"How are the eggs" Rory asked Lorelei. "Good" Lorelei said. "I'm glad" Rory said. "They're still good" Lorelei said seeing Rory and Aurora looked at her.

"I'm still glad" Rory said. "Be gladder if you hurry" Aurora said. "Don't you ride with Tristian" Lorelei asked Aurora.

"He's running late so if he isn't here soon looks like you're taking me" Aurora said.

"Look freaks we will not be late" Lorelei told the twins. "It's the first day of school I want to get there early" Rory said. "Diddo" Aurora said. "We will be there early I promise" Lorelei said.

"Rora and I have different classes this year our routes aren't the same I haven't found the quickest path around and my locker they moved it so I don't even know if it'll work properly and I'll have to get a new one and god knows how long that'll take or where it'll be and that could send the whole day into chaos" Rory said and Lorelei gave her a look.

"I'm just excited" Rory said. "Rora will help you if you need her to, she'll be there" Lorelei said.

"I told her that a million times" Aurora said. "Oh, thank god you haven't left yet" Lane said as she came in.

"Nope what's up" Rory asked as Lane sat next to Aurora.

"Well, I found the greatest record store in the world it's ten minutes from your and Rora's school and I'm wondering how much you love me" Lane said to Rory.

"Lane talk for please get it for me" Aurora said. "Address" Rory said to Lane.

"Record breaker incorporated 2453 Berlin Turnpike" Lane told Rory and Rory wrote it down on a piece of paper.

"Got it place your order now" Rory said. "Yes, okay Charles Mingus, the black saint and the sinner lady" Lane said as Rory wrote it down.

"Mm" Loreli and Aurora said. "Right" Rory said. "The Sonic's here are the Sonic's" Lane soad as Rory wrote it down. "Burn me a copy next" Rory said.

"Mc5 kick out the jams fairport convention Leigh and Lief Beegees Odessa" Lane said. "Beegees really" Aurora said. "Well Mojo says" Lane said.

"So, it must be true" Rory said. "Okay that's it now if I could just find a copy of Whistler, Chauncer, Detroit, and Greenhill I will finally be done with the sixties" Lane said.

"I can get there today tomorrow at the latest" Rory said. "I love it when you go back to school" Lane said.

"Me too" Rory said to her. "Hey" Rory said to Lorelei seeing her getting up.

"I am getting doughnuts for later as soon as I do, I will take you to school and Rora if Tristian doesn't get here and the nice men in the white coats will pick you up" Lorelei said and headed to the counter then suddenly Aurora got a text causing her to look.

"Finally, he's here" Aurora said and got up. "You sure you don't want to ride with me and Tristian" Aurora asked Rory.

"I'm sure" Rory said. "Okay see you at school then" Aurora said and left.

"Tristian, I love you but if we are late" Aurora said and Tristian interrupted. "We won't be late" Tristian said.

"You better hope not, cause if we are that means no sex for you mister" Aurora said. "You're seriously taking sex away if we're late"  Tristin said.

"Yep" Aurora said. "We'll be on time okay in the meantime here" Tristian said and gave her a milkshake.

"A milkshake you're the best" Aurora said and kisses Tristian's cheek and gave her a confused look. "You were just mad at me a second ago" Tristian said.

"Now I'm not" Aurora said. "You can be so confusing" Tristian said.

Rory walked to the classroom and stopped at the door as she Madeline, Louise, and Aurora. Paris looked at Rory before going in the classroom with Madeline and Louise.

"Okay round two" Rory said. "Another long semester of you two being at each other's throats great" Aurora said sarcastically before going in the classroom as Rory followed her.

Aurora took her seat causing Madeline and Louise to do the same as Rory went to Paris.

"Five seconds" Rory asked Paris. "Four" Paris said. "Fine" Rory said. "Now it's three" Paris said.

"Paris, it does not have to be like this" Rory told her. "No" Paris said. "You and I are going to have to spend a lot of time in class together on the Franklin" Rory said.

"I know" Paris said. "We're gonna have to sit in the same classroom, share the same oxygen, occasionally make eye contact" Rory said.

"I can avoid that" Paris said as they walked over to Paris's desk.

"Look I'm not saying that we should be friends I don't want to be friends I'm just saying that maybe we should look at this like life" Rory said.

"Life" Paris asked. "Yes, in life there will be people that you don't like but that you have to coexist with" Rory said. "I am well aware of that" Paris said.

"So, I'm just suggesting that we coexist" Rory said.

"You're just scared that I'm gonna make your life on the Franklin crap especially since I'm the editor and you're oh what's the word not" Paris said.

"Paris" Aurora said sighing as she was sat in the desk behind her.

"If you want to spend the precious energy that you'd normally spend on the paper obsessing on ways to make me miserable then that's your choice I'm just suggesting an alternate plan the paper could be really great this year" Rory said.

"I knew I should've snuck in headphones" Aurora said to herself. "I know" Paris said to Rory.

"So can't we just agree on that and make all the rest of it go away" Rory asked and Louise and Madeline came over.

"Everything okay" Louise asked. "Yeah, riff everything's fine" Rory told her. "We were just talking" Paris said.

"Talking you two" Madeline asked. "About the Franklin" Paris told her. "Oh, nope still seems weird" Madeline said.

"It doesn't seem weird it is weird" Aurora said. "Hey, look we're all on the paper together there's gonna be a lot of long afternoons and weekends" Paris said.

"Weekends" Louise asked. "Yea weekends Louise" Aurora told her. "We need to coexist right" Paris said to Rory.

"Right" Paris said. "I'm sorry back up to the weekends" Louise said. "So that's what we'll do now the first meeting of the Franklin is today" Paris said.

"Yes, it is" Rory said. "Four o'clock" Paris said. "Sounds good" Rory said.

"Wait it's not at 4:00" Aurora said and Rory sat behind Aurora as Paris sat in front of Aurora with Madeline sitting beside Paris.

"It's at 3:15 unless they changed it" Aurora said confused and leaned closer to Paris. "Tell her the truth" Aurora said. "I will" Paris said and Aurora looked at Rory not believing Paris.

"It's at 3:15 actually" Aurora said. "Oh, thanks sis" Rory said and Aurora nodded.

"Weekends were never mentioned I need my weekends all of this gets done on weekends" Louise said motioning to herself before sitting down.

Rory walked in the classroom after hearing several voices seeing the meeting had started.

"Pick a side people" Paris said before noticing Rory. "Oh Rory" Paris said. "Hey" Rory said.

"Nice of you to join us Miss Gilmore" the teacher said. "I thought we were starting at four" Rory said confused.

"No, we start at 3:15 sharp" the teacher said. "I told you this twin" Aurora said. "I was told the time was changed" Rory said. "It wasn't" Aurora said. "Look we're wasting time here" Paris said.

"Take a seat Miss Gilmore" the teacher told Rory. "Sorry" Rory said and sat down next to Aurora.

"Okay so we were just finishing up handing out the first assignments now Rory unfortunately since you got here so late most everything of interest has been given out" Paris said.

"Why I'm shocked" Rory said sarcastically. "Wait, wait just let me check my list here there might be something left for you" Paris said and looked at the list.

"Okay well here they're paving the new parking lot tomorrow" Paris said. "And" Rory said.

"And you can cover it" Paris told Rory as Aurora shook her head tired of the rivalry between the two.

"Cover what" Rory asked. "The paving process" Paris told Rory. "You're serious" Rory asked Paris.

"Absolutely I'm sure there's an angle there somewhere is it environmentally safe what are the financial ramifications should brick have been considered especially taking into account the architecture of the building" Paris said.

"Yeah, yeah I get the idea" Rory said. "But hey if you think this is below you, you can always wait until the next issue you can just use this time to get a nice manicure" Paris said.

"That's okay" Rory said. "Maybe get a massage" Paris said. "I'll do it" Rory said.

"Aromatherapy smell like a peach for a few days" Paris said. "I said I'll do it okay I'll cover the paving" Rory said.

"Okay good well then I guess that's it" Paris said and everyone went to their stations.

"Oh my god I hate her" Rory said as she and Aurora walked into Luke's and sat next to Lorelei. "Ah me too" Lorelei said. "You have no idea who she's talking about" Aurora said.

"Solidarity sister" Lorelei said.  "Paris" Rory said. "Ugh well that I should've e guessed"  Lorelei said.

"Mom she's still my friend" Aurora said. "I know and I like her for you but for Rory I don't" Lorelei said.

"You know what I'll let it slide cause so far I don't like Paris very much right now either" Aurora said.

"She thinks she can torture me off the paper and she can't" Rory said. "No, she can't" Lorelei said.

"I have never met anyone like her before her insistence on holding onto this stupid grudge that is based on nothing and will never ever end shows an amount of commitment that I would've never thought possible I'm beginning to admire her" Rory said. "First day sucked" Lorelei asked.

"Just the paper stuff sucked the rest of the stuff was good" Rory said. "Good I'm glad to hear it" Lorelei said. "Rora" Lorelei asked Aurora. "It was good still not a big fan of school" Aurora said.

"You're just like me in that way" Lorelei said. "Did either of you run into Max" Lorelei asked the twins "I didn't" Aurora said.

"Me either," Rory said. "Really" Lorelei said. "Yeah, our oaths didn't cross" Rory said.

"I tried to avoid him" Aurora said. "Isn't he your girls lot teacher" Lorelei asked.

"Yeah, but I do have really tall people sitting in front of me" Rory said. "And we don't talk in class so" Aurora said. "Rory, Rora" Lorelei said.

"Mom I'm being serious the most I seen him was class" Aurora said and Lorelei nodded. "I saw him in the hallway, and I walked the other way and" Rory said. "Why" Lorelei asked.

"I don't know I thought that's what you'd want me to do" Rory said.

"Just because Max isn't a part of my life anymore doesn't mean he can't be a part of yours he has to be a part of yours you have to see him and talk to him and that's okay that's good I know everything seems screwed up right now, but I don't want you to avoid him especially not on my account okay" Lorelei said. "Alright" Rory said.

"Rora this goes for you too" Lorelei said. "No worries mom I got it" Aurora said. "I am sorry I put you girls in this position" Lorelei said.

"That's okay it's going on the list" Rory said. "My god that list is getting long" Lorelei said. "No kidding" Aurora said.

"You have no idea" Rory said. Moments later they left the diner. "We are having a little gathering tomorrow night" Lorelei said. "A gathering" Aurora asked.

"What kind of gathering" Rory asked. "Well Luke's nephew's here and I thought we could try to make him fell a little more at home" Lorelei said.

"Did you meet him" Aurora asked. "Sort of" Lorelei said.

"What's he like" Rory asked. "Well, he's not gonna be subbing for the new dodo on the Regis show anytime soon let's put it like that" Lorelei said.

"Oh hello" Paris said to Rory as she walked in with Aurora. "Hi" Rory said. "Hey twin" Aurora said and sat next to Rory.

"Hey Rora" Rory said to her. "You're early" Paris said to Rory.

"Yeah, well I felt so bad about the mix up last time I wanted to make sure it didn't happen again it won't" Rory said and Paris sat down.

"Hey, is that new" Rory asked referring to Aurora's earrings. "Yeah, Tristian got them for me" Aurora said. "The bracelet too" Rory asked. "Yeah" Aurora said.

"Why" Rory asked. "He said just because so" Aurora said and shrugged not even noticing other students walked in and took a seat including Madeline and Louise.

"Hey Paris, what do you think about me writing a gossip column for the Franklin" Madeline asked Paris.

"Huh I don't know that's a hard one I mean this is the Franklin a newspaper that's been around for almost a hundred years there have been at least ten former editors of the Franklin that have gone on to work at the New York Times six have gone onto the Washington post three are contributing editors at the New Yorker I think one even went to win the Pulitzer Prize but never mind them I could be the first editor in the history of the Franklin to introduce a column exclusively devoted to who Biffy's goofing today quandary you know I'm gonna have to get back to you on that one" Paris said.

"Okay" Madeline said, and the teacher walked in closing the door behind her.

"Oh, good we're all here and prompt lovely well I've read everyone's article, and they were all extremely well done snappy, informative, well researched" the teacher said as she made her way to Paris.

"Paris you should be very proud of the team you've assembled here this year" the teacher told Paris. "Thank you" Paris said.

"I mean when you've got a reporter who can take an incredibly mundane and seemingly unimportant subject like repaving of the facility parking lot and turn it into a bittersweet piece on how everybody and everything eventually becomes obsolete then you've really got something" the teacher said.

"That's my twin" Aurora said smiling at Rory causing her to smile back.

"Miss Rory Gilmore I was touched" the teacher told Rory. "I owe it all to Paris" Rory said.

"I would strongly advise that next time you give Miss Rory Gilmore something with more meat to it" the teacher told Paris.

"Oh yeah great idea" Paris said. "Okay let's get down to work here we've got a layout to put together" the teacher said and sat at her desk as everyone went to their stations to work on the layout.

"Oh, wow something smells good" Lorelei said walking in the kitchen with Aurora. "It's the garlic" Lorelei said.

"Three heads of it" Jackson said. "Nice" Lorelei said. "I could stay in here for hours" Aurora said.

"I want everything to be perfect we are gonna make this kid think that he died and went to heaven" Sookie said.

"Or Henry the eighth's house" Jackson said, and Lorelei knocked on Rory's door.

"Milady" Lorelei said. "Come in" Rory said and Lorelei opened the door as Aurora went up to Lorelei seeing Rory at the computer still. "Hey, you, joining the festivities" Lorelei asked.

"Smells really good out here" Aurora said. "In a sec" Rory said. "You sound crabby" Lorelei told Rory.

"I'm concentrating" Rory said. "Okay don't concentrate too hard boys like em dumb right Jackson" Lorelei said saying the last part to Jackson.

"If you can navigate yourself around a tree keep on walking" Jackson told Lorelei.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door as Aurora went to Jackson. "Coming" Lorelei said and went to answer the door.

"You need help Jackson" Aurora asked. "You just want to help because you're hungry don't you" Jackson asked and Aurora stayed silent.

"Oh alright" Jackson said and Aurora smiled as Jackson began to tell her what to do. "What if he doesn't do dairy" Sookie asked causing Jackson to look at her.

Lorelei walked in the kitchen with Luke and Jess as Aurora looked up seeing them. "Sookie, Jackson, I want you to meet Luke's nephew this is Jess" Lorelei said.

"And that's my daughter one of the twins Aurora" Lorelei said motioning to Aurora helping Jackson and she gave Jess a small nod as he nodded at her back. "Do you eat cheese" Sookie asked Jess.

"What" Jess said. "Oh my god this is the greatest lemon I have ever grown I mean this is a great Lemon Sookie you gotta try this lemon" Jackson said and Sookie did.

"That is a great lemon" Sookie said. "Try it it's a meyer" Jackson told Aurora, Luke, Jess, and Lorelei.

"Maybe next time" Aurora said. "Jackson grows fruit and then scares people with it" Lorelei told Jess.

"Rory they're here" Lorelei said. "Coming" Rory said from in her room as Jess walked in talking to her.

They eventually moved the feast to the living room as Jackson kept obsessing over the lemons.

"Do you know ham was originally made out of rice" Sookie asked. "What" Jackson said. "Mm-hmm" Sookie said.

"Hey Rory, where's Jess" Luke asked once he saw Rory. "Did he bail" Aurora asked. "He's getting a soda" Rory said. "Here" Lorelei said to Luke as she handed him a plate.

"I'm sorry you must've mistaken me for you" Luke said to Lorelei. "Ooh too much" Lorelei said and took the plate back.

"Oh, I forgot the garlic bread" Sookie said. "Wait there's garlic bread" Aurora asked happily. "I'll get it" Lorelei said giving Luke the plate back as she went to the kitchen.

"His name is Jess" Tristian asked as Aurora was cuddled up to him while Tristian played with his hair.

"Yeah, Jess I think he's kinda into Rory too" Aurora said.

"Well, what do you think about him" Tristian asked. "I don't know much about him to have an opinion" Aurora said.

"But don't get jelly or worried I only have eyes for you" Aurora told Tristian. "I'm not worried I trust you" Tristian said causing Aurora to smile.

"Good" Aurora said. "I also love you if that helps" Tristian said as Aurora shook her head.

"I love you too dork" Aurora said and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Rory, Rora" Lorelei said as she walked in the house closing the door behind her. "Kitchen" Rory said, and Lorelei walked in the kitchen.

"Nowhere in either stars hollow, or its surrounding counties can you get a decent cup of coffee I swear it's like a big stupid coffee conspiracy" Lorelei said.

"Good thing I don't like coffee" Aurora said. "Why don't you just pour the water right into the bag" Rory said to Lorelei seeing her put coffee in the coffee machine.

"Oh, you just but believe me the thought has crossed my mind it's looking better and better all the time" Lorelei said and saw Rory go into her room. "Where are you going" Lorelei asked Rory.

"I'm not through complaining" Lorelei said and looked at what Rory was working on.

"I just have to get some more notes I need" Rory said. "Hmm what's this" Lorelei asked. "What" Rory said.

"This that you're working on" Lorelei said. "It's her interview she did with Max today" Aurora told Lorelei as Rory came back out with more notes. "What interview with Max" Lorelei asked.

"The paper wanted to do a piece on the student's favorite teacher from the previous year and Paris assigned it to me when she caught wind of the fact" Rory said and Lorelei got at what she was saying.

"Wow nice kid that Paris" Lorelei said. "She has her moments mom you know this" Aurora said and Lorelei nodded agreeing.

"It wasn't that bad though" Rory said. "No" Lorelei said. "No, it was actually good it gave us a chance to talk about some things" Rory said.

"Well good" Lorelei said. "Yeah, it was good well I'm gonna buy a folder for it before the store closes" Rory said. "Okay some good writing here missy" Lorelei said.

"Yeah" Rory asked. "Really good twin I kept glancing at it every few minutes" Aurora said.

"It's not quite up to the re-paving piece yet but I'll get there" Rory said.

"Hmm bit he sounds like heck of a guy doesn't he" Lorelei asked referring to Max. "Yeah he does" Rory said and left as Aurora's phone rang. "I'll be back it's Tristian" Aurora said and left.
