Sam Uley- Secret: Part 2 (h)
Ever since your Dad had sat you down and explained that the legends you were brought up with was the truth, your life had been somewhat of a rollercoaster.
Sam was someone who you barely knew, and you had always seen that he wasn't fond of Jacob so to suddenly have this bond with him that meant he was the one, well it was a bit daunting.
Jacob had been nothing but protective, but you understood it.
School had been somewhat of an escape from the craziness at home – the whole tribe were now aware of Sam imprinting on you, and you had found out that the tribe also contained the pack which Sam was the alpha of.
You were surprised to come out of school and see Sam leaning against his truck, hands in the pockets of his jeans and a slight smile on his face.
Sighing internally, you made your way over to him. "Hi Sam," you greeted him.
"I'm sorry for just turning up but could we talk?"
Once you'd nodded your head in agreement, the two of you got into his truck and headed over to his house.
You climbed out of the truck, staying silent as you admired the house in front of you.
"Is this your Mum's house? I don't remember this place."
Sam shook his head, a smile on his face. "No actually, it's mine," he told you. "I bought it a few days ago."
"Why?"
He sighed, motioning for you to go inside. "I'll explain everything, I promise."
You made your way into the house and a smile made its way onto your face when you realised how little was in the house.
Sam sat down on the sofa, the one piece of furniture actually in the house, and you sat down next to him.
He took a big breath before turning to face you, the nervousness crystal clear in his expression.
"I know that it was a shock for you to find out that all of this is true," he stated, and you nodded in agreement. "Trust me, being the first shifter to phase in however many generations was scary but the council and your Dad helped me so much."
You smiled at the fact that your Dad had helped Sam out, but it was still difficult to wrap your head around.
"A shifter has an imprint, one person that means the absolute world to them – it isn't always romantic, sometimes it's as a protector or just as a friend but more often than not it is a romantic connection," he began to explain to you. "I hadn't seen you since I phased, and when I saw you yesterday, I imprinted as soon as I saw you."
"So, it was you that growled?"
Sam chuckled as he nodded his head. "That was an accident but the wolf side of me protested to Jacob having his arm around you even though he is your brother."
Over the next hour or so, Sam continued to explain the pack to you and how it worked along with who it contained which included Jacob, but you understood why your brother couldn't tell you.
The pack and its secrets were only found out either if someone phased or if you were an imprintee.
"So where do we go from here?" you questioned Sam with a smile on your face.
He returned your smile, hesitantly reaching for your hand. "I know we don't have much of a relationship at the moment, but I promise you I want one," he told you earnestly. "I bought this house for us, and there's not a lot in here because I want us to make all the decisions about here together."
"I don't think I can move in straight away," you stated out of honesty.
Sam nodded in acknowledgment. "I would never have expected that Y/N," he reassured you causing you to smile again. "We can start slow, get to know each other. This house is still going to be here whenever you're ready for it."
"So, no rush?"
Your imprint shook his head, a dazzling smile on his face. "No rush at all sweetheart."
