Cherryfall willed herself to turn invisible and padded up behind the squirrel, and then she quickly dispatched it with a swift bite to the neck. She had told the Clan about Firestar. No one believed her about Brambleclaw, but they hadn't accused her of murder, they just thought she had eaten unicorn droppings and gone berserk. It could have ended worse, but she had to stay locked up in the old Twoleg den for a week before they figured she was sane. She took the squirrel and went to where she had stashed the starling she had caught earlier. She picked both of them up and padded towards camp. She put her prey on they fresh kill pile, picked up a mouse for herself, and walked towards her brother Molewhisker, who was eating a finch on the other side of camp. "Hey," She said, setting her mouse down next to him. "Guess what?" Molewhisker sighed. "Fine, I'll play along. What?" Cherryfall took a deep breath, and then, very quickly, said: "Okay so I was looking for someone to save, when I saw Firestar being choked by a fox trap and I tried to rescue him but he got free and I tried to stop but I barreled into him and sliced his head off and he told me that Brambleclaw had tried to kill him so he couldn't be deputy and I had to make sure that he didn't become leader and I asked him who should be leader and he said Brightheart and then he died so now you have to help me overthrow Bramblestar!" "Why would you want to overthrow me?" Cherryfall turned and saw Bramblestar looming over her. She gulped. "Ummm..."
