16. The Slap 2..
SHIVANSH'S POV:
Aahana was continuously asking me questions, and listening to her, I felt a tremor inside. I signalled Aryan not to reveal anything, but today he was just determined to tell the truth. And eventually, he did it, and now I don't have answers to the questions these kids are asking me. I don't know how I'm going to face them.
I was thinking all of this when Aahana shook my arm and asked if I really did something like that. Seeing Aahana's trust in me, I felt even worse. I could see disappointment on everyone's faces. Aahana asked me again, and I just turned away, unable to face her and she got her answers. After that whatever she said to me only added to my guilt.
I tried to explain myself to her, but even I knew that whatever I have done can never be justified. But when she said, " Bhai Inu dii ne abb takk akele sambhal liya hai aage bhi sambhal legi apki zarurat nahi hai unhe. And hum sab yahan pe hai so aap chale jaao. " (Bhai, Inu dii has managed alone until now, and she will continue to do so. We're all here for her, so you can leave.) That's it. That was my breaking point. I felt shattered.
Then without even looking at me Aahana turned to leave, and I saw Aryan following her. But suddenly Aryan stopped, and I heard Aahana calling someone Rhea dii, and when I turned, I saw her running towards someone, hugging her. The particular person also hugged her back and was caressing her hair.

AUTHOR'S POV:
Shivansh neither could see her face properly, nor recognize her. But then they broke the hug, and he saw that person approaching towards him furiously. When she came close, he slowly recognized her, and then he saw that she was none other than Rhea Oberoi, the face of Aashiyana Group of Companies.
He was confused seeing her here. He thought what was she doing here, and how did Aahana know her? And why is she here? Does she have any connection with Inayat? He was thinking all of this when he felt a sharp stinging pain on his cheek. And then he realized that Rhea had slapped him.
He couldn't understand what was happening. He was still in shock when she grabbed his collar and said, "How dare you raise your hand on my Inayat? You were hurting her so much, only if I had known this I would have never let her stay here. Staying is out of the question if I had any idea that you are this kind of person who can accuse anyone based on just a misunderstanding I would have never let her come here at the first place. Today, she's in this state because of you. I won't let you go."
Saying this, she let go of his collar and punched him in the chest. The punch was so strong that a faint scream escaped Shivansh's mouth. She was about to punch him again when someone held her hand.
She looked at him, and it was Advay. He jerked her hands away and said loudly, pointing his finger at her, "Aap mere bhai pe iss tarah se haath nahi utha sakti hain. Unhone jo kuch bhi kiya wo unhone ham sabke baare mein sochke kiya hai. And aaj jo hua usme bhai ki koi galti nahi hai unko toh pata bhi nahi tha ki Vikrant unke peeche pada hai."(You can't raise your hand on my brother like this. Whatever he did, he did thinking about all of us. And today's incident is not his fault; he even had no idea that Vikrant was after him.)
Advay was hurt because of Shivansh's behavior and was angry at him, but regardless, Shivansh had always supported him, and he couldn't bear to see him insulted like this.
However, what Advay said only fueled Rhea's anger. She slapped his finger away and said, " Dont you dare raise your voice Mr. Advay Kapoor. Mein Inayat nahi hun jo chup chap sab sunu. "(Don't you dare raise your voice, Mr. Advay Kapoor. I am not Inayat to silently listen to everything.)
Then she went near him and said "Aur aap haaan apko abhi apka bhai nazar aarha hai par apne toh Inayat ko bhi apna behen banaya tha na toh uss din jab apke bhai apki behen pe haath utha rahe tha tabb aap kahan the? Tab apki awaz kyun nahi nikli? Bada behen behen karte the tab apni behen ke liye khade kyun nahi hue? Apko kya pata nahi tha ki apka bhai galat hai. Aaj apne bhai ke liye justification dene aagaye tabb apne behen ke support mein kuch kyun nahi bola?"(And you, just because your brother is in front of you now you are getting angry but what about the day when your brother was raising his hand on your sister? Where were you? Why didn't your voice come out then? You used to claim to be a protective big brother, so why didn't you stand up for your sister that day? Didn't you know your brother was wrong. Didn't you knew all the truth? Now, coming here to justify your brother's actions, why didn't you say anything in support of your sister that day?)
She went very close to him, snapped her fingers in front of him, and said, " Aur agar uss din kuch nahi bola toh aaj bhi apko kuch bhi bolne ka haq bilkul nahi hai. Jese uss din chup chap khade hokar tamasha dekh rahe the wese hi aaj bhi khade hokar tamasha dekhiye bass."(And if you didn't say anything that day, you have no right to say anything today also. Just like that day, stand and watch the drama silently.)
Advay was speechless, hearing all this. He knew everything Shivansh was doing was wrong, but that day he was listening to him without supporting Inayat. It was also a reality check for him. However, even after this he was about to say something when Shivansh squeezed his shoulders and shook his head, indicating him not to say anything.
Shivansh was very much confused seeing all this. He could not get anything that how did Rhea know Inayat and if such a billionaire was her friend then why was she living here saying that she was facing financial problems and what was the truth that Advay knew.
But for now he decided to ignore everything and focus on Inayat. He knew he made a mistake and now everyone wanted him to leave but he did not wanted to leave Inayat in such a state.
So he came forward near Rhea, apologized, and was about to say more when she showed her palm to him and said, "Mr. Kapoor, please don't try to justify yourself because no level of reasons can ever justify your acts. Before I lose control and kill you, please leave my sight. I just don't want to see your face because it reminds me of my friend's pain."
Rhea said this and turned to go near Aahana, who was continuously crying. She hugged Aahana, trying to calm her down, and said only comforting words to her.

SHIVANSH'S POV:
I know I've made a huge mistake, and now everyone wants me to leave, but I can't go anywhere. I can't leave my Inayat; I won't leave her now. I only know one thing – I'm not leaving until Inayat herself walks up to me and asks me to leave. I just want to see her in perfect condition. I can handle her anger, her bitterness, but for now, I want her to be perfectly fine.
I want her heart back, the one that only beats for her Shivansh. I want her back, no matter what, and no one can take her away from me. I will do everything possible to win her back, even if it means begging for her forgiveness. I was determined because I can't leave Inayat like this. I don't care what people will say. Once Inayat is fine, we will make things better together, but for now, I just want her to be okay.
Lost in these thoughts, I kept standing there. However, Rhea approached me, and she said, "Why are you still standing here? You've done enough for us to handle. Please, kindly leave now. I'm requesting you politely because you once helped Inayat, and we don't forget those who help us. So, leave before I lose my calm."
Still determined, I replied, "Miss Oberoi, please let me stay. Just let Inayat regain consciousness once. Let me see her, talk to her, and if she asks me to leave, then I will leave your lives forever. But for now, please let me stay."
Rhea's expression changed from normal to angry. She sarcastically laughed and said, "You want to talk to Inayat after what you did, and you think she will gladly talk to you? If you think so, Mr. Kapoor, you are very very wrong. I know Inayat for 18 years, and I can assure you that from now on, she won't even want to see your face. So, it's better if you leave."
She then turned serious and cold, adding, "And if you don't leave right now, I will call my men, and they will drag you out just the way you dragged Inayat out of the hospital room in front of everyone."
Advay was about to say something, but Aahana interrupted, pleading, "Rhea di, please, don't do this. Please." She was crying, and I felt anger towards myself.
I thought I was protecting these kids, but unknowingly, I had hurt them the most. Seeing Aahana in this state pained my heart; tears gathered in my eyes.
Right now, I wanted to hug someone, cry, and explain myself, but that someone was lying in bed fighting for her life because of me. I felt like I was dying with each passing second.
Lost in these thoughts, I heard Aahana calling me. I looked at her, and her eyes held no anger, but only pain, disappointment, and hurt. She said "Bhaiya, please, for now, just leave from here. Bhai, please."
I opened my mouth to say something, but again she said, " Bhaiya mein apse kabhi nafrat nahi kar sakti mein kya hum mein se koi nahi kar sakta but bhai abhi ke liye please aap jayein yahan se we all need some time. Specially me. Apki jagah humare life mein hamesha wahi rahegi but I think abhi Inu dii ke life se apko chale jaana chahiye. Mein apko abhi dekhti hun toh I just feel guilty that meri wajah se mere bhai ne Inu dii ke saath aisa kiya tha. Isliye bhi please I need time to accept all these please leave bhai. And agar aap nahi jayenge toh mein chali jaungi yahan se aur abb mein kahan jaungi wo aap mein se kisiko bhi nahi pata hoga." Bhaiya, I can never hate you. None of us can, but for now, please leave. We all need some time, especially me. Your place will always be in our lives, but I think, for now, you should leave Inu di's life. When I look at you right now, I just feel guilty that because of me, my brother did this to Inu di. That's why, please, I need time to accept all this. Please leave, bhai. And if you won't go, then I'll leave from here, and where I'll go, none of you will know.
I felt very hurt listening to all this. My sister is feeling guilty because of me. I know I've made a big mistake, but I thought about everyone when I did what I did. My intention wasn't to hurt Inayat; my intention was just to protect my family.
I jumped to conclusions without thinking twice, but that's because I couldn't see anything beyond my family. That day, when I saw Aahana in an unconscious state, I was terrified. My world is only my brothers and sister. Since childhood, I've treated them like my children, always protected them. If they have a problem, my life is the first to be sacrificed. And I was well aware of Aahana's fear of fire. I had promised myself that I would always protect them but that day, seeing her lying on the hospital bed, I felt like I had broken my promise.
I was scared of losing her. My mind wasn't working properly. When Inayat came to the hospital that day, I requested her so many times to leave, but she was adamant, and that's when I made this mistake. But at that time, I couldn't see anything in front of Aahana.
I can't explain these things to them because, whatever the reason may be, I've committed a grave mistake, and now I'm ready for any punishment.
Right now, all I want is to hug Aahana, Advay, Advik, Adwit, and Aryan and explain myself to them, but I know there's no point. The gravity of my mistake is such that no one will try to understand me.
Regardless of what happens, I can't leave Inayat in this condition. I just stood there without reacting to Aahana's words.
However, when she said, "Bhai, you're not leaving, right? Okay, fine, then I'm leaving," and turned to leave, fear gripped me. I know Aahana is stubborn; if she decides something, she will do it.
It's almost midnight, and I can't let her go from here like this. So, for her satisfaction, I decided to leave for now, wait outside the hospital, and come back tomorrow. Maybe by then, everyone will be a bit calmer.
I ran behind her, grabbed her arms, and turned her towards me. I cupped her cheeks and said, "Don't worry; I'm leaving now. You go inside and take care." I wanted to say even more to comfort her but no words came from my mouth. My throat was paining I just wanted to cry.
So saying this, I quickly left from there. After moving to a distance when I turned back, I saw Aahana crying, Aryan consoling her, Adwit and Advik crying hard, and Advay standing near them, trying to calm them down. Rhea was standing near the OT.
I walked away from there and sat on a bench in the hospital garden. The weight of my mistake hung heavily on my shoulders, and the pain in my heart was unbearable.

AUTHOR'S POV:
When Shivansh left, Aahana broke down crying. Aryan went near her, placing his hands on her shoulder. With teary eyes, she looked at him and then towards her younger brothers who were hugging Advay and crying.
They were just 18 years old and they had always lived a carefree life, so whatever happened today was too much for them to handle. Aahana couldn't bear to see this. Feeling a mix of emotions—anger, guilt, hurt—she shrugged Aryan's hands away and walked away from there.
Aryan followed her, calling her name and trying to stop her, but she didn't respond. Running towards her, Aryan held her arm, turned her towards him, and pleaded, "Stop crying, Aahana, please, just calm down, please."
Aahana lifted her face, tears streaming down, and questioned him, "Aryan, why didn't you tell me when Inu dii was in danger? Whyyyyyy?"
Aryan stood silent as she shook his hand and asked again. Trying to calm her down, he held her and brought her inside the waiting room. The floor they were on was reserved for VVIPs, so the area was mostly empty.
He made her sit on a sofa, sat beside her, and pulled her into a hug, saying, "Aahana, you were not in a condition to hear anything. That incident just shook me down. You were unconscious, not well, and everyone was around you. I couldn't even arrange a single moment to speak to you."
Breaking the hug, Aahana expressed her frustration, "At least you could have told me somehow. This was not meant to happen, Aryan. She just doesn't deserve this, and you knew everything from the start, but you chose to be silent." She confronted Aryan, who stood there looking at her face with a sorry expression.
She was angry and broken at the same time. Aryan began explaining, "Ahana, I couldn't tell you. Advay and I had promised Inayat not to tell anyone about that incident. I just couldn't betray that trust bacha. Please try to understnad."
Ahana stood there silent, crying, and Aryan tried to console her, urging her to go where everyone was. He said, "Ahana, we can't be weak right now. Inayat needs us. Let's go to her. Let's be with her; at this moment, she needs us. Ahana, please." Agreeing with his words, Ahana and Aryan went to join everyone else.
On the other side after Advay finally calmed down the twins, he advised them to go and eat something from the canteen as they had not had their dinner. They agreed and went away. Once they left, Advay sat down on a chair and relaxed a bit.
However, he noticed Rhea standing near the OT since then. He approached her and extended a bottle of water towards her. Rhea glanced at his hand and then at his face but without saying anything, she turned to leave.
Advay, however, spoke up, "I am sorry for that day, that I couldn't take a stand. But I can't go against my brother. Since childhood, he has always made me his priority. I have promised myself that no matter what happens, I will always stand by his side. Please try to understand."
Rhea turned back, gave Advay a look, and then simply nodded and took the bottle from his hands and sat down on a chair. Advay also went and sat down on a chair infront of her.
Aahana and Aryan were also coming towards them when Aryan asked "Aahana, did you call Rhea here?" to which Ahana denied.
Then Aryan again asked "Then how did Rhea find out that we are here?"
Then Aahana looked at Aryan and gave a shocked expression and replied " Han yeh toh maine socha hi nahi." (I didn't even think about it.)
To which then Aryan said " Han dimmag ke paas waqt hoga toh kuch sochega na . Apka toh har time rone dhone mein nikal jaata hai sochne ka waqt hi kahan deti hain aap apne dimaag ko." (Well, if you spare some time from crying, then your brain might actually think about things.) Hearing this Aahana glared at Aryan and said hit his stomach from her elbow. Aryan made a fake crying sound.
Aahana hearing this chuckled a bit and said "Let's go back to them, and then I'll ask Rhea dii about it." Aryan agreed to her and both of them reached near them. Aahana went near Rhea and Aryan near Advay.
Aryan patted Advay's back and gave him a small reassuring smile then he leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes. Advay sat there and he was time to time glancing at Rhea and Aahana who were busy talking.
On the other hand Aahana sat near Rhea and asked her how did she got to know that Inayat was here. Rhea said that when she infromed Inayat about Vikrant she got a feeling that something wrong is going to happen so she decided to come to Mumbai.
Then she said that Inayat wears a ring which has a tracker in it for her safety so after landing here she tracked it and got the location of this hospital. When she reached here she thought that Shivansh was injured so she asked the reception about it but she denied.
But then she said that Shivansh is not injured but he had admitted a girl who was shot. At that time she was very scared and she had almost prayed all the God that the girl should not be Inayat.
The receptionist told her the room number and when she came here and at that time Aryan was speaking about Shivansh's deeds so like this she came to know everything.
Aahana just nodded and said that " Sab thik hojayega na dii?" Rhea smiled at her and nodded.
At that moment, Advik and Adwit also arrived. Advay approached them and suggested that they should return home. Initially, the twins were hesitant, but eventually, they agreed. Advay called the driver, and he escorted the twins outside. As Advay was returning, he noticed Shivansh sitting alone on a bench. He couldn't bear to see his brother in such a state.
Shivansh sat there with his elbows on his knees, his face hidden in his palms, clearly overwhelmed and broken. Advay felt very bad for him. Then he went near him and sat beside him. Shivansh straightened up, acknowledging Advay's presence.
Trying to offer comfort, Advay held Shivansh's hand and said, "It's okay, bhai. Everything will be fine." With those words, he leaned in, resting his head on Shivansh's shoulder. The two brothers sat there in silent support for each other, finding solace in their shared presence, and eventually, exhaustion took over, and they both dozed off.
