Mottlesun is WindClan's medicine cat.

She's spent most of her life caring for a clan full of cats she hates.

Mottlesun can't stand healing cats and wants to break free from the stress.

So, she takes matters into her own paws.

When one of her patients has been ill or wounded for what she decides is too long, she kills them.

However, she does so in a way that makes the other cats believe that they died of whatever they were in the medicine den for.

Mottlesun's plan works for a few moons, until her apprentice Mothpaw begins to become suspicious of her.

The medicine cat plans to get rid of her as soon as she can, but Mothpaw is one step ahead of her.

She knows that her mentor will kill Jaysong next - a kind elder that has been sick with whitecough for a while.

Mothpaw waits a few days and, sure enough, her mentor leads him into the forest to feed him death berries.

She gets in between the two cats and confronts Mottlesun.

However, Mottlesun already knows that Mothpaw is aware of her murders and has her own nasty surprise for her...
