"Tomorrow our Lawyer Joseph Stanford is coming by" Emily said. "Ugh crazy sissy's dad" Lorelei said. "That's terrible sissy was a good friend of yours" Emily said.

"Mom sissy talked to her stuffed animals, and they answered her" Lorelei said. "Let's just start a new topic" Rory said. "Yes please" Aurora said.

"You're impossible" Emily said. "She said a new topic mom" Lorelei said. "Everything's a joke everyone's a punch line" Emily said. "Okay I'm sorry" Lorelei said.

"My daughter Henny Youngman" Emily said. "Sorry for that little trouble in our China office" Richard said coming over and taking his seat.

"Well, what did I miss" Richard asked. "I was being impossible then I turned into a Jewish comedian" Lorelei said. "Oh well continue" Richard said.

"Thank you" Emily said. "Where was I" Emily asked. "Joseph Stanford is coming tomorrow" Rory said.

"Yes, so Rory, Aurora your grandfather and I thought it might be nice after dinner for you two to go around the house and pick out what you'd like us to leave you on the will" Emily said.

"Got any romance novels" Aurora asked. "Seriously I'm not kidding I been on a binge lately" Aurora said.

"Take a look at that desk in my office it's a really fine Georgian piece" Richard said.

"Why don't I ever bring a tape recorder to these dinners" Lorelei asked. "Oh well anything you want to leave me is fine" Rory said.

"I'm with Rory but if you do have romance novels, I'd like those too and milkshakes" Aurora said.

"Nonsense you should have what you like so just look around when you see something you like stick a post it on it" Emily said.

"Okay you two have officially hit a level of weird that even I marvel at" Lorelei said. "You can pick out things too you know" Emily said. "Oh well now it's way less creepy" Lorelei said.

"Do you hear that Richard" Emily asked. "Apparently we're creepy" Emily said.

"Yes, well you live and learn" Richard said and the cook came out. "Oh cool" Rory said and the cook gave them all a plate. "What's that" Lorelei asked.

"It's dessert" Emily said. "It's pudding" Lorelei said. "Well, if you knew what it was why did you ask" Emily asked.

"You don't like pudding Rora would rather have cake or brownies she loves them way more than pudding" Lorelei said. "Yes, but you like pudding" Emily said.

"Oh, I love pudding I worship it I have a bowl up on the mantel at home with the Virgin Mary glass of wine and a dollar bill next to it" Lorelei said.

"I've never had pudding from a crystal bowl before" Rory said.

"You like the bowl" Emily asked and Rory nodded. "Put a post it on it when you're done" Emily said. "What about you Rora" Emily asked. "Uh it's more Rory's style" Aurora said.

"So, what do we think about this" Lorelei asked. "Where would we put it" Rory asked. "Do we even have room" Aurora asked.

"I don't know the Emily and Richard Gilmore psycho museum" Lorelei said.

"This is the strangest evening I've ever spent here" Rory said.

"Ditto" Aurora said. "So how we, doing" Emily asked coming in the room. "Great just getting ready for the big day" Lorelei said. "Very nice" Emily said.

"So, um it's getting late mom unless you've got some funeral plots for us to decorate, we should really get going" Lorelei said.

"Any special dinner requests next week" Emily asked Rory and Aurora. "Oh well" Rory said when Lorelei interrupted.

"Mom, I want to talk to you for a minute and Rory, Rora why don't you say goodbye to grandpa" Lorelei said. "Very smooth" Rory said.

"Could you make it any more obvious" Aurora asked and left with Rory. "Shall I sit down" Emily asked. "Yeah, but not there okay we got a post it on that we'd like to keep it nice" Lorelei said.

"It must be very exhausting to be you" Emily said. "Mom the twins' birthday is next Friday" Lorelei said.

"I know that" Emily said. "So, we were thinking that maybe we could push our dinner next week to Saturday" Lorelei said. "What are you going to do on Friday" Emily asked.

"Well, I don't know but Tristian usually comes over so" Lorelei said and Emily interrupted.

"Well perfect you'll come here, and we'll have a little party" Emily said.

"I was just hoping we could do it another night" Lorelei said.

"But why come on another night when their birthday falls on the exact night you do come here" Emily said. "Saturday's a pretty good night mom" Lorelei said.

"Not as good as Friday" Emily said. "Pretty close" Lorelei said. "Not from where I'm standing" Emily said.

"Well move then" Lorelei said. "I'm sorry Friday nights are my night that's what we agreed on when you borrowed money for Rory to go to school the rules haven't changed" Emily said.

"Mom, I didn't intend for this loan to become a constant source of blackmail okay now these are my kids' birthdays, and they will have their party at home on Friday and that's it end of story" Lorelei said.

"So how would you and Rora like two parties this year" Lorelei said making Rory and Aurora realize she couldn't get Emily to move the dinner to Saturday.

"You couldn't get her to cave" Rory said. "No but she did agree to make the string quartet learn like a virgin" Lorelei said.

"At least you tried" Aurora said. "Sweetie, darling" Lorelei said motioning to Rory then Rora.

"I promise Saturday night we'll do it right at home a star's hollow extravaganza" Lorelei said.

"So is this party grandma's having gonna be a big deal" Rory asked.

"Not really the government will close that day flags will fly at half-mast Barbra Streisand will give her final concert again" Lorelei said.

"Uh huh" Rory said. "The pope has previous plans but he's trying to get out of them however Elvis and Jim Morrison are coming and they're bringing chips" Lorelei said.

"You could've just said yes" Aurora said. "You ask a simple question" Rory said.

"Lucy I'm home" Lorelei said waking in. "Kitchen" Aurora said reading her book and Lorelei walked in the kitchen.

"And Justin is just so dreamy he can't marry Britney I'll just cry, and cry and cry" Lorelei said.

"Okay thanks" Rory said and hung up. "Pizza's on its way" Rory said. "Did you get breadsticks" Aurora asked. "Yes" Rory told her. "You're such a good provider" Lorelei said.

"Hi" Lorelei said to the twins. "Hi mom" Aurora said happily. "Hey" Rory said.

"I'm gonna start my homework call me when the pizza guy gets here" Rory said and left the room.

"Don't you have homework" Lorelei asked Aurora. "Did it earlier" Aurora said and her phone rang.

"That's Paris" Aurora said and left the room. The home phone went off and Lorelei answered.

"Hello" Lorelei said. "Lorelei what is your work schedule" Emily asked. "Why" Lorelei asked. "I want to go shopping" Emily said. "With me" Lorelei asked.

"I think that goes without saying" Emily said. "Only on your world mom" Lorelei said.

"I want to get Rory and Aurora a birthday present" Emily said. "Well, I'm sure whatever you get them they'll love" Lorelei said.

"Yes, but I want to get them something special something they want something that you would get them" Emily said. "Okay fine you can get them the bong then" Lorelei said.

"This isn't funny I hardly see them we only get to talk at dinner once a week and then it's all about school and Jane or Tristian" Emily said.

"Lane, mom" Lorelei said. "I thought you might let me into your secret club just this one time and help me buy them something for their birthday" Emily said.

"You're serious" Lorelei said. "According to you I'm always serious" Emily said. "Okay" Lorelei said. "Okay" Emily asked. "Okay" Lorelei said.

"Well good I'll meet you at Damion's tomorrow at 3:00" Emily said. "Okay" Lorelei said.

"And dress aprop" Emily started to say when Lorelei interrupted her. "Don't finish that sentence mom" Lorelei said. "I'll see you tomorrow" Emily said. "That a girl" Lorelei said.

"There's the birthday girl" Tristian said going over to Aurora. Aurora smiled and faced him.

"It's not my birthday yet" Aurora said. "I' know that, but it will be I remember because it's the day we met" Tristian said. "I remember" Aurora said.

"Didn't even need the invitation to remember" Tristian said. "Invitation" Aurora asked confused.

"Friday, seven o clock, black tie optional Rory was born at 4:03 and you were born at 4:18 I knew you were the younger twin but didn't know it was that far apart" Tristian said.

"Give me that" Aurora said and took the invitation. "You have any idea who else got these" Aurora asked.

"No not really everyone in our class I think" Tristian said and Aurora sighed. "Please tell me you'll be there" Aurora said. "Don't worry" Tristian said and put his arm around her walking with her to class.

"Oh, isn't that lovely" Emily said looking at a hat. "Oh yeah as soon as their crowned queens of England we'll give it to them" Lorelei said.

"You are so combative today" Emily said. "Hot weather does that to me" Lorelei said. "Oh, mom look this is good" Lorelei said and shown the guitar purse. "What is that" Emily asked.

"It's a purse shaped like a guitar this is great" Lorelei said. "Great for what" Emily asked.

"For the twins we can get Rory pink and Rora purple Rora loves purple" Lorelei said. "What would the twins do with this" Emily asked.

"They'd put stuff in it carry it around too bad they don't have a kitty cat purse Aurora would like that the best" Lorelei said looking around.

"In public" Emily asked. "Yes" Lorelei said. "What would people think" Emily asked. "Well that their axe murders of course" Lorelei said joking before putting the purse back.

"What about pearls" Emily asked going to them. "Pearls" Lorelei asked going to Emily.

"A double string of pearls with a cashmere sweater set" Emily said. "Mom their young girls think of something young" Lorelei said.

"A Mont Blanc pen" Emily asked. "To put on their desk at the law firm" Lorelei said. "They need to write" Emily said. "Not with a $200 pen they don't" Lorelei said.

"Oh, hey these day planners are adorable" Lorelei said going to them with Emily following.

"You could get them one of those funky erasers with the mermaid on it they'll love that" Lorelei said.

"Please be serious we're shopping for Rory and Aurora" Emily said.

"No mom I'm shopping for Rory and Aurora you're shopping for your imaginary granddaughter Barbara Hutton" Lorelei said. "I want to get them something nice" Emily said.

"I know you do but you asked for my help and you're not listening to me" Lorelei said.

"Well, you wanted me to get them Filofax and a mermaid eraser" Emily said. "It's one suggestion" Lorelei said.

"Oh yes and there was the t shirt with the Farrah Fawcett Face" Emily said. "A hero to many who aspire to the perfect feather flip" Lorelei said.

"I don't know how to do this let's just go" Emily said. "Oh, no, no, no come on mom you do know how to do this think pudding" Lorelei said following Emily.

"Pudding" Emily asked. "Come on you asked for my help you're reaching out a little not a lot don't get freaked but mom pudding" Lorelei said.

"Why do you keep saying pudding" Emily asked. "Listen just look around and pick up something they might like" Lorelei said. Emily picked up a bracelet and shown Lorelei.

"Here for Rory" Emily said. "Oh, now that's really good" Lorelei said. "Really" Emily asked.

"Absolutely" Lorelei said. "Doesn't it look like something you could buy at a car wash" Emily asked.

"Totally that's half the charm" Lorelei said. "Oh no it's only $12" Emily said. "$6 more than a car wash" Lorelei said. "$12 is not a present" Emily said.

"$12 is a perfect present mom Rory will love that" Lorelei said. "Can I at least get her the pashmina also" Emily asked and Lorelei shook her head.

"Fine I'll get it" Emily said. "Good choice" Lorelei said. "Oh, it lights up" Emily said. "Now what about Rora" Lorelei asked and Emily picked up an item showing Lorelei.

"That's perfect" Lorelei said. "Really she'll like it" Emily asked.

"Mom she and Rory like just about anything I remember one time Tristan got Rora this book set for her birthday a love story of course and she loved it she wouldn't come out of her room for days only to eat and to use the bathroom" Lorelei said. "Alright then" Emily said.

"You think the party is gonna be bad" Tristian asked as he drove Aurora home. "It's not that it will be bad it's just going to be a lot she basically invited the entire school" Aurora said.

"Come on it can't be that bad" Tristian said. "I guess we'll see" Aurora said.

"Good and hey I got you something I'll give it you at the party" Tristian said.

"Tristian you" Aurora started to say when he interrupted. "Don't finish that sentence" Tristian said. "Fine" Aurora said, and Tristian smiled.

"And don't worry I'll be there I'll make sure no one drives you crazy" Tristian said and Aurora smiled. "My protecter" Aurora said.

Aurora was asleep in her room when Lorelei walked in with a slice of cake and a candle and walked to her bed kissing her on the cheek.

"Happy birthday my mini me" Lorelei said causing Aurora to wake up and look at Lorelei smiling. "Mom" Aurora said before seeing the cake.

"Is that cake" Aurora asked. "Blow out the candle and it's all yours" Lorelei said and Aurora blew out the candle before taking the cake.

"I can't believe how fast you're growing up" Lorelei said.

"Mom don't start we both know I'll always be your shadow" Aurora said.

"I know but I almost lost you when the wreck happened and if it weren't for Tristian" Lorelei said when Aurora stopped her.

"I know but I'm here now okay and I'm not going anywhere okay I love you mom" Aurora said.

"I love you too baby" Lorelei said. "Wanna share" Aurora asked and Lorelei smiled and sat beside Aurora while they eat the cake together.

"Luke" Aurora said running into Luke's. "Rora hey is Tristian outside" Luke asked. "Yeah, but he's coming told him I had to see my favorite person before leaving" Aurora said.

"Don't flatter me kid" Luke said. "We know you love me" Aurora said and Tristian walked in.

"Alright fine but you two over there and try to eat some of that cake I made you" Luke said. "Aw Lukey you made me a cake" Aurora said.

"I will toss it out" Luke said. "No, you won't" Aurora said going to table with Tristian and eating the cake. Tristian looked at her and smiled.

"What" Aurora said once she saw Tristian looking at her. "Nothing I just love your smile" Tristian said and Aurora smiled.

"Hi" Lorelei said once she, Rory, and Aurora walked into the house.

"Jeez mom leave some servants for the rest of the neighborhood" Lorelei said once they found Emily. "There they are the birthday girls" Emily said.

"Hey grandma" Rory said. "Hi grandma" Aurora said smiling. "Wow you really went all out huh" Lorelei said.

"Well, I wanted everything to be perfect" Emily said. "What do you think" Lorelei asked. "I think Edith Wharton would have been proud and busy taking notes" Lorelei said.

"Here babe you and Rora go change" Lorelei said. "Okay" Rory said. "Hurry" Emily said, and Rory and Aurora left.

Aurora was walking around looking bored when she saw Tristian.

"Tristian" Aurora nearly screamed running to him hugging him. "Hey Rora" Tristian said.

"Ugh I thought I was gonna be bored forever" Aurora said and pulled away from the hug. "No worried I'm here oh and your present" Tristian said and gave Aurora her present.

Aurora opened her present and saw what it was and nearly screamed. "You got me the Hope necklace from the originals I been wanting that forever" Aurora said.

"I know I could barely wait to see that look on your face" Tristian said and Aurora smiled.

"Thanks Tristian" Aurora said. "Anything for you" Tristian said and Aurora smiled.

Tristian and Aurora were talking away when Aurora noticed Paris. "Paris" Aurora said smiling once Paris reached her and gave her a hug.

"You came" Aurora said. "Yeah, I did I wouldn't miss your birthday" Paris said smiling. "Oh, your present" Paris said giving Aurora her present.

"Seriously you guys are the best friends ever" Aurora said and opened the present seeing a charm bracelet with a kitty cat charm.

"I love it thanks Paris" Aurora said and gave Paris one more hug. 

"Rora there you are I think you should" Emily said when Rora interrupted.

"I'm not giving a speech you, threw this party without telling me or Rory so you give the speech and get mad I don't care because I will personally leave here with Tristian before you make me give the speech and don't expect me to apologize because I'm not Rory" Aurora said and Emily left.

"Aurora, are you leaving" Richard asked seeing Aurora and Tristian heading out. "Um yeah Tristian is going to come over a bit before heading home" Aurora said.

"Oh, hey before you go take this I remember when you were in the hospital all you could talk about was how much you loved horses and your mom told me when you were younger this was your favorite movie" Richard said and gave Aurora the movie.

"Spirit, grandpa thank you I'll watch this a million times" Aurora said smiling.

"You're welcome oh and your grandma got you this she must've forgot to give you it" Richard said and gave her the present.

Aurora quickly opened it and saw a horse hoof necklace and closed it back smiling.

"Yeah maybe" Aurora said. "Hey, I have to catch Rory but stay safe okay you have no idea how scared I was when I got that call" Richard said.

"I will promise" Aurora said and Richard left but not before giving Aurora a hug.

"You're having another party today" Tristian asked. "Yeah, it was planned before the whole other party thing" Aurora said.

"Am I invited to that one too" Tristian asked. "Of course you are" Aurora said. "Good" Tristian said. 

"Thanks for coming last night I wouldn't have made it" Aurora said. "I'm always here for you, you know that" Tristian said and Aurora smiled.

"Ah a new book thanks mom" Aurora said smiling and hugged Lorelei. "Your turn Rory" Aurora said, and Rory opened her present. "No" Rory said and hugged Lorelei.

"Do you like it" Lorelei asked. "You can take it back" Lorelei said before Rory sat back down next to Aurora.

"No, I love it it's perfect" Rory said. "It's blue and it has a handle" Lorelei said.

"It's way too expensive" Rory said. "I know that's what I told the guy at the store" Lorelei said and Suki came over.

"Okay on three cause I'm gonna drop it" Sookie said with Tristian besides her smiling at Aurora happy that she was happy.

"Okay one, two" Sookie said and put the cake down with the twins' face on it.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Rory and Aurora happy birthday to you" everyone sang.

"Make a wish" Lorelei said before the twins blew out their candles. "Alright everybody I need your attention please this is a very serious moment two priests a rabbi and a duck" Lorelei said.

"Mom" Rory and Aurora said. "Alright I'm kidding, I'm kidding um I would like to propose a toast to the two things in my life that is always good that's always sweet and without whom I would have no reason to get up in the morning my pals Rory and Rora cheers" Lorelei said.

"Cheers" everyone said. "And now in honor of these very special girls I invite you all to help me eat their face" Lorelei said motioning to the cake.

"And you may have the first cut" Sookie said. "I'll get some later" Aurora said and gave the knife to Rory and left with Tristian.

As Aurora was heading out for some fresh air, she saw Emily and Richard and they went towards them. "You guys came" Aurora said smiling and hugged them both.

Aurora pulled away and Emily and Richard noticed the necklace she was wearing was the one Emily got her.

"That looks great on you" Emily said. "Thanks grandma" Aurora said to Emily.

"Rory's inside I'll catch up with you two later hopefully" Aurora said and Emily and Richard went inside. "So, two parties huh" Tristian said.

"Yeah, pretty wild but that's Gilmores I guess" Aurora said. 

"Hey, I have to head out it's getting late, and mom wants me home, but she says to tell you happy birthday and to come over maybe stay the night and we'll all do something" Tristian said.

"Will do" Aurora said. "Night Rora" Tristian said. "Night Tristian" Aurora said and Tristian left.
