Accidents and Weddings

(Episode 1-22)

"You should get married in Italy" Rory said. "All the way from home the same topic there's tons of stuff going on in the world big stuff" Lorelei said.

"Like what" Aurora asked. "Balkans" Lorelei said. "That was ages ago read a paper" Rory said.

"They make my hands black" Lorelei said. "That's your excuse every time" Aurora told Lorelei.

"Oh, you should walk down the aisle to Frank Sinatra with a huge bouquet of something that smells really good" Rory said. "Pot roast" Lorelei said.

"And you should wear a long veil with your hair up" Aurora said. "I'll take another subject in the world for $200" Lorelei said.

"Why don't you wanna think about this" Rory asked.

"Because I haven't made my mind up about the yes or no part, so I don't wanna start fantasizing about dresses and flowers or doves and Tullie until I do so, please change the subject" Lorelei said.

"But wedding talk is so much more fun" Aurora said. "I think the bridesmaids should be able to pick their own dresses" Rory said.

"You know how in all the family Edith would be yapping about something and Archie would pretend to make a noose and hang himself or shoot himself in the head" Lorelei said.

"Yeah" the twins said in sync. "I don't know something about this moment made me think of that" Lorelei said.

"Got it" Aurora said. "Fine Rora and I are done I'm taking these to Lane" Rory said.

"I'll come with" Aurora told her. "Okay meet me at Luke's" Lorelei said. "Oh, get me a paper please" Rory said. "But my hands" Lorelei said.

"Mom just do it touching a paper won't hurt" Aurora said.

Rory and Aurora headed to Lane's when they heard Lane and Ms. Kim arguing. They slowly made their way in the house once Ms. Kim walked off and made their way to Lane.

"Hey, I came to bring you some of my mom's flowers" Rory told Lame and Lane took them.

"Thanks" Lane said. "Are you okay" Rory asked. "We saw you and your mom having quite a discussion" Aurora said.

"No im not okay" Lane said. "Is something wrong" Aurora asked. "Did she find your CD burner" Rory asked.

"My mother and father are sending me to Korea for the summer to visit my cousins" Lane said.

"So" Aurora said. "They're sending me to Korea, and they won't tell me when I'm coming back" Lane said. "What do you mean they won't tell you when you're coming back" Rory asked.

"I mean they bought me a one-way ticket one way the plane goes there and stops" Lane said walking off and the twins followed her.

"Are you sure" Rory asked. "I called the airline to confirm it, and my parents were in their room whispering all morning and when my mother came out, she looked very happy she was humming I swear they're planning on sending me to Korea for the rest of my life" Lane said.

"Lane" Aurora said. "It's gonna be just like that Sally Field movie where her husband took them to Iran and wouldn't let them come back except, I won't have to keep my head covered" Lane said.

"Okay calm down" Rory told her. "Calm down are you listening I am being shipped off to Korea" Lane said.

"Okay Lane, I think you may be just may, be freaking out a little prematurely" Aurora said.

"Oh really" Lane said to her. "Yes really" Aurora said.

"Let's think about this maybe there's some deal with the airline and that's why the ticket's one way or maybe they haven't worked out the plans with your cousins yet or there's a weather consideration or a holiday you don't know about or" Rory said and sighed.

"Wow I'm really gonna miss you" Rory said. "Won't be the same here without you" Aurora said.

"Good luck" Aurora said, and Lane smiled at her grateful. "Thanks, Rora" Lane said.

"Lane come here please" Ms. Kim said in a singsong voice. "I have to go you and Rora have been good friends" Lane said and left.

"Whatcha reading" Rory asked as she and Aurora walked up to Lorelei seeing her with a wedding magazine.

"Looks interesting" Aurora said. "Oh god do not sneak up on a person like that" Lorelei said and shown them. "Instyle weddings very interesting" Rory said. "No not very interesting" Lorelei said.

"Get any ideas" Aurora asked. "Yes, we should have cake more often" Lorelei said and Rory took the magazine and went to Bootsy.

"Hey Bootsy, I'll take this" Rory said. "Oh no I just" Lorelei said. "That's 6 bucks" Bootsy said and Ms. Patty came over.

"Lorelei" Ms. Patty said as Rory paid for the magazine and gave Bootsy the magazine. "Oh jeez" Lorelei said. "So" Patty said, and Lorelei faced her. "Hi Patty" Lorelei said.

"Instyle weddings you said yes" Patty said. "Oh no not yet" Lorelei said.

"Yet she said yet" Patty said. "We know" Aurora said smiling. "I'm right here" Lorelei said. "He's a good man" Patty asked. "Oh yeah he's a great man" Lorelei said.

"Oh, I love this I just love this" Patty said. "Have you told Luke" she asked.

"No, it just happened last night oh Patty stop it I'll tell him it's not that big a deal if he just finds out" Lorelei said.

"Whatever you say" Patty said. "Well, it just so happens we are on our way over there now to have breakfast, and I'll tell Luke then" Lorelei said.

"Be gentle" Patty said. "Patty Luke and I are just" Lorelei said. "Just friends" Patty and Lorelei said at the same time. "Yea, yes I know" Patty said.

"It's true" Lorelei said. "Okay let's go" Rory said as she and Aurora led Lorelei. "Well, it is" Lorelei said. "We know mom we know" Aurora said.

"What is with this place why will nobody believe me" Lorelei asked. "They believe you" Rory said.

"No, they don't" Lorelei said. "Mom, we promise you that they do" Aurora said. "You and your twin are pacifying me" Lorelei said. "Just a little" Rory said. "Well, I don't like it" Lorelei said.

"Sorry" Aurora said. "We'll see if we can stop" Rory said. The Gilmore girls looked behind them seeing their being followed before looking back straight ahead.

They shared a look and looked behind them again only for the others to act like they weren't following them.

"I can't wait for the movie theater to reopen" Lorelei said and went in the diner with Aurora and Rory and took a seat.

"Mm let's see what looks good" Lorelei said as the twins looked out the window seeing everyone watching them.

"I'm so hungry I'm gonna have to order breakfast and lunch crazy huh" Lorelei said as the twins looked at her. "Mom go tell him" Rory said. "I will" Lorelei said. "Mom now" Aurora said.

"Why" Lorelei asked. "Because in five minutes someone's about to be pushed through that window" Rory said and Lorelei looked seeing what she was talking about.

"This is crazy" Lorelei said. "Why is everybody making such a big deal about this" Lorelei said.

"I'd say it's because everyone knows Luke has a thing for you" Aurora said. "Luke does not have a thing for me" Lorelei said. "Tell him" Rory said.

"Well can barely get through a single conversation without biting each other's heads off" Lorelei said. "Tell him" Aurora said.

"Everything about me repulses that man my coffee drinking my eating habits remember when I called him ranger Bob last week, he hated that" Lorelei said.

"Will you get me a muffin" Rory asked. "Ooh me too, make mine a strawberry" Aurora said. "Okay god done" Lorelei said and got up going to Luke.

After a while Lorelei returned back to twins and gave them their muffin. "Now what's going on" Lorelei asked. "Kirk passed out" Rory said.

"Here's your muffin" Lorelei said showing Rory. "And here's yours Aurora" Lorelei said and shown her. "Thanks" Rory said. "Yeah, thanks mom" Aurora said.

"How'd he, take it" Rory asked. "Fine he took it fine" Lorelei said. "That's what you wanted right" Aurora asked noticing her expression.

"Yeah, yeah of course don't worry honey" Lorelei told Aurora.

Aurora, Rory, and Lorelei arrived at Emily and Richard's as Lorelei parked and the twins got out of the car but looked back seeing Lorelei wasn't behind them. "Everything okay" Rory asked.

"Yeah, I'm just tied to the emergency brake" Lorelei said, and the twins went to her. "How in the world did you do that" Aurora asked.

"Oh, you know with a flourish and a big ending" Lorelei said. "Okay I got it let's go" Lorelei said once she was free and Aurora shut her door.

"Oh, my coat" Lorelei said opening the door getting her coat.

"It's pretty warm out for a coat" Rory said. "Yeah, well it tends to cool off the minute I get in that house" Lorelei said and closed the door. "Are you good now nothing else" Aurora asked.

"I'm good" Lorelei said. "My keys" Lorelei said reaching through the window. "Mom" Rory said.

"I thought you had everything" Aurora said. "They're in the ignition" Lorelei said. "Okay I got them let's go" Lorelei said as they went to the front door.

"What is wrong with you" Rory asked Lorelei. "Nothing" Lorelei said.

"Mom obviously something is wrong this is not like you" Aurora said. "You got lost coming here" Rory told Lorelei.

"I took a wrong turn" Lorelei said. "Six times" Aurora said. "Well, my self preservational instincts at work ladies and gentlemen" Lorelei said.

"And the coat and the keys" Rory asked. "I got stuff on my mind" Lorelei said. "Max stuff" Rory asked.

"No stuff, stuff" Lorelei said. "You're lying" Rory said. "I'm being mysterious that's what women do" Lorelei said. "Mom" Aurora said.

"Oh, look doorbell pretty sound" Lorelei said and rang the doorbell. "You know you always make me and Rora tell you what we're thinking" Rory said.

"Yes, and the lesson we've learned from that is you should never become a spy" Lorelei said and Emily answered the door.

"You're here" Emily said smiling. "Richard they're here" Emily yelled to Richard.

"Wonderful" Richard said. "Come in, come in, come in" Emily said. "Uh no" Lorelei said.

"Why" Emily asked. "Cause you're scaring the twins" Lorelei said. "Oh, stop that get in here" Emily said and brought Lorelei and Rory in as Aurora just walked in.

"Scaring the twins you're so silly sometimes" Emily said and closed the door.

"Let's get you a drink put your coat down oh and are you hungry I had Antonia make some Roquefort puffs" Emily said as she led Lorelei and the twins.

"Antonia bring the puffs" Emily yelled. "Come sit down, sit down" Emily told Lorelei and the twins.

"Richard" Emily yelled. "Say nothing until I get there" Richard said. "Well hurry up" Emily said.

"Mom what's going on" Lorelei asked and Emily led them again. "Oh, the nails, the nails, the nails" Lorelei said and Emily finally stopped leading them.

"So, tell me what's new with you girls" Emily said as Lorelei, Aurora, and Rory sat down. "Uh nothing" Lorelei said.

"What about you, grams did something special happen" Aurora asked. "Well as a matter of fact" Emily said.

"Oh, for goodness' sake Richard, darn it" Emily yelled. "Mom why don't you just tell us what's happening now" Lorelei said and Emily sat down.

"Oh, alright I can't wait for your grandfather any longer" Emily said. "Well, you know I'm very good friends with Bitty Charleston the headmaster's wife" Emily asked.

"Mm-hm" Lorelei said. "Well, we have this little arrangement where she keeps me apprised of the goings on at Chilton you know she tells me all the gossip on the students and their parents and any useful information I might find useful well this afternoon she called to tell me the class list just came out and Rory and Aurora has finished in the top 3%" Emily said. "I know" Lorelei said.

"You do" Emily said confused. "Who do you know at Chilton" Emily asked. "Um Rory and Aurora" Lorelei said.

"It wasn't definite, but Rora and I had a pretty good idea" Rory said and Richard walked in.

"Rory, Aurora wonderful news you finished in the top 3% of your class" Richard said. "Uh yeah dad J. Edgar Hoover here was just telling us" Lorelei said.

"What I told you not to say anything before I got here" Richard said. "Well, you took too long" Emily said.

"No, no we already knew" Lorelei said. "It's a simple request" Richard said. "Just hang up the phone" Emily said. "It's good news either way let's all agree on that" Lorelei said.

"I am immensely proud of you Rory and Aurora" Richard said. "Yes, we knew you could do that" Emily said.

"Hi, hi we certainly did" Richard said and sat next to Emily. "We have to celebrate next week we will have a special dinner" Emily said.

"That's sweet Grams but all your dinners are special" Aurora said.

"Well, this one will be extra special we'll make all your favorite foods, and you can invite some of your friends Aurora you can invite your boyfriend Tristian" Emily said.

"There's an excellent chance that presents might be involved" Richard said. "You guys do not have to do this" Rory said. "Yes, I agree you don't have to do this for us it's fine" Aurora said.

"For the top 3%" Richard said. "We most certainly do" Emily said.

"You start late have to catch up and by the end of the year you've overtaken everyone a true Gilmore" Richard said.

"Through and through" Emily said. "Dinner is ready" Antonia said. "Thank you, Antonia," Emily told her.

"Shall we" Emily said. "Unh, unh, unh after the top 3% in their class" Richard said. "Well thank you very much" Rory said getting up.

"Okay that's getting annoying, now" Aurora said getting up and followed Rory.

"Um just go ahead and start without me I gotta check in at the inn Michelle's there by himself people could die" Lorelei said. "Well hurry up" Emily said as she and Richard followed the twins.

"I am so thrilled about this" Emily said. "Do you think you'll get a certificate" Emily asked the twins.

"I'm not sure" Rory said. "I guess we'll see" Aurora said. "Well, they certainly should give you a certificate or a plaque or something I'll talk to Bitty about that tomorrow" Emily said.

"I can't wait to tell Telman McCabe about this" Richard said. "Oh Richard" Emily said.

"Oh, he's always bragging about that Simoleton grandson of his" Richard said. "William is a lovely boy" Emily said.

"His head is shaped like a football" Richard said. "It isn't odd" Emily said. "If he fell asleep in the park someone would try to punt him" Richard said.

"Telman is a very dear friend of yours" Emily told Richard. "Yes, he is, and one should always share wonderful news with one's very good friends" Richard said. "You just want to brag" Emily said.

"Well, I think I have a right don't you" Richard said and Aurora and Rory looked up from their food and saw Lorelei.

"Well goodness you'd think you were the one who finished in the top 3% in your class" Emily said as Lorelei smiled at the twins who was not paying attention to Emily or Richard.

"Well, it was my genes I get to claim a little responsibility" Richard said and Lorelei nodded at the girls indicating she said yes.

Rory screamed running to Lorelei with Aurora right behind her and they hugged Lorelei causing Richard to spill on his shirt. "Goodness" Emily said. "I just spilled on my shirt" Richard said.

"What are you doing what are they doing Emily" Richard asked Emily seeing the twins and Lorelei hugging.

"I have no idea" Emily said and saw the twins and Lorelei jumping up and down.

"Stop that you three" Emily told them. "Sorry" Lorelei said. "Yeah, sorry Grams" Aurora said.

"What is going on" Emily asked as Lorelei and the twins hugged once again. "Uh I'm just really jazzed about this whole 3% thing" Lorelei said once she pulled away from the hug.

"Yeah really, really jazzed" Rory said and the twins and Lorelei hugged again. "Don't even try to understand Richard" Emily told him.

"Antonia please bring club soda for Mr. Gilmore's shirt" Emily yelled.

"Your grandma is throwing a party" Tristian asked.

"Yeah, and you better come I need my boyfriend there if I'm going to get through it" Aurora said.

"I'll be there" Tristian said. "Oh, thank you" Aurora said and hugged him. Tristian hugged her back smiling at her slightly as he looked at her with love.

"What would I do without you" Aurora asked as she pulled away from him. "Come on we don't want to miss the movie" Tristian said and grabbed Auroras hand as he led her.

"Do you want tater tots also" Lorelei asked as Aurora was sat on the table and Rory walked in after talking to Lane on the phone.

"That's a rhetorical question right" Rory asked and Lorelei poured the tater tots on the pan as Rory sat down.

"So, what kind of dress are you thinking of" Rory asked and Lorelei put the tater tots in the oven.

"Um the one Stephanie Seymour wore in the Guns N' Roses video" Lorelei said.

"Really I mean your choice but if I were to get married, I'd want a dress something like Bella's from twilight" Aurora said. "What about colors did you pick your colors yet" Rory asked.

"Yes" Lorelei said. "Really what" Aurora asked. "Spumoni" Lorelei said.

"Okay Rora and I are planning this wedding without you you'll have no say, and we may not even let you come" Rory said and the phone rang.

"Hello" Rory said. "Rory good it's Max" Max said. "Oh, hey Max" Rory said. "I've been ring shopping all day" Max said. "Ring shopping very interesting" Rory said, and Aurora's phone rang.

"It's Tristian let me know what ring he goes with" Aurora told Rory who nodded, and Aurora left.

Emily answered the door and saw the twins, Lorelei, Tristian and Dean. "Well, hello there" Emily said as she answered the door. "Well, hello there" Emily said to Dean.

"Grandma you remember Dean right" Rory asked. "Yes, I do nice to see you again" Emily said.

"Thanks, uh your house is great is huge I've never seen a house this huge before" Dean said. "Well thank you so few people bother to notice the hugeness of the house anymore" Lorelei said.

"This is going to be a long day" Aurora said as Tristian looked at her.

"It was nice of you to tell the twins to invite a friend tonight seeing as this is their night that was really nice of you" Lorelei said.

"It was my pleasure" Emily said. "Good" Lorelei said. "Uh grandma you know Tristian" Aurora said.

"Of course, nice to see you Tristian I suspect your treating Aurora well" Emily said.

"Always" Tristian said. "Well don't just stand there we have a celebration to attend come in come in" Emily said and they all went inside heading to the sitting room taking a seat.

"So, what would everyone like to drink" Emily asked. "Uh well I'll have a white wine, and Dean will have a beer" Lorelei said. "What" Dean said.

"Corona right" Lorelei said. "No, I don't want a beer I don't drink beer I'll have a water or soda or anything or nothing not beer never beer beer's, beer's bad" Dean said.

"Relax Dean that's just Lorelei's little sense of humor you're very cruel" Emily said giving her, her drink.

"Yes, well keeps me young speaking of Tristian will have l" Lorelei said. "A water" Aurora said.

"No fun" Lorelei said to Aurora. "I'm just gonna sit here and stare at my hands" Dean said. "Soda Dean" Emily asked.

"Please" Dean said, and Emily gave Dean a soda. Emily gave Tristian his water. "Aurora" Emily asked. "Soda" Aurora said, and Emily gave her, her soda.

"Rory" Emily said. "Oh, I'll have a beer" Rory said causing everyone to laugh. "I'm sorry Dean we're not laughing at you" Rory said.

"Oh, wait I think I was" Lorelei said. "I think I was a little too" Emily said.

"Is it wrong if I was" Tristian asked causing Aurora to laugh. "Oh, Richard there you are, come join us" Emily said once she saw Richard.

"Hey dad" Lorelei said and Richard's smile faded when he saw Dean. "Grandpa hi um this is Dean; Dean this is my grandpa" Rory said. "Hi" Dean said before standing up.

"Sorry uh hi" Dean said and went to Richard. "Hello" Richard said. "It's uh it's nice to meet" Dean said offering his hand.

"Tristian nice to see you" Richard said when he saw Tristian causing Dean to drop his hand and for the girls to look at each other. "Nice to see you too" Tristian said.

"You, treating Aurora well" Richard asked. "Yes sir" Tristian said. "Does everyone have drinks" Richard asked.

"Yeah, we all have drinks thanks" Lorelei said and Aden sat back down next to Rory.

"Should we do the beer thing again" Dean whispered to Lorelei. "Uh I don't think so" Lorelei said. "Sorry" Aurora mouthed to Dean. "It's okay" he mouthed back.

"Grandma I can't believe you found a recipe for beefaroni" Rory said. "It wasn't easy Antonia thought I'd gone insane" Emily said.

"Mm well" Lorelei said. "No one needs a comment from you" Emily told Lorelei. "No, I was just gonna say uh what's the secret" Lorelei asked.

"Well let's just say it's not beef" Emily said. "Oh, okay I'm done" Lorelei said. "Me too" Rory said putting her utensils down with Lorelei.

"That makes three of us" Aurora said. "You gonna be sick" Tristian asked her. "No, I'm fine" Aurora said. "Dean, Tristian would you like some more" Emily asked them.

"Uh no I'm fine thanks" Dean said. "I'm good too" Tristian said. "Well then I guess it must be present time" Emily said.

"You didn't have to" Rory said. "This is enough Grams" Aurora said.

"Oh yeah mom you didn't have to" Lorelei told her. "Unless you got something that'll fit me too in which case good going" Lorelei said. "Here you go Rory" Emily said giving Rory her present.

"Aurora" Emily said giving Aurora her present. "Congratulations we're so proud" Emily said.

"Thanks grandma" Rory said. "Yeah, thanks grams" Aurora said. "Thanks grandpa" Rory said seeing him being silent.

"Yeah, you too Gramps thanks" Aurora said. "Now go on open it" Emily said. "Okay" Rory said, and she and Aurora opened their present. "Oh, ones all yours" Lorelei said.

"It's beautiful" Rory said. "Yeah lovely" Aurora said. "I think the top students deserves the top tools" Emily said.

"Thank you so much" Rory said. "Yeah thanks" Aurora said. "Really" Rory said to Richard. "We appreciate it" Aurora said to Richard.

"Um uh well pens are very nice, but I just bet there is a fabulous fancy dessert just sitting out there in the kitchen of yours" Lorelei said. "As a matter of fact, there is twinkies" Emily said.

"And for Aurora chocolate cake" Emily said to Aurora. "Her favorite thing" Tristian said as Aurora nudged him but smiled at him.

"What" Lorelei said. "Well Rory told me that was her favorite dessert and from all our thanksgivings Aurora always asked for chocolate cake, so I knew that was her favorite" Emily said.

"Emily Gilmore you are one classy broad" Lorelei said. "Antonia please bring out the Twinkie's and the chocolate cake" Emily said.

"I can't believe I just heard you say those words aside from the cake considering you make those often for Aurora" Lorelei said. "Well don't get used to it" Emily said.

"So, Dean" Richard said finally speaking up. "Oh no" Aurora said. "Not good" Tristian asked.

"Most likely" Aurora told him. "Where are you planning to go to college" Richard asked. "Oh well uh well I" Dean said.

"Jeez dad start off with like what's your favorite baseball team or something" Lorelei said. "I'm talking to Dean" Richard said. "I don't know yet" Dean said.

"You don't" Richard asked. "No not yet" Dean said. "Well what kind of grades do you get" Richard asked.

"Richard please don't grill the boy" Emily said. "I'm not grilling the boy Emily it's an easy question" Richard told Emily. "A's, B's, C's" Richard asked.

"I get a mixture actually" Dean said. "A mixture" Richard said laughing.

"What's the ratio" Richard asked. "Richard" Emily said.

"I'm just trying to get to know the boy Emily after all Rory brings home a young man to dinner the least, we could do is find out something about him we already know Tristian we know his family he's a good man" Richard said.

"He changes a mean water bottle" Lorelei said referring to Dean. "I get a couple A's, a couple B's, a few C's" Dean said. "Really" Richard said.

"I'm not great in math" Dean said. "Yeah, except who is really you know except mathematicians or blackjack dealers, or I guess Stephan Hawking doesn't suck but you know" Lorelei said.

"You know what else is good though mom is a ho, ho because if you can't find a Twinkie or chocolate cake you know treat yourself to a nice ho, ho" Lorelei said.

"How long does it take to open a box" Lorelei asked. "She's making them" Emily said. "She's making the twinkies" Lorelei asked.

"You're kidding" Lorelei said. "Oh, Richard wasn't there a book you wanted to give Rory and Aurora" Emily asked.

"In a minute Emily" Richard told her. "So, Dean" Richard said. "Uh grandpa" Rory said.

"You do know that Rory's going to an Ivy League school" Richard said. "I know" Dean said.

"Harvard, Princeton, Yale" Richard said. "Where that desert" Aurora asked. "Said he knew dad" Lorelei told Richard.

"You need top grades to get into a top school" Richard said. "Yeah, well Rory's really smart so is Aurora" Dean said. "Don't bring me into this" Aurora said.

"Okay calm down please it's awkward enough already" Tristian told Aurora. "Yeah, they are really smart" Richard said. "Mom" Rory said.

"Yeah, why don't we all go sit in the uh" Lorelei said. "So how are you planning to make a living once you graduate from this college you haven't thought anything about yet" Richard asked.

"Gramps, can we talk about something else" Aurora asked. "I'm going to get those books" Emily said leaving.

"I asked you a question" Richard told Dean. "I don't know what I want to do" Dean said. "You know when I was 10 years old, I knew exactly where I wanted to work" Richard said.

"That's because you were always picked last for dodge ball" Lorelei said.

"I knew I wanted to go to Yale and put on a nice suit every day and be a very important man in a very powerful firm and I knew I wanted to travel and see the world" Richard said.

"Well, that's great" Dean said. "I wanted to see La Traviata at the La Scala opera house I wanted to walk the ruins of Pompeii I wanted to travel the far east" Richard said.

"Or be a ballerina or a fireman" Lorelei said. "Lorelei this isn't funny" Richard said.

"It's a little funny to think of a 10-year-old kid dreaming of the La Scala opera house" Lorelei said.

"Rory does Rory wants to travel Rory has plans so does Aurora from what I remember during our holidays" Richard said. "Rory and Aurora's special" Lorelei said.

"Yes, exactly Rory and Aurora are special" Richard said. "Grandma" Aurora yelled.

"Well, I know that Rory's special" Dean said and Emily walked in. "I've got them" Emily said. "Dean is special too grandpa" Rory said.

"Rory" Dean said. "You don't even know him" Rory said. "I know enough" Richard said.

"No, you don't Dean is incredible and he's special to me and I bring him here and you attack him" Rory said. "I will not be spoken to like that in my house" Richard said.

"Richard here give the twins their books" Emily told Richard.

"This family has standards you live up to them and you should expect everyone you spend time with live up to them also you are a gifted girl with immense promise, and you should learn very early that certain people can hold you back" Richard said.

"Gramps" Aurora said, and Rory stopped her. "Grandpa stop it you cannot treat Dean this way" Rory said.

"I'm sorry excuse me I have to work" Richard said getting up. "Grandpa" Rory said, and Richard left.

"Um grandma thanks for dinner and gifts but I think it's time we go" Aurora told Emily seeing Rory upset. "Thanks" Dean said. "Tristian you ready" Aurora asked him.

"Yeah, let's go" Tristian said. "I'm sorry" Dean told Emily and left with Rory, Aurora, and Tristian.

"You never did get your Twinkie either of you" Lorelei said looking from Dean to Tristian. "Uh no thanks I think I should get going" Dean said.

"Are you sure" Rory asked. "Yeah" Dean said. "Okay well all I can say is Dean tonight you officially became a Gilmore girl feels good huh" Lorelei said.

"Yeah" Dean said. "I should probably go too" Tristian said.

"Talk tomorrow" Tristian said to Aurora and she nodded. "Okay" Tristian said and gave her a quick kiss. "See you later" Lorelei told the two boys and Tristian left.

"Meet you inside" Lorelei told Rory and went inside with Aurora.

"He just attacks Dean out of nowhere and Dean is sitting there being perfectly nice and then all of a sudden oh god I'm so mad he's a snob" Rory said.

"Yes" Lorelei said. "You need to come get your Twinkie before I eat it" Aurora said.

"And he doesn't listen he just wants to say horrible things and had you, sit there and listen to him and then just agree with him" Rory said.

"What is that all about" she asked. "That is about 100 years' worth of inbreeding" Lorelei said.

"I wonder what he would've done to Tristian if he didn't already know him or his family" Aurora said. "Probably what he did to Dean" Lorelei told her.

"I've never seen him be mean before ever not like that" Rory said and made her way to Lorelei and Aurora.

"I don't know how I'll ever talk to him again and Dean he must be so upset right now I hate that he did this to him I hate it" Rory said and sat down as Aurora sat next to her.

"Yes, it was bad my father was in fine form tonight but" Lorelei said. "But" Rory said confused.

"There's a but from you there's a but" Rory asked. "Twinkie" Aurora asked Rory and Rory took one as Lorelei sat down.

"I don't think my father has ever loved anything in this world as much as he loves you and Rora and I believe if he didn't already know Tristian or his family he would just be as hard as him as he was on Dean now that having been established let's just consider that maybe this flip out tonight actually came from somewhere that possibly has nothing to do with Dean and very possibly has nothing to do with you" Lorelei said.

"What are you talking about" Rory asked her. "You and Aurora both are the great white hope of the Gilmore clan you two are their angel sent from up above you and Aurora are the daughter they didn't have and while it may not seem like it Aurora even though you and your grandpa are not as close as him and Rory he still do anything for you and loves you just as much as Rory" Lorelei said. "Mom" Aurora said.

"No it's not a feel sorry for me thing it's just the truth I mean you and Aurora are gonna go to college heck you're gonna graduate from high school they're gonna get to watch you walk down the aisle wearing your cap and gown what your diploma and go to Harvard and be a PHI BETA bimbo and graduate with honors and just set the world on fire I mean that is the plan looks like it's gonna happen" Lorelei said.

"It is going to happen" Rory said. "Yeah, no doubt" Aurora said. "Except for that part about being PHI BETA BIMBO part" Rory said.

"But then tonight you walk in with this beautiful boy who likes you enough to brave going to your grandparents' house for dinner and dad looks at you and sees you with him and all of a sudden has a terrible Lorelei flashback he sees it all going away the college the cap and gown" Lorelei said.

"What about me and Tristian mom he didn't freak out I thought it was because he knew Tristian but now" Aurora said.

"Probably because he knows you're a lot like me in some ways and he knows even if he didn't know him it wouldn't help" Lorelei told her.

"I'm not going to get pregnant" Rory said to Lorelei going back to the previous subject. "Me either, not for a very long time" Aurora said.

"I know that" Lorelei said. "He should know that" Rory said.

"Yes, he should but you and Rora do have my eyes" Lorelei said. "You do realize you just spent 10 minutes defending your dad" Aurora asked.

"I know I'm gonna have terrible nightmares all night long" Lorelei told her. "But I'll tell you what if you cut him a little slack, I'll um wear my porn star T-shirt to dinner next week" Lorelei said to Rory. "Deal" Rory said.

"Good" Lorelei said as Rory went to the phone answering it. "Hello" Rory said.
