Benjamin- Vegetarian (h)
Family was a big thing for you, it always had been and even though you had no biological family left alive in the world, the family that you found yourself in was all you could ever have wanted.
You were forever stuck at 19 years old, but you had been 19 years old since 1944 so it was safe to say that your biological family were long gone.
Carlisle had found you when you were bleeding out on a wilderness path after having been attacked by some other hikers – he had been hunting nearby with his wife and Esme had come across you first before Carlisle had saved you.
Well the definition of "saved" could be interpreted in different ways.
You could have bled out to your death at 19 years old but instead you were forever to be 19 years old, but you were still able to see the world.
Carlisle had asked you to accompany him and Esme whilst they went on a search for witnesses to help you all against the Volturi.
This search had eventually led the three of you to Egypt, and so you were invited to meet the coven leader Amun.
The Egyptian coven was one of the oldest clans in existence, and whilst they were not vegetarians like your family, they seemed to show decent restraint.
As you walked in, your arm linked through Carlisle's on one side and Esme on the other, you saw only four people stood before you – all bearing a striking resemblance to each other.
The youngest male's eyes instantly found yours and locked on, whilst the coven leader looked nervous.
"Amun, thank you for agreeing to meet with us," Carlisle spoke up.
Amun nodded his head in acknowledgment. "What is your business here?"
"We need your assistance," you stated causing Amun to look to you in surprise. "The Volturi wish to go against us as a result of the youngest in our family, she is half-human and half-vampire."
Amun instantly shook his head. "We will not be assisting you; we refuse to come into contact with the Volturi."
Carlisle sighed. "Amun, please."
Esme wrapped her arm further around Carlisle's. "We would not be here if we did not believe that your assistance would be vital."
A few moments of silence passed through you all, and you were beginning to believe that the coven leader would be final in his decision.
Before Amun could give another word of finality, the young male stepped forward. "I will join you, as will my sister."
A girl, who was obviously his sister based on their resemblances, shot you a smile as she stepped forward to stand by his side.
Of course, you returned the smile.
He shot you a smile also, his eyes lingering on you for a matter of seconds, whilst Amun glared at him. "Benjamin, you will not defy me, I have said that we will not go."
Benjamin turned to look at his coven leader. "Amun, you do not control me, and I can cut off our partnership whenever I wish."
And with those as the final words spoken, the Egyptian coven returned with the three of you to Forks where all of the other witnesses had gathered.
All the witnesses had been gathered for a few days, and whilst out on a walk through the forests behind your house you saw Benjamin sat by the river as he made the water do his bidding.
Without saying anything to him, you used your telekinesis to get a fish to hover above the wave he had created before allowing it to go back into the water.
He turned around and smiled as soon as he saw you standing there.
"May I join you?" you asked as you walked closer to him.
He nodded and gestured to the spot next to him with his hand.
"Your abilities are quite impressive," you complimented him.
He chuckled as he still continued to manipulate the water. "Amun claims that he knew how talented I would be as an immortal and therefore believes he has control over my manipulations."
You sighed, shaking your head. "I have met too many creators with that mindset," you commented. "Thankfully Carlisle is more of a father towards me, he has guided my abilities yes, but he has never laid claim to them."
"Do you remember when we first met?" he questioned causing you to nod. "I am aware that we are mates, but I do not know what that means in terms of our situation."
You smiled at him as he covered your hand with his. "In truth, mates are not to be separated and I am grateful to have found mine, but I cannot force you to stay here in Forks however I would find it increasingly difficult to leave my family behind."
He shook his head. "Whilst Egypt is where I am from, it was never truly my home."
"Despite that, I'm inclined to believe that Amun will do everything in his power to make you return."
Benjamin sighed, knowing that you were correct. "He does not control me, and he is aware of that fact – I can do far worse to him than what he can do to me."
You smiled at him, believing that the two of you would come out of the whole Volturi ordeal alive and be able to start your immortal lives together.
"Are you willing to become a vegetarian?" you questioned out of the blue, with a smile on your face.
He chuckled, placing a hand on your cheek and gently rubbing the pad of his thumb on your skin. "For you, my dear, I would do anything."
You smiled at the sincerity in his eyes. "And I you."
