Shine's P.O.V.

I was running through the forest with my best friend in the pack Cole. "COME ON COLE YOU'RE TOO SLOW!" I yelled to him. "YOU SHOULD WAIT! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GET UP AT DAWN!" Cole yelled. "I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A DAY WOLF NOW COME ON WE GOTTA GET BACK TO CAMP BEFORE YOU KNOW WHO WAKES UP!" I yelled. "OKAY!" Cole yelled. I was still running faster as we got back to camp only for me to be met by my father: Storm leader of the Protectors. I stopped abruptly accidentally kicking up some dirt. "Hey what's wrong? You chicken...Oh," Cole said coming next to me. "Shine what were you doing in the open forest?" Dad asked angrily. "Well dad you see I wanted to go on a morning run. I mean you know how I am at dawn," I said scared. "You know you're not allowed to leave camp without my permission," Dad said. "But dad I..." I was saying but dad cut me off. "No. You're not allowed to leave without my permission you know this. What if you get hurt," Dad said. "Dad the only thing that could hurt me is something bigger than an adult wolf. And we haven't seen one of those in years," I said. "No excuses. You're grounded," Dad said. "Dad," I complained. "No. You are not to leave the camp until further notice," Dad said. "Dad," I complained again. "No. Just go to the Healer's Den with Aunt Dust," Dad said. "Okay," I said. "Oh and happy birthday," Dad said. "Thanks," I said.

Shade's P.O.V.

I was laying on the grass watching it sway in the wind. "Hey Shade. Wanna come with me to see something cool," My friend Rez said. "No i'm busy," I said. "Busy with what?" Rez asked. "Watching the grass sway," I said. "Then you can come with me," Rez said. "No," I said. "Please," Rez begged. "No," I said. "Will you come for a kiss?" Rez asked. "Rez you know that's not allowed," I said. "Please just one kiss," Rez begged. "No. End of discussion," I said. Rez kissed my cheek as quick as possible. I growled. "Love you too," Rez said "And happy birthday,". I growled again.
