Misty POV

We were forced to go to a private school since mother was always working and our stepfather was rich. They thought highly of us but we always seemed to disappoint them despite our efforts. Until today......

It seemed to be a normal day or so we thought, we arrived at school not knowing what soon to come. "Goodbye mother." I said. "Goodbye ma'am." Marina said as we quickly exited the house. "Not so fast." our stepfather William Smith said. "Goodbye Mr. Smith." I said. "Goodbye sir." Marina said. "Please darlings call me father, dad, old man, anything but sir or Mr." he exclaimed. "I'm good." I said "I'll stick with sir." Marina said. We quickly ran out the door avoiding any last minute questions, interrogation whatever you call it. Little did we know this day would change everything...

At School

After, a long boring day of lectures, work, tests, boredom, you know the usually it was finally time for the swim meet the only place we excelled. "Attention girls: Sarah will be doing the breaststroke, Julie will be doing the freestyle, Kate will do butterfly, Vanessa will do backstroke, and finally Marina and Misty will do our relays." Coach said. 'Yes!' I thought the water was the only place in which I felt at peace and Marina and I were practically undefeated besides that Percy Jackson guy. Soon enough it was our turn the whistle blow and we dove into the pool quickly darting to the other side I felt at one with the water. As I swam to Marina and quickly tagged her to go as she also swam as quick as bullet through the water. As she jumped out of the pool we high-fived because coach announced we had won once again we cheered in joy wishing our parents would be proud but we looked into the crowd and saw they weren't there our joy quickly to despair. We walked home carrying another trophy that would never matter little did we know there was something bigger going on.......

At home

Our mother quickly ushered us in the door "GET IN CHILDREN NOW!!!!!" mother whisper screamed. As Marina and I quickly shot each other 'what did we do now' look as we hurried into the living room where mother told us to sit down. "Children, your step-father is at work and seeing as you are twelve I feel now is the right time to tell you about your father." mother said. "What is there to know he's been gone for as long as we can remember." I said. "Ya." Marina said. "Hush children it is time you know you are descendants of a Greek god and for your protection you must go to a camp." mother whispered. Was she joking? I thought she couldn't could she? "You really are serious?" Marina questioned. "Yes now quickly get in the car." mother said running out to the car. "I think she is serious." Marina said. "Somehow I do too." I said. As we drove mother explained more to us like where she met father, how she met him, why he had to leave, and how we may even have some siblings.
