25. Tangled Relations..
I hope you like the chapter. Do give your comments, I love them. ❤️❤️
SHIVANSH'S POV:
When Inayat showed me her new wallpaper of her and that idiot together, I felt so angry that I can't even explain. In my mind I just wanted to snatch her phone right then and there and smash it into pieces, but for now, I didn't want to let that side of me to come infront of her.
I controlled my anger and tried hard not to react. But when she gave me that tight-lipped smile and flipped her hair, all my anger dissipated. She looked so cute while doing that.
I realized she was doing all this intentionally to make me jealous, and she was 100 percent successful. But the way she seems so happy seeing my jealous reactions, I'm ready to feel jealous every day. I'll do anything, God, just make her mine.
Praying this, I also went out. Then I remembered something and went to Inayat's apartment. I called Aahana down, and she came and entered the car. We went to an ice cream parlor.
She bought her ice cream and settled on the bonnet of the car. She loved sitting there since childhood.
Then she asked me the most obvious question," Bhai aap kya mujhe itni raat ko bass ice cream khilane laaye ho? Aap kitne ache hain bhai. I love you so much. "
(Brother, why have you brought me out just to have ice cream so late at night? You're so nice, brother. I love you so much.)
Saying this, she kissed me, and some ice cream got on my cheek. I quickly wiped it and decided to burst her happy bubble, so I said, "Ji nahi main bass aapko ice cream ke liye nahi leke aaya hun. Main abhi aapse kuch puchunga aur aap mujhe sab kuch sach sach batayengi"
(No, I didn't just bring you out for ice cream. I'm going to ask you something now, and I want a truthful answer.)
Listening to this, she stopped eating her ice cream and looked at me with a horrified expression, saying, " Par bhai sach mein mera koi boyfriend nahi hai."
(But brother, I really don't have a boyfriend.)
And hearing this, I was speechless. I mean, I didn't expect this. So, I folded my arms across my chest, put on a stern face, narrowed my eyes , and said, " Par maine toh yeh pucha hi nahi."(But I didn't even ask that.)
To which she laughed a bit, though it sounded completely fake, and said," Ohh mujhe laga mostly bade log yahi sawal karte hain na so shayad aap bhi yahi puch rahe hain." (Oh, I thought mostly older siblings ask this question, so maybe you were asking the same.)
She said all this while looking down, and then she started eating ice cream again. I knew she was lying because whenever she lies, she avoids eye contact.
I'll talk to her about this later, but for now, I just let it go and said, "Okay thik hai but just listen to me clearly. I have given you all the rights and freedom to completely enjoy your life but never I repeat never misuse your freedom or else I wont tolerate it." (Okay, fine. But listen to me clearly. I've given you all the rights and freedom to enjoy your life completely, but never, I repeat, never misuse your freedom, or else I won't tolerate it.)
Upon hearing this, she nodded obediently. Since childhood, I never wanted to be strict with her, but now that our parents aren't here, I need to guide her, so I have to act strict.
Then she looked at me and asked, "Par bhai aap actually mein puchne kya wale the?" (But brother, what were you actually going to ask?)
So I nodded and asked her, "I want you to tell me everything about how you met Inayat in Delhi. I know you told me that Inayat helped you and all, but at that time, you both told many lies, and right now, I just want to hear the truth."
She made a very serious face, sat up straight, and said, "Okay, I'll tell you everything truthfully, but before that, my ice cream is finished, and I want just one more, please, then I'll tell you everything."
But I denied her, saying, "No, you'll catch a cold. Just one is enough."
Then she made a sad face, looked at me with puppy eyes, and pleaded, "Please, bhai, just one last one, and then I'll tell you everything, I promise, please, please, please, please."
So, in the end, I had to agree. I went and brought another one for her, and she happily took it. Then I settled beside her on the bonnet of the car. As it was late at night and this ice cream parlor wasn't on the main road, there weren't many vehicles passing by, so it was peaceful.
Finally, taking a spoon of ice cream, she started telling me everything about how that thief came and how Inayat and Rhea took her to their office and helped her. She said she didn't remember my number, but Inayat had it.
This made me wonder how she got my number, so I asked her. She became silent for a few seconds and then said, "She asked someone and they told her."
Again, she tried to avoid eye contact, indicating she was lying. So, I asked her again, "Aahana, I want the truth."
She sighed, looked at me, and said, "Okay, fine, but for that, can I have another ice..."
Before she could finish her sentence, I glared at her, so she quickly said, "Okay, okay, I was just joking. I don't want any more. I'll tell you the truth."
Then she told me everything about the files containing my images and information, and she also said that since then, her wallpaper had my photo, and she had already saved my number in her phone.
Listening to all this, I was shocked. I mean, I couldn't understand whether I should be happy that she loves me this much or if I should be scared that she stalked me for two years and I didn't even realize it. I mean, she's a pro at stalking. I don't know if I should feel proud or threatened.
I snapped out of my thoughts when Aahana called me and asked what I was thinking. I just shrugged it off and said nothing.
Then she looked at me again and said, " Bhai please yeh sab Inu dii ko matt batana please. Unhone mujhe bolne se mana kiya tha. Par apko toh pata haina that mein apne bade bhai se jhuth kaise bol sakti hun isliye bata diya par please aap unko kuch matt bolna ya puchna." (Brother, please don't tell all this to Inu Di. She had forbidden me from speaking about it. But you know how I can't lie to my elder brother, so I told you. Please, don't say anything to her or ask her.)
I agreed and promised her that I wouldn't say anything to Inayat. Then we went back, and I dropped her off. I also went upstairs, and Aahana went inside her flat, while I decided to have a look into the boys' flat.
So, I knocked, and Aryan opened the door. I pushed him aside and stepped in. He was about to shout, but I covered his mouth because I didn't want anyone else to know I was there. Then I heard Advik screaming from inside, "Aryan bhaiya, who is it at this time?"
I gestured for him to reply that Aahana had come. Then I removed my hand from Aryan's mouth, and he also screamed and replied, "Aahana had come, but she left."
To which Advik just said okay. Then I whispered to Aryan, "Just don't say anything, keep quiet."
He whispered back, "Why?" But I chose to ignore the questions and started going towards Advik and Adwit's room.
I slowly opened the door a little and peeked in to see what they were doing. And my suspicion was absolutely right; both of them were laughing and playing games.
Here I am, paying so much money for them to study and build a bright future, but here they are, busy playing games.
I pushed the door open, and as soon as they heard the door opening, they threw their phones and picked up their books. But now what's the use? I had already caught them.
Then they acted as if they hadn't seen me and slowly looked at me, innocently asking, "Oh, bhai, when did you arrive?"
Aryan was standing beside me with an amused look because all this acting from these two kids must be new to him, but I'm used to it. So, I answered their question and also gave them a good lecture about focusing on their studies. I know they will ignore my advice, but still, it's my duty to guide them.
Then I told Aryan to take their phones away from them every night. Because I used to check them when they were at our home, but if they keep doing this here, they'll ruin themselves.
Then I left from there. I asked Aryan about Advay, and he said that he was tired so he had already slept. Then we talked for a while, and then I left.
I sat in my car, leaned back in the seat, closed my eyes, and thought, If only my parents had supported me instead of kicking me out of the house, maybe I wouldn't have so many responsibilities on me today.
It's not like I don't want them or I'm fed up with my responsibilities, but sometimes I just think of leaving everything and going somewhere. But I can't because I have four kids to handle.
Then I looked up and thought, "Chachu chachi, if you were alive, this wouldn't have happened, but now I just hope I'm fulfilling my responsibility towards your children properly, and I am keeping my promise."
After a while, I started the car and drove away, thinking about the next morning.
The next day followed the same routine; we went to the office. I tried to pursue Inayat, and she tried to ignore me as much as she could. Finally, it was 9 pm at night. We had a lot of work for today, so we decided to work a bit late.
Vedant had gone to his other branch as he had to complete all his work here before returning back. So, right now, Advay, me, Rhea, and My Inayat were working together.
It was late, and we were hungry, so we decided to order food. But Advay refused, saying that he wanted to take some fresh air, so he would go and bring the food.
He got up to leave but then looked back and said, "Rhea, I need to talk to you about something urgent. Can you come for a second?"
Me and Inayat exchanged looks, wondering what they needed to talk about right now, and why she had to go out for it. But anyhow, Rhea nodded and left.

RHEA'S POV:
Advay called me and said he wanted to talk to me about something important, so I went out. And finally, it was time for our plan to take place. Yes, Advay and I had planned something. Last night, I received a text from Advay saying he wanted to discuss something important. So, eventually, I called him.

FLASHBACK
"Hello, Advay, what important thing do you need to discuss with me at 11 pm at night?" I inquired when he finally answered the phone. At first, there was silence, but then I could hear deep breaths, as if he were mustering up courage to speak.
Finally, he said a hello, but his voice was heavy, barely a whisper. It sounded like he had been crying for a very long time.
"Hello, Advay, are you okay?" I asked, concerned. He just hummed in response, and there was silence for a while.
Then he said, "Can you come to the terrace? I need to talk to you, please." Seeing his situation, I agreed.
He said to come after half an hour. Then I went to the terrace at nearly about 11:45. When I reached there, he was already standing there, holding the railing and looking at the sky.
I walked near him and placed my hands on his shoulder, and he flinched. It seemed like he was lost in his deep thoughts. Then he looked at me, and I saw his eyes were completely red. Even in the dark, I could see that his face was also red.
Finally, I asked him, "What were you thinking?"
He looked up again and said, "I was complaining to my parents for leaving us so soon. If they would have been here, then everything would have been fine."
I could feel from his voice that he was very, very sad. His eyes were moist, and his hands were shivering. I kept my hand over his and tried to comfort him. "Advay, look..."
I began, but before I could say anything, he grabbed my hands and said, "Rhea, please help Bhai bring back Inayat, please."
I was taken aback by his statement. "But, Advay, how can I when Inayat doesn't want to go back?" I questioned, feeling helpless.
"Please, Rhea, I know you can do something. Ansh Bhai is not bad; he is very good, I guarantee you. It was just situations that pushed Bhai to take that step. But everyone deserves a second chance. Please give Bhai a second chance, please," he pleaded desperately.
I could see the desperation in his eyes and hear it in his voice. His plea tugged at my heartstrings, and I realized how much he cared about his brother's happiness.
Then I said, "But, Advay, it's not me who has to give him a chance; he has to earn it from Inayat. And if she's not willing, what can I do?" I felt torn, wanting to help but unsure of what I could do in this situation.
"I don't know, Rhea, but please do something, anything. Please, I can't handle it anymore. I can't see my Bhai like this anymore. I can't live away from him anymore.
Bhai's happiness lies in Inayat, and you and I also know that Inayat still loves Bhai, and she will also be happy with him. You've seen Bhai regretting. Please, Rhea, do something, please," Advay pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion.
His words struck a chord with me. I knew he was right; Shivansh and Inayat's happiness were intertwined, and despite everything, I could see the love they still shared. But Inayat's reluctance to forgive Shivansh was a significant obstacle.
As I pondered over the situation, I saw Advay fall to his knees, completely broken. Tears started falling from his eyes, and I couldn't bear to see him in such pain.
I don't know why, but it pains me to see him in this much pain. I sat next to him, unsure of what to do, but I did what I thought was right; I hugged him.
Rubbing his back, I said, "It's okay, Advay, calm down. We will do something. Don't worry." I continued to offer soothing words until he calmed down.
Parting from the hug, I cupped his cheeks and wiped away his tears with my thumb. Throughout this, he kept looking down, appearing cute and innocent, completely different from the rude Advay who used to fight with me.
Then an idea struck me, and I said, "Advay, I have an idea." He immediately looked up at me with hopeful eyes, raising his eyebrows.
I explained the complete plan to him, and when I finished, I could see a small smile forming on his face, which also made me happy. He nodded like a child, indicating his approval.
"Okay, so now shall we go back?" It's already very late. I asked. Again, he nodded.
I got up first and offered him my hand; he held it as he got up. I gave him a very bright smile to cheer him up and he gave me a small one, and then we started going to our respective rooms.
As I lay on my bed, I couldn't shake off the thought that supporting Shivansh and Advay might cause Inayat to feel betrayed once again. But how could I make her understand that the life she is living now is not bringing her happiness or peace. She is unable to forget her past or move forward.
Every time Shivansh's topic arises, I see desperation and longing in her eyes. If only she would give Shivansh a chance to correct himself and show her his love, happiness could return to her life.
Shivansh has the power to replace her bad memories with good ones. He has truly changed and regrets his past actions—I've seen it firsthand. And if I have to go against my friend to bring back her happiness, then I'm willing to do so.
Honestly I've entrusted everything to God. If I'm doing the right thing, I trust that everything will fall into place. And if I'm wrong, I'm confident that God will give me signs.
I believe that everything happens according to HIS will, and whatever is destined to occur will happen.
Destiny is predetermined and perhaps, by working on the same project, destiny has given them a chance to reconcile.
I just hope that whatever unfolds, it's for the best. With one final prayer to God, I closed my eyes, allowing sleep to wash over me.
