A few nights went by as I tried to bring back the girl that I once knew. Today, we all hung around Twinkie tower. Y/n was sitting on the couch, watching Buttercup and I play Power Rangers. The other boys stood around the kitchen, talking.

"... and then the bad guy hit your guy." She clashed the bad guy toy against my blue Power Ranger.

"Oh no!" I laid my guy on the ground, "Bleh, I'm dead! Buttercup, take down the bad guy!"

"Okay, but I have to be sneaky!" She put her finger to her lips and shushed. I nodded as she slowly pushed her guy behind the bad guy, then suddenly made her red Power Ranger stomp on the bad guy.

"Yay!" I cheered.

"Look I found the healing potion!" She held a little Lego in hand and hit my guy with it, "Yay! I saved you!"

"The city is saved!" I gave her a high five, then gazed towards Y/n. She was looking back at me. She sent a weak smile, I sent a smile back, "Buttercup, I think it's your bedtime."

"What? No! I don't wanna!" She cried.

"C'mere, let's get you to bed," She pouted as I picked her up. Once she was in bed I came back to the living room and sat next to Y/n. It was mostly quiet, "So, uh-"

"You're really good with her." She said, eyes on the end of her shirt.

"Thanks, she's really easy to take care of, actually." I smiled and was about to say more, when there was a thud. Buttercup ran down the stairs, crying, and went to her mom.

"I-I had a nightmare..." She sobbed.

"Hey, it's okay, come over here." I began, but didn't pick her up as an idea came to mind, Y/n used to sing that song to calm Buttercup, what if...

"Guys!"I picked up Buttercup and ran to the kitchen, "I have an idea! Did any of you bring the guitar?"

"Uhh, yeah, why?" Ray asked, curiously.

"I wanna try something!"

"Alright..." Ray grabbed it from the kitchen island and handed it to me.

"Y/n?" I asked into the living room. She gazed over at me, her eyes were glossy, "Are you alright?" She sniffed and nodded, "Look, I gotta show you something. Can you come with me? Please?" She took a deep breath and got up, following me to the roof.

"I'm not entirely sure if this'll work, but I really hope so." I said, as we both sat on the roof ledge. Buttercup sat between her mom and I as I got the guitar ready.

"Ghoul, what are you gonna do?" Buttercup asked.

"I'm gonna try to save your mom." Y/n looked at me strangely as I began to strum.

I looked up at her, but nothing had happened, yet, at least.

"Mommy!" Buttercup leaped into her mother's arms as I watched the sparks light back up in her eyes. It's her... she's back... I really did it...

We both then began singing the song together. A smile present on my face.

"Frank..." This time, my eyes glossed over.

"Y/n..." I set the guitar down as she hugged me with Buttercup between us, "I missed you so much..."

"I missed you too..." She began to sob, it's really her... her shape, her fall, her winter snows, her gusty blows, her lava flow, her starry night, and her lack of light... her eyes full of twinkling lights that could be mistaken for fireflies... it's all here...

"Mommy!" She let go and looked down at her daughter.

"Oh Bonnabelle, come here," She held her daughter in her arms, and kissed the side of her head, "I missed you, pumpkin..."

"I missed you too, mommy."

"I love you so much..." She cried into Buttercups shoulder.

"I love you too." K/j/n pulled away and smiled.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?"

"Yeah, Ghoul took care of me while you were sick." She explained, then yawned.

"Really?" She looked up at me, "Thank you."

"It was no big deal, she's a good kid." Buttercup yawned and leaned her head on her mother's shoulder.

"It's way past your bedtime, Buttercup, let's get you in bed," She picked up the little girl and began towards the door, "Ghoul," She stopped and turned towards me, "Don't go anywhere, I wanna talk to you."

"Okay, cool... cool." She smiled and walked out. I leaned against the ledge, staring at the stars, I really saved her... I can't believe it... she's gonna be okay... maybe I can tell her how I feel...

I was so deep in thought, I didn't hear her come up behind me.

"Ghoul," She said, causing me to jump, "Sorry." She leaned against the ledge next to me.

"It's alright, what'd you wanna talk about?"

"I just, wanna thank you. You saved me," She smiled, "I'm such an idiot."

"What? No you're not..."

"Yeah, I am. I fell right into Brendon's trap." Her gaze was on the stars.

"We all did," Casually, I brought my hand over hers, "K/j/n, I really have to tell you something." She looked back at me.

"What is it?"

"I... well I... um..." this is so much harder than I thought...

"...um... y'know the day you were kidnapped?"

"I know of it."

"Well, that morning... you looked so beautiful. I never got the chance to tell you. Then you got taken, and I thought that I wouldn't be able to tell you again. But you're here now, you're okay! You're okay..." She smiled, "... and well, now that you're okay. I wanna tell you all the things I've been wanting to."

"Yeah? Like what?" She asked, curiously.

"Like, how much I adore you. You're so amazing and when you were taken, it broke my heart. Y/n," We now stood face to face, eyes locked on each other's, "...I think I'm in love with you..." She smiled.

"Really?" She asked, softly. I nodded, "I think... I think I might be in love with you too..." I couldn't help but laugh, she did too, "Are you gonna kiss me now?"

"I'd love to." Closing my eyes, I leaned in close. My lips pressed against hers. Her fingers ran through my hair, making the kiss all the more better. She pulled away, fingers still entangled. She giggled, and bit her lip.

"I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. Fuck, you're so pretty..." She giggled once more.

"You are too..." I leaned in and kissed her again. Then again, and again. Finally, she pulled away, "Let's go inside, I'm freezing."

"Huh, oh, oh yeah, let's go inside." I hadn't even realized the cold until just then. She led me down the stairs, her hand in mine, passed Buttercup's room when we got to the second floor. Still flustered, I had totally forgotten about the boys.

"Oh, hi guys. I didn't know you were here." She waved, walking towards them.

"Uh, what?" Poison asked, confused.

"She's okay! I saved her!" I cried joyfully.

"No shit, really?" Kobra asked.

"Yeah!" We now stood in the kitchen with the boys.

"It looks like you did a little more than saving her." Poison smirked, looking at our hands.

"Yeah, I sure did!" I held up our hands, showing the boys. She only laughed.

"Are you two like... together now?" Asked Jet.

"Maybe..." I smiled.

"Awww, guys, Ghoul finally got himself a little girlfriend." Said Poison.

"Maybe now he won't be so horny all the time." Kobra said. I shot him a look.

"Shut up..."

"What? It's true!"

"I'm gonna go to bed. Night guys." She waved and pulled away from me, going to Buttercup's room.

"Guys, you scared her off! What the hell!?" They just laughed.

"Oh did we hurt Ghouw's wittle feewings?" Poison laughed.

"Whatever, I'm going to bed too." Before doing so, I went to the bathroom, did my business, as I was washing my hands, K/j/n walked in.

"Hey..."

"Hey, I'm so sorry about them. That wasn't an okay thing to say..."

"It's fine. I'm not mad. Um... do you maybe wanna sleep with me and Buttercup tonight? I mean..." She looked down, playing with the end of her shirt, "... you don't have to. We just... well we only have the one bed but I'd like... to be with you tonight..."

"Y'know, I could always kick the boys out and we could take the couch. Then, maybe tomorrow I could bring my bed from the gas station here. Since, I mostly sleep here anyways."

"You'd do that?"

"Of course, I really like you." I brought my arms around her waist.

"I really like you too."
