenever she does this, it definitely means she wants something from me. So, I stretched her name in the same way and asked strictly, "What do you need now?"

To which she replied, "Why do you always think I need something?"

To which I replied, "I know you for years, Aahana. Now come on, tell me what you want."

She sighed and said, "Fine. I wanted your permission."

I asked, "For what?"

She replied, "I want to go clubbing tonight. Ever since I got back, I haven't been able to go anywhere. Finally, bhai isn't here, and Inu di and Advay bhai will be home late, so I want to go."

I said, "Okay, fine. Get ready at 9 PM. I will pick you up and then we can go to a club."

She retorted, "No, I want to go alone."

I instantly denied this. I can't allow her to go alone. She is very innocent and gets scared easily. It's not safe for her.

Even in the US, she had four bodyguards with her everywhere. Letting her go alone is out of the question. She tried to convince me, but I stuck to my decision.

I offered that if she wants to go, she can go with me, but she didn't accept it. She was adamant about going alone, which I couldn't allow.

Finally, she became angry, huffed, and said, "Fine," and disconnected the call.

By this time, I had already reached the office. I had a very important meeting today, so I decided to visit her directly in the evening and take her somewhere to make her happy.

Finally, my work was over, and I stretched my body to relax. I leaned back in my chair and looked at the clock, seeing that it was already 8 PM. I quickly got up and went to my car to head to Shivansh's house and meet Aahana.

Today was filled with meetings. The day was so busy that I couldn't even have my lunch. Usually, I forget about lunch until Aahana calls to remind me.

But today, since she didn't call, I didn't eat. Normally, she calls me 5 to 6 times during office hours. It's not like I'm complaining. Why would I complain? It makes me feel special.

But today, I didn't get even one call from her. Seems like madam is quite upset today. I'll have to put in a lot of effort to make it up to her. But then again, there's a certain joy in winning over someone who's upset.

I was thinking this when I came across an ice cream shop. I stopped my car and went inside, buying a bucket of cookies and cake flavored ice cream.

I bought a bucket because I knew she was very angry today, so she would probably eat the whole bucket alone to calm down—of course, after eating my head with her baseless arguments.

But anyways, it's always better to accept everything they say rather than arguing if you want to live a peaceful life.

Chuckling at my thoughts, I reached outside their mansion and called Aahana, but she didn't answer. I tried calling her again, but she still didn't pick up.

I sighed, got out of the car, and entered their house. There, Advik and Adwit were watching some series in the hall.

I went near them and said, "So, both of you are enjoying your alone time very well." They just nodded, completely focused on the series.

I then asked them about Aahana, to which they replied, "She has gone to one of her friend's house." I nodded and asked if they needed anything, to which they both denied.

So, I walked out, thinking about which friend Aahana could have gone to, because as far as I know, she doesn't have any close friends whose house she would stay at for so long.

I tried calling her again, but she still didn't pick up. Now, I was really frustrated. Why is she so angry? Here I am, worried sick, but she won't even answer my calls.

But then suddenly, I got a call, and it was Aahana's. I quickly accepted the call and spoke, "Aahana, where are you?"

But instead of answering me, she started crying and calling my name.

I panicked and asked her very softly, "Bacha, what happened? Where are you?" She cried again, and this time I could hear some door banging sounds from the call.

Then I heard Aahana saying while sobbing, "Moonlit club... people outside... I am in the washroom... please come quickly."

Fuck! I told her not to go, but this girl... It will take me 15 minutes to reach there even if I drive at full speed. I banged the steering wheel and ran the car at full speed.

The call was still on, so I said, "Aahana, don't worry. I will be there in 5 minutes. Just keep the door locked and don't cut the call."

But before I could complete, the call was cut off. I dialed again, but this time it was switched off. My heartbeat accelerated.

I was just praying to God that she manages to hold on until I get there, and then I would handle everything else. On my way, I called my bodyguards and asked them to reach there as soon as possible.

I reached the club and saw a long line near the entry gate. There was no time to stand in the queue, introduce myself, or talk to the guard.

So, I took out some 2000 rupee bundles from the car and ran towards the entrance. As soon as I reached there, the guards tried to stop me, but I just placed the money bundles in their hands. Seeing the money, they let me in immediately.

When I entered the club, my heart pounded as I scanned the crowd for any sign of Aahana. Panic surged through me, and I ran towards the washroom, hoping she might be there.

The moment I pushed open the door, the cold, empty room greeted me, and beads of cold sweat began to form on my forehead. The silence was deafening, amplifying my growing anxiety. I saw her phone lying there.

I picked it up and desperate for answers, I stormed towards the manager's office. He looked up, startled, as I demanded to see the CCTV footage.

His initial refusal only fueled my desperation, but after I introduced myself and made a few pointed threats, his resolve crumbled. Reluctantly, he led me to the security room.

As the footage began to play, my eyes were glued to the screen. There, I saw Aahana, surrounded by a group of boys. My blood boiled as I watched them trying to touch her.

Aahana, brave as ever, slapped one of them across the face. A surge of pride momentarily broke through my anger.

But then the situation turned darker; one of the boys grabbed her wrist, twisting it painfully as he tried to pull her closer.

Despite her fear, Aahana managed to kick him in the groin and ran towards the washroom. The momentary relief I felt was crushed as they caught her and dragged her towards the elevator.

My blood ran cold, and my grip on the manager's chair tightened until my knuckles turned white. The CCTV showed them taking her to the fourth floor, room number 402.

There was no time to waste. Fueled by rage and fear, I dashed towards the elevators, my mind racing with thoughts of what could be happening to her.

When the elevator doors finally opened on the fourth floor, I sprinted down the hallway, each step echoing my growing fury. Without hesitation, I broke down the door of room 402.

The scene that greeted me made my blood boil. One of the boys had pinned Aahana against the wall, his hands roaming where they had no right to be.

Seeing red, I pulled out my gun and shot him in the leg. He screamed and fell to the floor, clutching his wound.

My bodyguards, who had followed me, swiftly took control of the situation, handling the other boys while I rushed to Aahana.

She collapsed into my arms, her body wracked with sobs. She was terrified, shaking like a leaf, but thankfully uninjured.

I held her tightly, whispering reassurances in her ear as my heart pounded with a mix of relief and residual anger.

I ordered my bodyguards to take the assailants to my basement. They needed to know the consequences of touching what was mine.

I would deal with them personally, making sure they understood the severity of their actions. With my heart still racing, I wrapped my coat around Aahana and carried her to the car.

As I opened the door for her, my anger flared again. "Get in the car, Aahana," I said coldly. She obeyed without a word, her eyes downcast.

In the driver's seat, I waited for her to fasten her seatbelt, but she just stared blankly ahead.

"Fasten your seatbelt," I repeated sternly. She complied, and we drove off in a heavy silence. The tension in the car was palpable, and I struggled to keep my emotions in check.

After a while, she turned to me, her voice trembling. "Aryan, I know you're angry with me. It was my mistake, and I promise I won't repeat it. I'm sorry."

She made a puppy face, hoping to melt my resolve, but I couldn't soften. Not this time. She had been too careless.

I remained silent, focusing on the road, while her tears fell quietly beside me. I cursed myself for making her cry but couldn't bring myself to speak.

Eventually, I pulled over to the side of the road and turned to her, pulling her into a tight embrace. I needed to feel her close, to reassure myself that she was safe.

When she called my name softly, I pulled back, cupping her face and wiping her tears.

Our breaths mingled as I finally spoke. "You scared the hell out of me. I told you not to go alone. Why can't you just listen to me?"

She cupped my face in return, her eyes full of remorse. "I'm really, really sorry, baby."

We stayed like that for a while, finding solace in each other's presence.

I kissed her forehead and leaned my forehead on hers again assuring myself that she is safe. Everything is fine. We stayed like that for a while, finding solace in each other's presence.

I started driving again, deciding to take her to an ice cream parlor to lift her spirits as the one I had bought for her had already melted.

After two buckets of ice cream, she seemed more like herself. Her eyes sparkled with a hint of the old Aahana, and the color returned to her cheeks.

We talked about lighter things, and I saw her relax, the tension of the night slowly ebbing away.

We headed back to the mansion, and by the time we arrived, Aahana had fallen asleep in the car. I carefully carried her into the house and up to her room.

As I laid her on the bed and tried to leave, she held onto my hand, murmuring in her sleep, "Aryan, please don't leave me. Stay by my side."

Not wanting to upset her further, I locked the door and then climbed into bed with her. She snuggled into my chest, her leg draped over mine. I kissed her forehead, holding her tight.

As I listened to her steady breathing, I finally felt the tension leave my body. She was safe in my arms, and that was all that mattered.

With a sense of peace, I finally fell asleep, grateful for the quiet moment of togetherness after such a harrowing night.

SHIVANSH'S POV:

Today, while coming to the office, I somehow managed to bring Rhea and Inayat in my car by saying that we needed to discuss something very important related to business.

Initially, Inayat was disagreeing, but with Rhea and Advay by my side, I knew she had to agree.

Once we were all together, I told them about the cameras in the house and informed them that from now on, we would discuss sensitive matters either on our way to the office, at the office, or anywhere outside.

I also instructed them not to text anything related to this. They were completely shocked upon hearing this but eventually agreed to my plan.

Then, I shared with them Vikrant's real location and other related details. Lastly, I told them about bringing Inayat's father here.

Inayat was silent for a while but finally spoke up, saying she wanted to meet her father. I denied her, saying she didn't need to go in front of him; we would handle everything.

However, she was adamant about meeting him because she needed some answers from him. Finally, we had to agree to this.

We decided to go to the office first because there were some important files to be signed. As soon as that was done, we would head to Aryan's basement to meet her so-called father.

We went through the papers and signed them. It took us three hours, and now we were ready to go and meet her father.

The four of us went down and stood near our car. I sighed, and Rhea tried one last time to make Inayat understand that she shouldn't go, warning that she might turn weak if she faced him.

But Inayat, being her stubborn self, didn't budge from her decision.

At that moment, I noticed Vedant approaching us with a smile. I rolled my eyes. What does this idiot want now?

Vedant reached us, his grin widening. "Hey, guys! What's up?"

I couldn't hide my irritation. "Vedant, we're in the middle of something important. Can you save whatever it is for later?"

He raised his hands in mock surrender. "Whoa, calm down, Shivansh. I just wanted to check if everything was okay. You all look so tense."

Rhea, always the peacemaker, tried to smooth things over. "Vedant, we're about to leave for something urgent. Can we talk later?"

Vedant's expression turned serious. "Is everything alright? Do you need any help?"

I clenched my jaw, trying to keep my cool. "We have it under control, Vedant. Thanks for the offer."

Inayat then said sternly, "Vedant, can you please leave? We have something very urgent to handle."

Hearing her, the small smile on his face vanished. He looked at Inayat for a few seconds, clearly hurt, and then left, looking very disappointed. I know I will sound sadist but I felt happy.

We turned back to the task at hand. Inayat took a deep breath, her resolve strengthening as she prepared herself to face her father.

We all climbed into the car, and the drive to Aryan's basement was filled with a heavy silence, each of us lost in our thoughts.

VEDANT'S POV:

I was in my cabin when Inayat entered. She didn't knock, and I didn't mind. Why would I? She could come in anytime.

I got up from my chair and walked towards her, greeting her with a "Hiii." She smiled and greeted me back.

I pulled a chair and motioned for her to sit, which she did happily. Then I brought another chair in front of her and took my seat. We didn't talk; we just looked at each other.

Finally, she decided to break the silence. "Vedant, I want to talk to you about something."

Lost in her eyes, her face, and her voice, I just nodded at her. Realizing my gaze, she blushed and cleared her throat before speaking again.

"Vedant, I said before that I needed some time, but..."

My heart started thumping loudly, anticipating what she might say next. "But now I don't need time because I've realized that I like you a lot, Vedant. A lot."

As soon as she said this, I felt like I was on cloud nine. I quickly pulled her close by holding the sides of her chair and hugged her, and she hugged me back tightly.

It was just as I had imagined.

After a few moments, she broke the hug, pulled away a bit, and looked deeply into my eyes. We slowly leaned towards each other, and just as our lips were about to meet, someone knocked on the door.

I felt a surge of anger at the interruption. Whoever it was that ruined our moment, I wouldn't spare them.

The knock came again, and this time I jerked open my eyes to find myself alone in my cabin. Damn, I had been daydreaming. Vedant, get a grip. What are you doing? You've gone crazy.

The knock came again. I composed myself and called out, "Come in."

My secretary entered with a cup of coffee and handed it to me. I asked if Inayat, Shivansh, and the others had arrived.

He said they had come, completed their important work, and left because they had something urgent to handle.

Of course, they have their own offices and responsibilities. I can't force them to stay here all the time, but I wanted to see Inayat.

"How long ago did they leave?" I asked.

"Just now," he replied.

I quickly got up and headed towards the parking area, hoping I might still catch a glimpse of her.

As I reached the parking area, I saw the four of them standing there, deep in discussion.

I approached and greeted them, but from their expressions, it was clear they didn't want me there.

Still, I asked if they needed any help. Shivansh's curt reply made it obvious that they neither needed me nor my help.

But I was not going from there and insisting to help becasue I just wanted some time with Inayat.

I didn't take offense at their words, knowing it's natural not to want a stranger poking their nose into your business.

But what hurt the most was Inayat's response. I had hoped she might talk to me for a while.

Trying to mask my hurt, I left from there. I know I'm behaving like a teenager, but I can't help it maybe because she will be the first girl in my life after my mom.

Feeling down, I tried to console myself thinking "They're friends, so obviously they're closer to each other than to me. Inayat needs time.

Once she gets comfortable, she'll share everything with me.

Maybe she just had a bad day, and that's why she seemed a bit off. Everything will be fine."

Sighing, I went back to my cabin and immersed myself in work, hoping to distract myself from the disappointment.

SHIVANSH'S POV:

When we finally arrived, I parked the car and turned to Inayat. "Are you sure about this?"

She looked determined, her eyes steady. "Yes, I need to do this."

We exited the car and made our way to the basement. The cold, dimly lit space added to the tension. Inayat's father was seated in a chair, his hands bound

Four of us moved towards Aryan, who was already present there. I looked at Inayat to gauge her reaction.

She had stopped in her tracks, tears welling up in her eyes. She looked broken. As she tried to take another step, she stumbled.

I quickly went to her, holding her shoulders to support her. She gripped my hand tightly as we slowly approached her father.

Her father was unconscious. Clearly, Aryan had given him a rough welcome. One of Aryan's men came with a bucket of water and threw it on her father's face.

He flinched as the cold water hit him, and Inayat flinched along with him, closing her eyes and gripping my hand even tighter.

I rubbed my thumb on her knuckles to calm her down, and I could feel it was working. She was slowly calming down.

Her father opened his eyes, and as soon as he saw Inayat, he smirked.

Inayat closed her eyes again. "Oh, so the little bitch finally came," he sneered.

His words infuriated me. How could he call his own daughter such a thing?

I was about to punch him when Inayat held my arm, pulling me back and shaking her head, signaling me to stop.

She slowly let go of my hand and approached him, kneeling down in front of him.

In a quiet voice, she asked, "Why?"

He laughed and replied, "Money," and then continued laughing.

One of Aryan's men moved towards him to teach him a lesson, but Inayat raised her palm to stop him, and he backed off.

Inayat's voice was filled with pain as she asked, "Even when you raise a dog, you become attached to it. We were humans; didn't you feel even a little bit of love for us?"

She was struggling to hold back her tears. I wanted to go to her and offer comfort, but she signaled for me to stay back, and I respected her wish.

She was brave, standing up to the man who had caused her so much pain.

Her father's face twisted in a cruel smile. "Love? You were just tools for me to get what I wanted."

His words cut deep, and I saw Inayat's shoulders tremble, but she stayed strong, not allowing herself to break down in front of him.

Inayat took a deep breath, regaining her composure. "But you've lost everything," she said softly, her voice steady.

"You've lost your family, your dignity, and your freedom. And that's something money can't buy back."

He then laughed and said, "You don't need to worry about that. I'll be out of here soon, and then I'll get everything I want.

Family, love, attachment—it's all nonsense.

All that matters is money. You have too many emotions, don't you? Are you happy now? You loved this guy, but in the end, he betrayed you, right?"

Listening to this, I clenched my fists and closed my eyes. My guilt intensified.

Because of my mistake, this man had the chance to taunt my Ina.

Then he added, "But if you had loved money, this wouldn't have happened. You'd be happy. Because love can betray you, but money can't. And I want luxuries."

He hadn't even finished his sentence when Inayat shouted, "And because of that, you killed my maa and were planning to kill me too. How can a person be so despicable and greedy?

And if you wanted to kill me, why pretend to love for 22 years?"

We all flinched at her voice. But then that man also shouted, "Because after 22 years, you were supposed to sign the property over to me.

If you had done that, I wouldn't have killed you, but you wanted to fulfill your so called mother's dreams, didn't you?

And I want nothing but money. If I have to kill you for it, I won't hesitate."

I wanted to go and kill that man myself. I could see everyone in the room felt the same, but we were all standing still because Inayat had stopped us.

Then she said in a very deep voice, "I must have committed some sin in my past life to get a father like you who killed my mother right after I was born."

She stood up and turned around, but then he smiled and said, "But I know you still love me and won't harm me."

She turned towards him, smirked, and then looked at Aryan and said, "He's all yours, Bhai. I don't care even if he dies."

Saying this, she stormed out of the room. Her father was shocked, not expecting her to say that. I saw Rhea going after her, so I ran to stop her and followed Inayat out myself.

I went towards her, held her by her elbow, and though she didn't turn back to face me, I could see the tears streaming down her right cheek.

She tried to free herself from my hold, her voice strained and stern as she ordered, "Leave me, Shivansh."

Her words cut through the air, laced with a pain I could feel in my own heart.

But I didn't reply. Instead, I pulled her towards me with a gentle but firm resolve, and she crashed into my chest, her resistance palpable yet fragile.

She pushed against me, her hands pounding weakly on my chest. She didn't want me to see her broken side, didn't want to crumble in front of me.

But I was not letting her go this time. Her punches grew weaker and weaker, her strength ebbing away with each attempt.

I could feel the desperation and sorrow in every feeble blow. I cupped her face with both hands, forcing her to look into my eyes.

Her gaze was filled with a storm of emotions—pain, anger, betrayal, and an overwhelming sadness.

I held her tighter, pulling her into my chest and hugging her with all the strength and love I could muster. "It's okay, Ina,"

I whispered, my voice breaking. She stopped trying to free herself, the fight draining out of her as she began to cry out loud, her sobs wracking her fragile frame.

She was shattering before me, and all I wanted was to take away her pain, to absorb every bit of her hurt and replace it with love and peace.

My heart ached, seeing her like this, crying and sobbing so desperately. She was so weak that she knelt down, her legs giving way beneath her.

I knelt with her, never letting go, my arms wrapped around her as if I could shield her from all the cruelty in the world.

Her cries grew louder, raw and anguished, and between sobs, she managed to speak. "Shivansh, why did my own father do this to me? How could he? I loved him so much, Shivansh.

I still do. How? How could he be so heartless? He killed my mother, his own wife, and even tried to kill me just for money.

How could he do this to me? Why always me? Why does this happen to me?"

Her words tore through me, each one a dagger to my heart. She pushed her face into my chest and I also held her even closer, caressing her back and hair trying to infuse her with my strength. "Shhh, don't cry, Ina," I whispered, my voice gentle but firm.

"Look here." I lifted her chin, making her meet my gaze.

"You're not alone, sunshine. I am here for you. Rhea, your best friend, is here for you. Advay and Aryan, your brothers, are here for you.

Ahana, Adwik, and Adwit—your entire family is standing by your side. We all love you so much, Inayat. You are not alone in this."

Slowly, her sobs began to subside, her breathing evening out as she clung to me. She looked into my eyes, and I could see the flicker of hope amidst the despair.

I leaned forward, our foreheads touching, our breaths mingling. We stayed like that for a moment, sharing the silence, sharing the pain.

I kissed her tear-stained cheeks softly, and she closed her eyes, a single tear escaping and trailing down her face.

I moved to her other cheek, feeling her breathing quicken under my touch. Then, I kissed her eyelids slowly and softly, each kiss a promise of unwavering support.

Lastly, I reached her forehead, gave it a lingering kiss, and stayed there, letting her know I was there, sharing her pain and offering my comfort.

She leaned into me, her body relaxing as the tension ebbed away. "You're safe now, Ina," I murmured, my voice tender.

"You're loved, and you're not alone. We'll get through this together. I promise."

She nodded slightly, her eyes still closed, as if absorbing the warmth of my words. I continued to hold her, feeling the connection between us grow stronger.

In that moment, nothing else mattered. It was just us, in our shared bubble of love and pain, and I knew that as long as we had each other, we could face anything.

I don't know how long we stayed like that, but then we heard some footsteps. As if suddenly realizing our closeness, she pulled away a bit, pushed me lightly, and stood up.

I followed her and stood up too. She looked down, trying to avoid eye contact with me, while I couldn't stop looking at her.

Just then, Rhea, Advay, and Aryan also came outside. Inayat looked at Rhea, who came over and hugged her.

Rhea said, "No need to think about him anymore. We will handle him."

Inayat nodded in response. Then Advay kissed her forehead, held her shoulders, and said, "We are all with you. You are never alone in this."

Aryan also side-hugged her, kissed her temple, and added, "Forget whatever happened today." She nodded and smiled at them.

Seeing this, I smiled too. I thought that if I ever have a daughter, I would give her every happiness in the world and try to be the best father for her.

Then I looked at Inayat and thought that even she deserves everything in the world and all the happiness, and I will make sure to make this happen.

Just then, my phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, I quickly answered it. As I listened, a smirk formed on my face.

When I ended the call, I noticed four pairs of eyes on me because they had heard me calling her name.

So I said, "She called me and told me that Vikrant wants to separate us, mainly Inayat and me, so that it will be easy for him to get whatever he wants if we are not together."

Aryan then asked, "So now what should we do?"

To which I replied, "What else? Let's make his work easier and invite him here."

Then I went in front of Inayat, folded my hands, and smirked, saying, "So, let's get separated?"

As if understanding my plan, she smirked back and said, "Sure."
