"L" Rory said. "Laryngitis, M" Lorelei said. "Mumps, N" Rory said. "Narcolepsy, O" Aurora said.

"Are we going to have to go through this every time we decide who has to clean out the refrigerator" Rory asked.

"Have you seen our refrigerators I do anything to get out of cleaning that out" Aurora said. "Do you want to go back to thumb wrestling" Lorelei asked Rory.

"Osteoporosis, P" Rory said. "Puppy" Lorelei said seeing puppies and went to them.

"That's not a disease" Rory said. "Oh boy mom found puppies" Aurora said.

Aurora and Rory then went over to Lorelei. "Hey oh hi, hi" Lorelei said and gasped looking at the puppies smiling. "Oh" Rory, Rora look at the baby" Lorelei said. "Mom" Rory said.

"Oh, buttercup was found cold and wet hovering under a hudrangea bush along the highway 26 it's a sad highway" Lorelei said.

"As compared to all the happy highways he could've been abandoned by" Aurora said. "Her lineage includes cocker spaniel golden retriever bouvier des flaundres" Lorelei said.

"Gesundheit" Rory said. "Thank you and Rottweiler hm" Lorelei said.

"Buttercup is a special dog she is extremely skittish and tends to react badly toward blond haired females' brunette males' children of either sex other animals red clothing cabbage or anyone in a uniform" Rory said.

"Hey, we just found the doggy version of you" Rory said. "Mom, I love you I do but we cannot have a dog" Aurora said.

"Can I help you" the man asked the girls. "Do not let these three anywhere near a dog they can barely feed themselves" Luke said going to the girls with the man.

"Lukey" Aurora said going to him and giving him a hug. Luke smiled at her before giving her a hug back.

"Shut up you we would be excellent pet owners thank you" Lorelei said. "You cannot be serious" Rory said. "We could get him a pretty bowl" Lorelei said. "Mom it's a, her" Aurora told Lorelei.

"And a new name" Lorelei said. "Mom" Rory and Aurora said.

"This butter cup thing really has to go" Lorelei said. "Do I need to remind you of skippy" Rory asked.

"Skippy" Luke questioned. "I can't believe you would bring up skippy" Lorelei said.

"Slippy was our hamster" Rory said. "He doesn't care" Lorelei said. "What happened to Skippy" Luke asked. "Nothing happened to Skippy" Lorelei said.

"Mom don't lie tell him what happened" Aurora said. "Every time mom would put her hand in his cage, he'd bite her" Rory said.

"And laugh" Lorelei said. "Hamsters can't laugh" Luke said. "I tried to tell her that" Aurora said.

"Oh, this one laughed trust me" Lorelei said. "So finally, she got fed up" Rory said. "Of being laughed at by a hamster" Luke asked.

"Well yeah" Lorelei said. "And she stopped cleaning its cage instead every day she would stuff some Kleenex in there" Rory said.

"You didn't" Luke said. "Oh, but she did" Aurora said. "It was the quilted kind" Lorelei said.

"So, this keeps going on and the cage is just a cage full of Kleenex that moves a little and the smell really good" Rory said. "I can imagine" Luke said.

"Oh no you can't" Lorelei said. "So, then she takes the cage to the place where we bought him waits for the sales guy to go behind the desk and dumps it on the counter then bolts" Rory said.

"You abandoned your hamster" Luke asked. "I know it was bad, but this was a vicious hamster this was like a Damian hamster with little beady eyes and a big, forked tail and a cape with a hood and" Lorelei said before looking at buttercup.

"Bye, bye buttercup" Lorelei said. "Smart choice mom and don't worry she'll find her forever home" Aurora said.

"Bye Luke" Lorelei said to him as he was leaving. "You did the right thing" Rory told Lorelei. "I want a pet" Lorelei said. "You have me and Rora" Rory said.

"You and Rora won't bring me my slippers in the morning" Lorelei said. "You don't have slippers, or I would" Aurora said.

"Will you wear a collar" Lorelei asked. "No" Rory and Aurora said. "It'll be pink" Lorelei said.

"You're sick" Rory said. "Hey, watch how you talk to me remember what happened to skippy" Lorelei said. "Threatening your own child how motherly" Aurora said playfully.

Aurora was at Tristian's getting ready to head home when Tristin stopped her. "Are you heading home" Tristian asked. "Yeah, as soon as I find my jacket" Aurora said.

"You could just stay over" Tristian said and Aurora smiled at him. "Thanks, but I still have some homework to finish up" Aurora said.

"But tonight was fun" Aurora said. "Hey, do you remember that time we got drunk and we" Tristian said before Aurora interrupted.

"Slept together I remember I had to sober up before sneaking to my bedroom so mom wouldn't catch me drunk" Aurora said. "Hey, it wasn't my idea to get drunk" Tristian said.

"No, it was Violet's" Aurora said. "You ever think about her" Tristian asked Aurora.

"Sometimes but not as much anymore I mean I'll always be grateful to her hey if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be in Chilton but in the end, she would want us to move on" Aurora said.

"Come on I'll give you a ride home" Tristian said putting his shoes on handing Aurora her jacket and left.

Lorelei snuck back in the house seeing Rory and Aurora asleep on the couch.

"Where do you think you're going" Rory asked Lorelei who tried to sneak upstairs but Rory stopped her.

"Hi" Lorelei said as Aurora and Rory faced her. "Do you realize how late it is" Aurora asked. "It's 1:00 in the morning" Rory said.

"I know but my watch stopped during a terrible car wreck, and I had to save kittens and small children and four baby chicks" Lorelei said. "Did you have a nice time" Aurora asked.

"Not bad" Lorelei said. "That's a very big smile for a not bad night" Rory said.

"Yeah, well hey he loaned me a book" Lorelei said sitting down as Aurora moved to sit next to Lorelei. "What book" Rory asked. "Swann's way" Lorelei said. "Aren't we ambitious" Aurora said.

"Yes, we are" Lorelei said. "You know what it means when a man loans you a book don't you" Rory asked.

"That he's already read it" Lorelei said. "Yep" Rory said. "How was your night my girls" Lorelei asked.

"Fine I hung out with Tristian for a while reminisced a little about the past then can home and finished homework" Aurora said. "Rory" Lorelei asked.

"Homework" Rory said. "How many times did Dean call" Lorelei asked. "Not that many" Rory said. "Liar" Aurora told Rory.

"How many" Lorelei asked. "Three" Rory said. "Liar" Aurora said again. "Five" Rory said. "Not an all-time high but very respectable I'm going to bed" Lorelei said.

"Are you two staying here" Lorelei asked. "Yeah, I'm comfortable I've got the pillows in a perfect mushed position" Rory said.

"I'm not I'm going to my comfy bed with my Derek Hale, Kol Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson, JJ Maybank, and Damon Salvatore posters and my Kol Mikaelson sheets" Aurora said.

"Okay" Lorelei said as Aurora went to her room to head to bed for the night while Lorelei kissed Rory's forehead.

"Night mom" Lorelei said. "Yeah, you go think about what you've done" Rory said. "I will" Lorelei said. "Hey" Rory said stopping Lorelei going upstairs again.

"What" Lorelei said. "You look happy" Rory said. "I am kid" Lorelei said.

"Just checking" Rory said and Lorelei headed to her room to head to bed for the night.

"Make teachers are different" Louise said. "How are male teachers different" Aurora asked as she got her stuff and stood up.

"They can still be mysterious" Louise said. "I bet his girlfriend's pretty" Madeline said. "I bet she's dumb" Louise said. "Why" Madeline asked as she and Louise stood up.

"Dumb girls crave smart men it's the whole Marilyn Monroe Arther killer syndrome" Louise said. "I still think she's lucky" Madeline said.

"Whoever's he's dating is a loser who doesn't care that he's a teacher in this ridiculous school making a ridiculous teacher salary" Paris said as Rory and Aurora made their way to Paris.

"What are you looking at" Paris asked Rory before leaving.

"Guess someone read the paper today" Louise said. "Hard not to it's everywhere" Aurora said.

"I know Paris's parents' divorce is getting very ugly" Madeline said.

"Her dad should've paid her mom what she wanted and this whole thing would've been over" Louise said.

"That's what my dad did" Madeline said. "Hi" Louise said to Rory. "Hi" Madeline said to Rory.

"Hey" Rory said back to them. "That's a little surprising I'll catch up with you later sis" Aurora said leaving.

"How's the squab" Emily asked. "It's good" Rory said. "Aurora" Emily asked. "I don't know squab" Aurora said. "Lorelei" Emily asked. It's the best tiny, weird bird I've ever eaten" Lorelei said.

"I'm glad" Emily said smiling. "Why are you smiling like that" Lorelei asked. "What are you talking about" Emily asked.

"You're smiling" Lorelei said. "I'm happy" Emily said. "That's not your I'm happy smile" Lorelei said. "Well what smile is it Lorelei" Emily asked.

"That's your I've got something on Lorelei smile" Lorelei said. "Rory, Aurora your mother must be very tired" Emily told them. "She works a lot" Rory said.

"I grew up with that smile I know that smile" Lorelei said. "Tell me about school" Emily said to Rory and Aurora.

"Well, my French final went pretty well" Rory said. "I've improved on the swim team coach says I could make captain next year" Aurora said.

"You can change the subject I know the smile" Lorelei said. "Whatever you say dear" Emily said.

"I've used it a few times myself" Lorelei said.  "Mom" Aurora said. "So, tell me about Parents' Day" Emily said to Aurora and Rory. "What" Lorelei said.

"Parents day next Wednesday when all the parents are supposed to go to classes with their children all day long" Emily said.

"The Chilton newsletter came out today" Lorelei said. "Yep" Rory said. "Right" Lorelei said.

"You didn't read yours" Emily asked. "Not yet but you knew that hence the smile" Lorelei said.

"Lorelei you're really being silly there is no evil plan a foot here I simply bought up a subject I thought we'd all talk about" Emily said. "Oh right" Lorelei said.

"You're supposed to tell me these things I went to yours last time" Lorelei told Aurora. "For once I didn't know Parents' Day was coming up it slipped my mind" Aurora said.

"I'll try another subject the color blue is very pleasant isn't it" Emily asked.

"Mom not everybody can wait outside the mailbox for the Chilton newsletter to arrive and then instantly memorize the contents in three seconds" Lorelei said.

"I'd like to weigh in on the blue color subject please" Rory said. "You have your priorities far be it from me to question them" Emily said.

"Just because I didn't read the newsletter doesn't mean I don't care about my daughters" Lorelei said noticing to Rory and Aurora. "So are you going" Emily asked. "To what" Lorelei asked.

"To Parents' Day" Emily said. "Why don't we talk about it next Friday when I've actually read the newsletter, I guarantee it will be more fun" Lorelei said.

"We could except for the fact Parents' Day is next Wednesday" Emily said. "Wednesday" Lorelei said. "Yup" Rory said.

"If you'd talked about it on Friday then you would've missed it" Emily said.

"Wednesday huh" Lorelei said. "Mom it's okay we get it you don't have to be there" Aurora said. "I guess we'd talk about how you missed it" Emily said.

"I won't miss it" Lorelei said. "Mom it's not a big deal you're busy" Rory said. "You know what I'll go" Emily said. "What" Lorelei said.

"Why not you have to work I as you have insulated have no life therefore, I will go sit with Rory and Aurora at Parents' Day" Emily said.

"I'm not busy I'm going I will be there that's it, end of story okay" Lorelei said. "Fine" Emily said.

"Fine" Lorelei said. "So did you read on page 2 about the mother daughter talent show" Emily asked causing Lorelei to choke. "Everything okay mom" Aurora asked.

"So, who's your mom on a date with" Paris asked. "Paris" Aurora said. "What I'm just asking" Paris said.

"You forget that I know you, you are not just asking" Aurora said. "Fine" Paris said. "Is your mom going to Parents' Day" Paris asked. "She says she is" Aurora said.

"So, what are we watching teen wolf or vampire diaries or are we switching it up and watching outer banks" Paris asked.

"Outer banks" Aurora said and sat beside Paris. Paris put the show on as they watched.

"I can't believe you just won't sell them to me" Sookie said walking in the diner as Rory and Aurora noticed her with Jackson right behind her.

"And I can't believe you're being so small minded" Jackson said.

"My stuffed fried squash blossoms are extremely popular with the customers" Sookie said. "Yes, I know" Jackson said.

"Five bucks says they'll end up married" Aurora said to Rory. "You're on" Rory said. "People come from all over and demand the stuffed fried squash blossoms" Sookie said.

"That is exactly my point" Jackson said. "What'll you have sir anything that comes with the stuffed fried squash blossoms that's what I hear day in day out" Sookie said.

"Yes, that's great I know but all I'm asking you is to try stuffing something a little different this time huh" Jackson said.

"A zucchini tush" Sookie said. "Just a temporary name" Jackson said.

"You want me to serve my customers a genetically engineered vegetable that's named after a butt" Sookie said.

"Hey this is an all-natural vegetable hybrid that is perfectly safe, completely delicious yes it looks a little odd, but you could put it on the map" Jackson said. "I want the blossoms" Sookie said.

"Fine you wanna think small, think small I'm done" Jackson said leaving.

Sookie then took a seat next to Aurora. "Jackson invented a new vegetable again" Rory asked.

"Yep" Sookie said. "It stinks that bowling league didn't work out for him" Aurora said. "Yeah" Sookie said taking a drink. "Hey, look I found them" Lorelei said coming over.

"Where" Rory asked. "They were in a drawer with the roasting pans" Lorelei said. "Cool" Rory said.

"Ooh skates" Sookie said. "Rory and I have a skating date" Lorelei said.

"Mom invited me too but I stink at skating so I'll either go to Paris's or Tristian's" Aurora said.

"I'm Nancy Kerrigan" Rory said. "And I'm  Tonya Harding I'm gonna do the whole shoelace coming untied nervous breakdown let me start again act and everything" Lorelei said.

"When was the last time you put those things on" Luke asked coming over. "You are constantly trying to ruin my fun" Lorelei said.

"Do they even fit anymore" Luke asked.  "Yes, they fit" Lorelei said. "They look rusted" Luke said. "Well can I just have some coffee please" Lorelei asked.

"Hand them over" Luke said sighing. "Why" Lorelei asked. "I'm gonna clean them and tighten the blades" Luke said.

"Really" Lorelei said. "Yes" Luke said. "Can you make them really shiny" Lorelei asked.

"The skates please" Luke said. "Maybe add a couple pompons" Lorelei said. "Just hand them over" Luke said. "Thank you" Lorelei said giving the skates to Luke who left.

"You get really good service here" Sookie told Lorelei. "Yeah, I do" Lorelei said. "Gotta go" Sookie said getting up.

"Anything wrong" Lorelei asked. "Too much yeast too little bowl" Sookie said. "Enough said" Lorelei said and Sookie left.

"So, I think I'm just gonna go for it and wear the fur trimmed skating skirt" Lorelei said.

"Aren't animal print clothing my thing" Aurora asked. "Hey what if we invite Max to go skating with us" Rory asked. "Max" Lorelei said. "Yeah, I thought maybe he'd wanna go" Rory said.

"Well if he's going, I'm going I'll bring a book, or something can't miss an outing with mom's new boyfriend" Aurora said.

"Oh, wait ew he's my teacher oh well I'll still go" Aurora added. "When did you start calling him Max" Lorelei asked Rory.

"Well, the other night he said that I should probably call him something other than Mr. Medina when we're outside of school which makes sense so I'm getting used to saying Max" Rory said.

"You don't see him that much outside of school" Lorelei said.

"But we probably will since you two are basically obsessed with each other" Aurora said. "I wouldn't say obsessed" Lorelei said.

"Mom it's okay out of all the male species he seems okay" Aurora said. "Rora and I like him" Rory added. "Good well that's good" Lorelei said.

"So, what do you think about the skating" Rory asked. "What" Lorelei said.

"Mr. Medina I'm sorry Max" Rory said. "Do you think he'd wanna go" Rory asked. "I don't think he skates" Lorelei said. "Well maybe we could all do something else together" Aurora said.

"Yeah, good something else is good I love something else" Lorelei said.

Aurora saw Tristian, walk up to her who gave her a rose. "My favorite" Aurora said smiling.

"What's the occasion" Aurora asked. "No occasion I was just thinking about you" Tristian said. "Well, it's beautiful thank you" Aurora said.

"Am I taking you home" Tristian asked. "Yeah, I'll meet you in the car" Aurora said and Tristian nodded and left while Paris made her way to Aurora. 

"Tristin gave you a Rose for no reason" Paris said and Aurora sighed before grabbing her stuff and closed her locker.

"Okay Paris for the last time Tristian doesn't like me" Aurora said.

"And you are blind if you think that he's into you" Paris said. "We are just friends" Aurora said. "Oh, come on" Paris said. "Paris" Aurora said.

"Just tell me one thing if I was right can you admit how attractive he is or one thing you like about him" Paris said. "I'm not doing this I'll talk to you later" Aurora said and left. "Coward" Paris yelled.

"Four slices pepperoni pizza" Lorelei said. "From" Rory asked. "Tuesday" Lorelei said. "Last Tuesday" Aurora asked.

"Tuesday in the not-so-distant past" Lorelei said. "Toss it" Rory said and Lorelei did. "So, you remember Paris Geller" Rory asked.

"Aurora's best friend Paris Geller what about her" Lorelei asked.

"Her parents are getting a major divorce" Rory said. "Really" Lorelei said.

"Wait Rora why didn't you say anything" Lorelei asked her. "Didn't know I was supposed to share every little detail Paris tells me" Aurora said.

"Her dad's, like this bigwig at a huge pharmaceutical company and they're printing all the sorted details about it in the paper" Rory said.

"Ooh how sordid" Lorelei said. "Well, it's not the Rick James incident but Hugh Grant should be feeling pretty good about himself" Lorelei said.

"If she was anybody else in the entire universe, I might feel bad for her" Lorelei said. "Mom that's my friend" Aurora said. "Actually, I kinda do feel bad for her" Rory said.

"That's because you are the nicest kid ever to walk the earth" Lorelei said.

"The whole school's talking about it but the weird thing I've noticed is that the whole dynamic there has changed for Rory" Aurora said. "Really how so" Lorelei asked.

"Well Madeline and Louise Paris's best friends not including Rora they said hello to me the other day" Rory said.

"Probably cause they're not that great of best friends" Aurora mumbled. "Really like a normal hello not like a here's Johnny kind of hello" Lorelei asked.

"Normal friendly no act" Rory said. "Wow you're the new Heather" Lorelei said.

"I guess" Rory said. "Oh, hey this is the pizza from mystery Tuesday that one's completely fine" Lorelei said.

"Don't" Aurora said. "It's in the box" Lorelei said. "Oscar" Rory said. "Felix" Lorelei said.

"Mom drop it" Aurora said. "Fine" Lorelei said and tossed the pizza box. "So, how's Swann's Way coming" Rory asked. "Oh finished" Lorelei said.

"You're kidding it took me forever to read it I had to renew it 10 times" Rory said. "Wait for it" Aurora said. "The first sentence I finished the first sentence" Lorelei said. "Ah ha" Rory said.

"It's just I'm so swamped right now you know it's totally the wrong time to start reading the longest book known to man hey maybe you and Rora could give it back to Max for me" Lorelei said.

"Or you could give it to him yourself" Aurora said. "Just bring it with you tomorrow" Rory said.

"Tomorrow" Lorelei said confused. "Parents day" Aurora said. "I know I just I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make it" Lorelei said.

"What do you mean" Rory asked. "Well, I have that thing at the inn, and I thought I could, I could get away but now I can't" Lorelei said. "Stop lying you just don't want to see Medina" Aurora said.

"Rora" Lorelei said. "I'm staying at Tristin's" Aurora said leaving.

Aurora saw Rory and Lorelei, walk in while Rory took her seat. "Didn't think she come" Aurora said. "Me either" Rory said and then the class begun as Max started teaching.

"On Monday we will start a 2 Week exercise in creative writing but that doesn't mean we stop reading one of the greatest inspirations for working writers is the writing of others that they admire Walt Whitman, Read Homer, Dante, Shakespeare and the novelist Edna O'Brien had been quoted as saying that every writer should read some Proust every day now at this point normally I would impress the parents by pulling out a copy of Proust's Swann's way and reading a particular difficult passage but atlas you're all saved I've misplaced my copy" Max said and the bell rang.

"That does it parents thank you for coming students' papers on Whitman are due tomorrow and those of you who are just starting tonight I'll be able to tell" Max said.

"You and Rora go on ahead okay I'm gonna talk to max for a second" Loek told Rory and Aurora.

"Be nice" Aurora said. "I will, I will" Lorelei said. "Okay" Aurora said as she and Rory left.

"Hey, did I hear your mom was kissing Mr. Medina" Tristian said catching up to Aurora.

"What" Aurora said. "Who told you that" Aurora asked. "Paris, she said she saw your mom and Medina making out" Tristian said.

"Great nice going mom" Aurora said shaking her head. "Wait it's true" Tristian asked.

"Look let's just refrain from fighting in front of the grandma okay" Lorelei told Rory. "Fine with me" Rory said.

"The last thing I need tonight is a confrontation with my mother" Lorelei said and Aurora rang the doorbell.

"Hi mom" Lorelei said. "Hey grandma" Aurora said as she walked inside with Lorelei and Rory.

"Boy the roads were a mess out there tonight" Lorelei said and Emily closed the door. "Rory, Rora go upstairs please" Emily said.

"Is everything okay" Rory asked. "I have to talk to your mother please go upstairs" Emily said.

"Well," Rory said. "Rory let's just go" Aurora said leading her upstairs.

"Rora" Paris said once she saw Aurora. "Yeah" Aurora said facing her.

"I'm sorry for ratting your mom out and Mr. Median I wasn't thinking I" Paris said when Aurora interrupted.

"Paris stop it's okay" Aurora said. "Really" Paris asked.

"Yeah, I mean we all make mistakes right" Aurora said and Paris smiled nodding. "I'll text you later" Aurora said and left.

"Mom" Aurora said as she and Rory walked in the door. "Mom we're home" Rory said. "Mom" Aurora said. "Where is she" Aurora asked.

"Let's check her room" Rory said.  The twins then went upstairs to Lorelei's room and saw her crying.

"Oh mom" Aurora said.  Aurora and Rory then laid with their mom as she cried.
