Dad led us rock climbing wall that was moving and spewing something orange out its top.

"Is there lava coming out of that climbing wall?!" Aidan asked/shouted in surprise.

"Yep," Dad said. "We find it provides an extra challenge. It'll move too, if you're not fast enough."

"Cool," I said, without caring much.

"Yeah, I know it's boring and not a challenge," Dad said. "But, you need to know where everything is at camp."

I was about to respond when someone shouted: "Watch out! Rogue pegasi! Rogue pegasi!"

I turned and saw two beautiful buckskin pegasi with black manes and tails galloping at full speed. Their eyes were wild and filled with fear. Aidan and I glanced at each other. We knew exactly what to do, so we started walking toward the elegant horses. They diverged their course and started to gallop toward us.

I wasn't afraid at all. I've ridden on the backs of wild mustangs in the plains of Nevada and tamed the most "aggressive" animals. Seriously, I got a wild lion to start purring like a house cat. I think I can handle a wild pegasus. When they got us, the pegasi dropped to one knee and bowed.

My lord, One whinnied at Aidan.

My lady, The other neighed at me.

"No need to do that," I said gently, reaching up to stroke her nose. "What's your name, girl?"

Well, the humans call me Daisy, The pegasus whinnied. But that's not my name. It's really Atalanta, but it's a mouthful, so I go by Sunny and prefer that to Daisy.

"Like the huntress?" I asked.

Yes.

I'm Spirit, the other neighed.

"What scared you, Sunny?" I asked, concerned.

An Aphrodite camper's blow dryer. They came to the stables with it.

"A blow dryer?!" Aidan asked incredulously. "Who brings a blowdryer to the stables?!"

They do, apparently, Sunny replied.

"Show me where they are!" I said, starting to get angry. "I hate people who scare animals!"

I'll show you where they live, Sunny whinnied. Follow me.

Sunny led me over to a building with walls the color of cement, Greek pillars, a roof that was painted, and a checkboard deck that was blue and white with steps.

Is that where the demigods of Aphrodite live or where love and a Barbie threw up? Aidan asked into my head.

The building had pink everything. Aidan was looking at it with the utmost disgust and then we both threw up right on the deck.

"What gives?!" demanded a girl walking out of the door.

She glanced at Aidan. I could read her thoughts, and then Aidan glanced at me, and our eyes met.

She wants to date me, He said telepathically. No way in Hades.

"Hey," The girl said. "You're cute. We should date."

"No," Aidan growled. "We're aromantic, and I'd never date you."

The girl looked confused.

"Lance!" She yelled into the cabin. "Get out here now!"

A blonde-haired boy came rushing out with half his makeup done.

"Y-yes, D-drew?" Lance asked, sounding scared.

"My charmspeak isn't working!" Drew yelled in his face.

"I-it isn't?" He asked.

"No!" Drew yelled "It isn't!'

"This boy," She pointed at Aidan. "Is refusing to date me!"

"I don't date!" Aidan bellowed. "Use your ears. I. AM. AROMANTIC."

"You're making that up!" Drew yelled.

"No," Dad said. "He isn't. Aromantic is when an individual feels little or no romantic attraction. You should learn these things. Your mother is the Goddess of Romance, is she not? There are different types of love, romance, and sexual orientation. It's important to learn and respect someone's identity."

Drew looked dumbstruck.

In the distance, a hunting horn blew. I squinted at behind the volleyball court. Behind there, were several girls dressed in black combat boots, silver camo pants, silver jackets, and white shirts. By their side, were dozens of falcons and wolves. They were armed with Celestial Bronze knives and silver bows and arrows.

A wide smile spread across Dad's face.

"Come," He said. "It's time to meet the Hunters of Artemis!"

Finally! Agro barked. It's about time they got here!
