Chapter IV: The World is Unfair

Namjoon's POV

Manager hyung came, being accompanied with a familiar hazel brown haired female. Searching in my mind on who she is, my gaze caught the sight of her white headphones around her neck, that's when it clicked in my mind

Kathy?

"Everyone. Meet Katherine Anne Fox" Manager hyung cheerfully introduced, as if my thought was answered

Upon hearing the female's name, moments peeled away and stopped when I was in the airport

"Oh! I didn't manage to get your name" I said, pointing a finger to her

She laughs, a faint crease of her dimple appearing on her cheek "The names Kath, Katherine Anne Fox" She introduced and playfully bowed down, taking off an imaginary top hat

Her eyes turned to my direction and locking our gaze, realizing I was staring. Tilting her head to the side and raised brow, a small smile on her lips

Secretly pointed a finger to me, she mouthed "Rapmon-ssi? "

I smiled at her, glad that she remembers me and winked, just to reply at her familiarization to me earlier. Her cheeks flushed with a shade of pink

Cute

I placed a finger at my lips, quickly pointing to manager hyung. Thankfully, she understood and brought her gaze back to our manager

"Kath," Manager hyung called her

Just in time, she quickly acted like nothing happened between us a second ago

"These are some of the members of my crew and staffs to the company I'm in while the others are back at Korea" Manager hyung introduced, gesturing out a hand to them

They all politely bowed but some just smiled. Kathy returned their welcoming gesture with a genuine smile, and timid yet cheerfully waved at them

Manager hyung continued to introduce some of our other staffs to her. I looked at Kathy with a puzzled look. Wondering on why she was here at our plane

Soon enough the staffs and crew excused themselves out. Manager hyung then began to introduce us to her and it went out smoothly, neither of us having our covers blown

The members greeted her which she returned with a smile, her darkblue eyes turning to a shape of a half moon whenever she does

As things got settled and everyone got a chance to introduce themselves to her, even if we already know each other, manager hyung began to explain to everyone why is she here

Throughout the explanation, I don't know why Kathy and I keep on secretly exchanging glances after every five minutes...

Third Person View

As the night remained silent and peaceful as it is, the manager continued to introduce the lass of shoulder-lengthed hazel brown hair to the group

Though as the world was somewhat unfair, within the shadows in the group trees outlining the barrier between the runway and the side lawn of the airport, there hid a black container van which is almost unnoticeable in the dark surroundings

The van carried two males, occupying the space behind the driver's seat along with the tremendous amount of computer screens that lit up the room inside. Wires are hanging here and there, and the two males sat in separate stools; one sat in a near corner while the other rolls from one place to another with the wheels of his stool

The guy, in the stool with wheels, has a slightly muscular yet lean body which were obvious enough from his tight, v-neck and white t-shirt that outlines a faint crease of his chest and abs. He also wore rectangular spectacles which suites his almond-shaped eyes and to match it all up, his strikingly red dyed hair is done with an up-do hairstyle that showed his strong jawline

In the van, there's a wall with miniature mainframes and supercomputers put up above a long desk filled with nothing but hard disks, files and wires everywhere aside from a mouse and three computer keyboards

He typed in a bunch of codes from one keyboard to another, then off he goes to the other side of the van. Which has a shelf in one area, filled with CD readers, CPUs, servers, and also having wires dangling over the edge

Beside the shelf, there's a messy bulletin board filled with paper and pictures, below that is a small desk. The desk is filled with journals and three notebooks. The type of notebook which hackers, like himself, use

The oh-so-hacker continued onto his given task despite on how tense he is. He could sense that each movement he makes were carefully watched by the other male in the corner with their piercing cold gaze. The other guy watched him like a tiger, hidden in the tall grass, watching and stalking every move that it's prey would make

The man watching in the corner was the strikingly red headed Agent 1, (Yes, both of them have the same hair colour) having another lolly in his mouth and still wearing the same clothes. During the time of watching the hacker do his work, he was talking to their director- whom they're taking orders from

"Now, is S16 ready for the attack? Remember to just use one shot. One shot, but a big one. Big enough to show her that we're here. Over."

Agent 1 took out his lolly with a hand before answering, "Ofcourse! S16 is always ready when it comes to hurt her. Over." His voice filled with confidence which made the director laugh

"That's my boy!" Praised the director, proud "But remember, you can never be sure it will be easy, especially that it's her we're dealing with. We don't what she has under her sleeves. Release S16 whenever you want. Over and out." The director added, killing the line with a beep

Under her sleeves...

Popping the lolly back in mouth, he dropped his hand that was pressing on his earpiece. His sharp and cold stare eyed the hacker while they continued to type in codes in one keyboard to another, filling the screen with a hypnotizing amount of white numbers and words

"You know, H13..." Agent 1 began which caused the hacker to gulp hard, "You're such a fucking idiot" The red head blurted out

H13, the hacker, stopped typing and immediately flinched when Agent 1's voice roared, "You messed the fuck up big time! For all the flights that you could place her name on... why place it in a celebrity's goddamn plane?!"

Agent 1 run a hand on his face and clenched his jaw

H13 fixed his specs with a shaking hand, "M-Mianhaeyo" He apologized, voice cracking

Annoyed, Agent 1 clicked his tongue, "Forget it and get back to your damn work"  He spat rather harshly, "You fucking dumbass" He added in a low voice

H13 obliged to the orders of his senior before rolling to the small desk, opening all of his 3 notebooks. Connecting all three with a cable, he began typing in such speed that a sea of white codes and numbers immediately flooded one screen

From the left screen he turned to the one on the right, showing a screen for the radar ontop of the van. After from managing that screen, H13 went to the one in the middle and with a few clicks and typing, the screen were now filled with informations about the person they're tracking. The hazel brown haired lass

Which led Agent 1 to question, "Ya, have you hacked into the security system and malfunctioned the CCTVs on S16's path yet?"

"Working on it. Only one camera left," The hacker answered, eyes still glued to the screen while his fingers typed onto his keyboard without looking

With an enter on his keyboard, "Done!" He added

A smirk formed on Agent 1's lips, "Well what are you waiting for? Call S16" He ordered

"Tell her that it's time to start the show"

Kathy's POV

Sir Bang, the manager of BTS, had already left to talk with the pilot after explaining why I'm here. Saying that their was some major difficulties in the airport, my name was then somewhat joined to their immediate trip and lucky that they're also going to the same destination I need to go and here I am

"So Miss Kath, do you know how to speak Korean?" Said the eldest, Jin-ssi

Whom, from what I remember, was the second of the group to speak in English aside from Rapmon-ssi

I nod "Nae, jeo hangukmal haljul alayo (Yes, I can speak Korean language) " I stated in Korean, ofcourse "And please, just call me Kathy instead"

(A/N: I won't be mentioning if Kath or the othr characters will speak in Korean in the time being)

"Is it your first time?" My eyes flicked to the second eldest member's direction, Suga-ssi, after he asked "Going to Korea, I mean"

I smiled "Yes, my friends just kinda dragged me into this" I laughed "One of them surprised the two of us with airplane tickets to Korea. And I'm sure that she bought the tickets because she wants to go to your concert in Korea" I said, crossing my arms

"Your friends are a fan of us?" Asked the blonde maknae, Jimin-ssi

"Ever since you guys debuted. And they're head over heels for all of you" I chuckled, "And apparently they're already on their way to Korea- like what I said earlier during the whole explanation"

"Ahh.. Well, how about you? Are you also a fan?" Asked the Golden Maknae, Jungkook-ssi, in curiosity

I simply shook my head, "Not really. I have a genre that I love the most" I laughed, "Kpop doesn't grab my interest that much. Sorry"

"Then why not be a fan of us? Doesn't the face of our leader captured your heart?" Teased V-ssi after opening a hand below Rapmon-ssi's chin, which resulted the maknae to be smacked upside the head from their leader and made Jhope-ssi laugh

Our chatting continued on, until we formed into circle in the lounge but I stayed behind the couch, standing. We even share some laughs whenever Jin-ssi picks up a joke out of the blue or when Jungkook-ssi would suddenly imitate someone

In the midst of talking, I suddenly felt uneasy. Like, something was kinda off. Then I felt an awful yet familiar feeling go down my spine. A feeling that assured me that there's something wrong

Chills and goosebumps. Shit.

What now?, I mentally thought to myself, paranoid but I held it in under my smile

My heart pounded after a small breeze swept past be from behind, brushing some strands of my hair to my face. Then my nose snuffed a faint scent in the air--my training of scent sensitivity haven't faded yet

Poison

My smile faltered, and my breath hitched in my throat before I simply turned my body around, not catching anyones attention

Outside, I saw a female figure in all black and held a bow, aiming right at me. It was one of the agency's well trained archers, and I already know who the archer is right now

S16. Seohyun Han.

I was absolutely sure that it is her, because Seohyun is their archer that's great on using a bow but she's also the only archer they have that has only has an index finger and a thumb on her left hand. It's obvious from the less fingers her suit has

"Excuse me, I'll just get some water" I heard Rapmon-ssi excuse himself before I felt him standing up, since I'm just standing behind the couch from him

After he spoke, I saw Seohyun move her bow, shifting it's aiming from me to the idol that's going to walk by

Just before he walks infront of me, I warned "Move!"

I shoved him to the side which resulted him to fall on the ground and left me vulnerable

And the next thing I know was a blow on my shoulder, making me jerk it backwards. The pain on my shoulder immediately kicked in, followed by the warmth of my blood ozzing out of my fresh wound

I hissed from the intensity of the pain, but chose to ignore it. Knowing for a long time that their poison can make you numb

"Oh my God, Kathy!" I heard Jin-ssi exclaimed and heard his feet stomp himself up to stand up from the floor

"Stay down! You'll get shot, pabo!" I scolded and disrespected him, but I hope that he could understand that I don't want anyone to be involved in this

Resisting and groaning from the sharp pain and using the hand of my injured arm, I quickly pulled up the sleeves of my other arm

It revealed a long yet thin steal wrist cuff with an oddly vertical shaped piece of metal placed at the top. But with a push of a button somewhere on the metal mesh, the piece of metal ontop converted into a miniature crossbow (same size of my wrist cuff), already loaded with a steel small arrow

I aimed to the archer's small figure in the distance, seeing her load her bow once again with just a few twirls of her arrows with her hand that she took from her holster. I hesitated on what I'm planning to do, it made my stomach upset and I couldn't find myself on closing my hand

Seohyun...

The equipment on my wrist can detect my nerve, allowing it fire the loaded arrow whenever I close or open my hand. I know what I should do and it's not going to be pretty

Seohyun, please...

Seohyun was getting ready to pull on her bow's string, but I know she's also hesitating judging from how slow she was doing it. She needs to do it because she was being forced to do it but she was slowing down her movements on purpose

Please forgive me...

Closing my eyes tight, I closed my hand which fired the small arrow with a speed that the naked eye can't get even a glimpse of; a long and thin steel string attached to it's tail with my device

The archer jerked her head back, dropping her weapon and falling down to the ground. Dead.

I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry...

"Shut the door" I ordered before sending the arrow I used back to my cuff with a movement of my hand, blood coating it's spear head when it came back "Now"

Rapmon-ssi scrambled to his feet and obliged since he's the closest. I fell onto the ground, leaning to the back of the couch, bleeding. My head hung down as my hair draped down, covering my face and the tears falling from my eyes
