18. Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo..
(PLEASE READ THE NOTE AT THE END)
SHIVANSH'S POV:
It's been 1 month and 7 days since Inayat was admitted to the hospital, and it's been 15 days since I last saw her. That day when Inayat told me she didn't want to see me, I left from there. Her exact words being "I don't know him." "I don't want strangers in my room." "Get out Mr. Kapoor." If I say that it didn't hurt me to listen these then it would be a lie. But whatever I have done I know I deserve this so I'm just ready to welcome all her hate and try to change them to love again.
That day I left from there and I had thought that I would only meet her after she gets better, but then I couldn't resist; my heart didn't agree to wait until she recovers. I was feeling very restless, so finally again that night I decided that I would go to her, hold her feet, and ask for forgiveness. I know expecting her to forgive me so quickly is foolish, but still, I need to try.
So, I went to meet her, but after seeing the way she reacted on seeing me again, I couldn't gather the courage to face her any time soon. And since then, it's been 15 days; I go there every day, sit outside, but I couldn't bring myself to go inside or see her until now.
Tomorrow, she will be discharged from the hospital, and I don't think she will come to our home. But I will talk to her tomorrow morning and do whatever it takes to bring her back home. It was 2 am at night, and I still couldn't sleep.
Aahana, Advik, and Adwit are back at home sleeping, and Advay, Aryan, and Rhea are with Inayat. I just hope that something good happens for me tomorrow. With these thoughts, I tried to close my eyes, but the flashbacks from that day kept coming into my mind, and I couldn't sleep. Another sleepless night.

FLASHBACK:
That night when I went to the hospital and entered her room, I saw her smiling as she looked at Aahana, who was, as usual, babbling away. Rhea was sitting beside her, feeding her, while Advay and Aryan were on the sofa, engrossed in conversation.
Summoning all my courage, I started walking towards her. She seemed completely focused on Aahana's chatter, so I assumed she hadn't noticed me yet. However, Rhea caught sight of me. She glanced at me and then shook her head slowly, seemingly indicating for me to leave.
But I had resolved to speak to her today, so I brushed aside her silent plea and continued towards Inayat.
Suddenly, I think Inayat realized my presence, and her smile vanished. I observed her as she closed her eyes and clenched her fists. Slowly, she turned towards me, opened her eyes, and took a deep breath before commanding, "LEAVE."
Her voice was so cold and heavy that I can't even begin to describe the feeling I experienced in that moment. Then, she sighed and turned to Rhea, saying, "Rhea, please ask him to leave, please."
Rhea glanced at me, presumably about to say something, when I interrupted, pleading, "Rhea, please, just let me talk to her, just this once." Rhea remained silent and looked at Inayat.
Suddenly, Inayat turned towards me, then back to Rhea, and abruptly threw the plate that Rhea was holding resulting it to break into pieces. We all flinched at that as it was just so sudden.
Then she just started shouting looking at Rhea, "Why the fuck are you not asking him to leave? Tell him to get lost right now."
Rhea panicked and rushed towards me, gripping my shoulders, and pleaded, "Mr. Kapoor, please, for now, please leave. She's not well, please."
But I didn't heed her words and locked eyes with Inayat once more, saying, "Inayat, please, just listen to me, just this once."
But her reaction shocked me to the core. She forcefully pulled out the IV syringe from her hand, leading into a scratch on her hands, and screamed, "Just leave from here and don't show me your face again. I told you once, I don't know you, and I don't want you here, so why don't you listen? Just leave!" Her condition was deteriorating, she struggled to breathe, yet she continued to demand that I leave.
I stood there, rooted to the spot, unable to move. Aryan rushed towards her, embracing her, trying to comfort her, while Advay dragged me out of the room with him. As we exited, all I could see was Rhea rushing towards Inayat, who was losing consciousness in Aryan's arms.
As Advay and I stepped out, he immediately embraced me. He understood that I needed that support at that moment. Even though all I wanted to do was scream, cry, and plead, but right now I can't break down in front of him so I forced myself to hold it together. I knew I deserved the hate I was receiving. Returning his hug, I reassured him, " Fikar matt kar sab thik hojayega. Bahut jaldi sab pehle jaise hojayega. Maine galti ki hai aur pachtana toh padega." (Don't worry, everything will be okay. Things will return to how they were very soon. I made a mistake, and I have to face the consequences.)
He pulled away from the hug, and as I expected, tears were streaming down his face. Holding my hand, he said, " Nahi bhai apki galti nahi hai. Aap aise matt boliye. Jab Inayat sab samjhegi aur usko pata chalega ki apne kya kya kiya hai wo apko turant maaf kardegi." (No, bhai, it's not your fault. Don't say that. When Inayat understands everything and realizes what you've done, she'll forgive you immediately.)
I just smiled at him and nodded, wiping away his tears. Just then, we noticed a nurse and a doctor entering the room. Advay looked at them, then back at me, and hugged me once more. I could tell he wanted to go inside and see what had happened, but he also couldn't leave me alone.
So, I gently pulled away and said, " Its okay mein thik hun tu andar jaa aur dekh Inayat kaisi hai." (It's okay, I'm fine. You go inside and check on Inayat.) He nodded and hurried back into the room. As he left, I walked over to a nearby chair and sat down, burying my face in my hands.
As I sat there, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and then someone sat beside me. I glanced to my side and saw Rhea with a cup of coffee. She handed it to me, and I took it gratefully.
Mine and her relationship has grown a bit as right now according to her I have repented a lot for my mistake and she can sense the genuineness in my eyes.
I took a sip of the coffee and asked her, "How is Inayat now?" She took a deep breath and replied, "The doctor said she lost consciousness because her blood pressure shot up. He advised us not to stress her."
I chuckled wryly and said, "Yeah, and I'm probably the biggest stress for her right now. All of this is happening because of me. I was so foolish that I couldn't understand Inayat properly."
Rhea then took my hand in hers and said, "Shivansh, I won't say it wasn't your fault because it definitely was, but what's done is done, and we can't change that now. Crying over it won't help. We need to think about what to do next.
I can see that you have realized your mistake, and you've made efforts in the past 21 days, but now you need to make Inayat feel it. However, you'll have to give her some time. You've hurt her deeply, so she won't forgive you so easily."
She's right. There's no use crying over spilled milk. I need to figure out what to do next. I looked at her, smiled slightly, nodded, and said, "I understand. Thank you."
Then, something struck me, so I turned to her and asked, "Rhea, by now, I've understood that Inayat isn't some helpless girl struggling with financial problems. What's her true identity?"
She completely turned towards me and replied, "Inu hid it from you so I think she should be the one to reveal too" Then she smirked a little and said "But I can tell you that you'll be shocked when you find out about her, Mr. Kapoor."
I chuckled lightly and said, " Ohh that I already had an inkling when you came and slapped me for Inayat, Ms. Oberoi."
Rhea laughed and said, "Was that slap too hard? Anyways, even if it was, you deserved it." We laughed at it together.
Then, she suddenly turned serious and said, "Inayat's life wasn't a bed of roses. She's learned to navigate through thorns and has built herself up. And she was willing to leave everything for you. So, please, if you decide to accept her this time, don't let her break again."
I nodded determinedly and said, "This is my last mistake; after this, I won't let anything hurt Inayat. I'll always take care of her and cherish her."
Rhea smiled, stood up, and said, "Okay, I think it's time for you to go home"
And then she said while scrunching her nose "And see how you've turned into a mess. Honestly, you're not that good-looking, but if you appear even slightly less handsome than this, I won't give Inayat to you at any cost. So, go home and groom yourself."
With that, she gave me a side hug and went inside. I shook my head and smiled looking at her retreating figure. She acts all mature and advice everyone all the time and just acts serious and in actual she is still a child. Just like Advay.
With this I also left from there and decided to give Inayat time to recover, but afterward, I would do everything to win her back.

I woke up to the ringing of my phone, seeing Aahana's name on the caller ID. Glancing at the time, I realized it was already 10 am. Panic surged through me. I should have been at the hospital with Inayat by now.
As I answered the call, I could hear Aahana crying on the other end. My heart sank with fear. "Aahana, what happened? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" I asked anxiously.
In the background, I could also hear Advik and Adwit crying. Suddenly, Advay's panicked voice broke through the chaos. "Bhai, Inayat is leaving. She's not listening to any of us; she's determined to go back to the US. Do something, bhai. She's already arranged for her private jet and has left for the airport with Rhea as soon as she was discharged."
My heart raced at the news. How could she just leave like this? I snapped out of my thoughts and asked, "When did she leave?"
Advay replied, "Just before 10 minutes ago. She didn't listen to any of us, not even Rhea's attempts to stop her." Realization struck me; there was still time. I could still stop her.
Just as I was considering my next move, Aryan's voice cut through the tension. "Ansh, let her go." Aahana quickly retorted, "You stay quiet."
I also chimed in, "If you can't say anything good, then don't speak nonsense. I can't let her go. I need to do something." With that, I ended the call and collapsed onto my bed, holding my head in my hands, feeling lost and helpless.
I thought it's all my fault from the beginning. I don't know how I misunderstood such a good girl. I was just foolish. Then I closed my eyes and prayed, "God, I know I haven't trusted you until now, but now since that day I have chosen to believe in you. Please, don't break my trust this time. Please don't let my Inayat go away from me."
Then, a thought struck me. I needed advice, and Rhea was the one person who could provide it. Without a second thought, I dialed her number, hoping she could help me figure out what to do next.
As Rhea picked up the call on the fourth ring, she answered, "Yes, Mr. Lawrence." I was momentarily confused by her response.
"Rhea, it's me, Shivansh," I clarified.
She repeated, "Yes, yes, Mr. Lawrence. I'm on my way to the office. Once I arrive, we can have the meeting." Ah, she must be with Inayat, I realized.
Despite the confusion, I pressed on, urgently asking her for help to stop Inayat or at least provide me with some ideas. "Where are you both right now? I'll come over immediately. Just don't let her leave, please," I pleaded.
Rhea's response was swift, "Don't worry, Mr. Lawrence. I will email you right away." With that, she ended the call. I wasted no time, quickly washing my face, brushing my teeth, and getting dressed within ten minutes.
Just as I was ready, my phone pinged with a notification. It was a message from Rhea. As I read it, a smile spread across my lips. Rhea truly was a mastermind.
I grabbed my car keys, determined to execute the first step of my plan: Winning Inayat back. With renewed determination, I set off to put Rhea's plan into action.

AUTHOR'S POV:
As both Rhea and Inayat were on their way to airport, Rhea was continuously looking out of the window, with a sense of anticipation in her eyes, while Inayat remained lost in her thoughts.
Suddenly, a black car overtook them, catching their attention. Inayat glanced around, then turned to Rhea, who seemed equally surprised by the sudden appearance of the car.
Before they could process this, another black car stopped in front of them, and several men emerged, heading in their direction.
Concern etched on her face, Rhea asked, "Why are those people coming here?"
Inayat replied, her voice tinged with apprehension, "I have the same question in my mind."
The men approached nearer and swiftly removed the driver from the car. Two of them opened Rhea's door and forcibly pulled her out, while the same happened with Inayat.
Inayat wiggled trying to come out of their hold and shouted, "What the hell are you people doing?"
One of the men, with a menacing tone, replied from behind, "That day, you survived, but today you won't."
Inayat, bewildered, questioned the identity of the unknown person and why he was doing this. Ignoring their pleas, the man pulled out a gun, declaring his intention to shoot both girls.
But Inayat reacted swiftly, delivering a powerful kick to his knees, causing him to stumble. In a desperate move, she retrieved a gun from her back pocket and aimed it at him. But her shock was palpable when she realized there was no bullet in the gun.
Panicked, Inayat attempted to fend off the man, but he closed in on her. In a burst of strength, she pushed him away, only to feel a searing pain shoot through her spine. The pain was unbearable, causing her to lose her balance and start to collapse.
Just in time, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her upright. Inayat looked up to see Shivansh. Despite her pain, she tried to push him away, but he held on firmly, concern etched on his face.
"Inayat, what's wrong? Are you okay? Are you in pain?" Shivansh's questions poured out, but Inayat continued to struggle against his hold.
However, Shivansh refused to let her go. "Please, Inayat, let me help you," he pleaded.
Before she could respond, Rhea arrived, concern evident in her voice. "Shivansh, what's happening to her?"
Shivansh quickly lifted Inayat into his arms and headed towards the car saying "I don't know, but I think we need to get her to the hospital," he said urgently.
Rhea nodded, following them closely, and inquired about the men who had attacked them.
Shivansh glanced back at the assailants, now being dealt with by Aryan and Advay. "They'll handle it. Let's focus on getting Inayat to the hospital," he replied, determination in his voice.
As they arrived at the hospital, Inayat unconscious and Shivansh fraught with tension, the medical team swiftly took her to the emergency ward.
Overwhelmed with guilt, Shivansh collapsed to the floor, berating himself for being the cause of Inayat's suffering. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have taken this risk. I always end up being the reason for Inayat's pain. Once again, she's here because of me," he lamented.
Rhea hurried to his side, offering comfort and support. "No, this time it's not because of you. None of us could have predicted that this would happen. Stop blaming yourself, Shivansh. Pull yourself together. Everything will be alright," she reassured him.
Nodding, Shivansh and Rhea settled onto nearby chairs, waiting anxiously. After some time, Aryan and Advay arrived at the hospital and rushed over to them. Inquiring about Inayat's condition, they learned that there was no update from the doctors yet.
Suddenly, the door to the emergency ward swung open, and the doctor emerged. Rushing towards him, the group bombarded him with questions about Inayat. The doctor offered reassuring words saying that "There is nothing to worry. Its just then just now she has recovered and I am sure she did something strenous work due to which she suffered the pain in her spinal cord because her spinal cord was injured and it has not recovered fully. She must have got unconscious due the pain. But we have given her some painkillers so now she will be okay and right now she is seeping due to the sedatives and she will wake up soon in an hour or so."
Saying this he left and four of them breathed a sigh of relief. Shivansh just looked up and thanked God silently.
Shivansh then turned to Aryan and Advay, as he asked, "What about those men? What did you do with them?"
Aryan and Advay exchanged a knowing look before responding firmly, "We did what needed to be done." Accepting their response, Shivansh nodded solemnly, his thoughts consumed by Inayat's well-being.
He approached the door to Inayat's room, his heart heavy with worry, yet filled with hope for her recovery. Standing there, he silently watched over her, his love and concern evident in his eyes.
After about an hour and thirty minutes, Inayat finally opened her eyes and looked around to find Aryan, Advay, Rhea, and Shivansh all sitting there. As she tried to get up, everyone noticed that she was awake, and they all rushed to her, bombarding her with questions about how she was feeling.
Inayat reassured them that she was fine now. Just then, her eyes met Shivansh's, who had been standing silently the whole time. She could see his eyes were moist, but she quickly broke eye contact and ignored him again.
Advay went out to call the doctor, and soon the doctor arrived. After asking a few questions, the doctor told her, "From now on, just avoid strenuous activity and take proper care. You're not fully recovered yet, so you may have trouble walking. Don't exert yourself; get someone's help if needed." Inayat nodded in acceptance.
After the doctor left, Aryan approached her and asked, "Are you okay now? Or still feeling pain?"
Inayat smiled at his concern and replied, "I'm okay now. And thank you for saving us."
She also looked at Advay and smiled, saying, "Thanks, bhaiyaa," to which he just smiled back.
Then Inayat asked them, "But how did you know that we were in trouble?"
Rhea quickly answered, "I texted them because I noticed a black car following us from the beginning, so I had a feeling something bad might happen."
Inayat nodded, then asked, "But this morning I checked, and I had bullets in my gun. How did they suddenly vanish?"
Rhea, Advay, Aryan, and Shivansh exchanged looks, and then Aryan suddenly changed the topic, saying, "Inayat, let's not dwell on what happened. We need to focus on the possibility that this may happen again in the future because I think it was Vikram's doing, and we haven't caught him yet."
Inayat nodded and said, "It's okay, bhaiya. You don't need to worry. Once I reach the US, I will handle it."
Advay quickly replied, "No, Inu, you can't go like this. We can't trust those people; we don't know what they might do. And if we hadn't arrived on time today, who knows what could've happened. So, I think you should stay here, and we'll face Vikram together. Once that chapter is over, you can go back. But please don't risk your life like this."
Inayat was about to interrupt when Rhea held her hand and said, "Inu, I think they're right. We can't take any risks, and besides, you're not fit enough to protect yourself. So, I think we should stay here, finish this Vikram chapter, and then go back."
After some thought, Inayat agreed, saying, "Okay, I'll stay, but only until Vikram is caught. Then I'll go back."
Everyone agreed, and then she looked at Advay again, saying, "But I won't go back to your house," to which Rhea quickly said, "Yeah, it's fine. We can stay in our apartment."
Everyone agreed. Until now, Inayat hadn't even glanced at Shivansh, but Shivansh had been looking at Inayat with longing and hope in his eyes. When Inayat finally agreed, his eyes brightened.
He thought that now she had agreed to stay in the same city; soon, she would agree to stay in a same house. With this thought, he left the room with a smile on his face.
