Epilogue

The separation was one of the hardest things I have ever seen Makoto go through. The pain in his eyes, the nervousness in his body language and the anxiety in his mind. All of it showed on his face when he looked at Shiro that one last time before entering the tunnel. Now, here we were.

A week has passed since the separation of the twins. As alike as I always thought them to be, the differences in them were tremendous. While they looked alike and acted similar, the difference between the two was simple and easy to understand if you knew them like I had while travelling with them.

Mashiro, the younger twin, is alot more self-centred then Makoto. He liked lighter things. He always wore the lighter stuff, while Makoto wore darker. He prefers maps over anything and loved to be able to kick back and relax.

Makoto on the other hand seemed to be the complete opposite to his twin. He wore the darker colours and always set out to help make anyone's life better. He never put himself first, which is why Mashiro and him began to fight alot. Because Mashiro didn't want to lose Makoto because he helped people and put his life on the line. Makoto had the talent to draw. He carries three books at the moment of memories, drawn from dreams, books or flashbacks. He was more of a close distance fighter, while Mashiro was a far distant fighter. Mashiro was red and Makoto was blue. They were always opposite each other. And that's how they became the people they are now.

Makoto, or Koto as I called him, walked beside me, his hand in mine. He hadn't frowned since he left the Underworld, leaving his twin, friends and life behind. Splitting away from the group known as the Rebels to be with those like him. Struggling each to survive with their two natures. Their two gifts. Constantly fighting each other. They try to survive being blood sucking vampires. None of them ever wished for it, but something's just end up happening an in life, you can choose to hold on to the past or learn from it and move forward in a new direction. That is what Makoto told me. He wasn't happy with how he was, but he was going to learn how to control it and survive. He promised me that.

And here I walk now, beside the boy I have fallen for. The boy who turned little emotionless me into a smart ass. A fighter. A lover and a believer. As cheesy as it all sounds, the truth is something we just can't hide from. No matter how much we try to hide, we can never truly learn to survive in this world of darkness without knowing who we are, where we come from and where we are going. That is all that matters. That you live while you can. Because you never truly know when it could be your last day. Everything can change in just seconds and without a goodbye, someone is gone. Out of their life and out of many others lives.

Fighting is what we stand for. While we hear the Rebels are still together and fighting the dark, a new group will emerge eventually to try and take down those who defy the mighty Dark. I know we won't stop. We will stop at nothing to take him down.

"Chi! Chi! You okay?" my name was called. I looked up, my thoughts ending momentarily as I looked up to see a worried Makoto Snow looking down at me. "You blanked out and wouldn't answer me. You scared me girl."

"Yea, I was just thinking about everything I have seen in the last month. It really has been a change. Sorry for scaring you Koto," I told him with a smile of my own. He chuckled at me before looking forward and stopping dead in his tracks. I followed the direction his eyes were in to see a village just up ahead. Fire burnt here and there and it seemed like a battle had gone on. Makoto raced ahead of me, appearing in front of someone, who sat at the base of a pile of bodies. A stranger sat on top, a smirking playing against his lips. I felt my stomach do a flip and the urge to be sick became strong.

"Well. Well. Well. Looks like it is my lucky day," the stranger says and looks at us smirking. He motioned to the body leaning against the base of the pile. They were alive, as I could see their bloodied chest moving slightly. Mako looked at the person, Christopher next to him within seconds healing him.

"Why did you hurt Danno?" Mako asked, standing up. The figure just laughed and spoke one sentence to us. He said,

"Because it was the only way to get the infamous Makoto Snow to come to his death bed."

I hope you all enjoyed. Above or to the side is the Snow Twins, Mako (left) and Shiro (right). The symbols on the armchair were meant to be on Mako's cheeks but since you can only see half of his face I've placed them on the armrest.

On the right there is Death (upper) and Destruction (lower)

On the left there is Water (upper) and Peace (lower)

This art piece was designed by my amazing friend, TheSenesX. She made this for me and I love her work.
