Plot

Dawnpaw and Duskpaw are sisters.

They've hated each other since the moment they opened their eyes.

The two can't stand each other.

Dawnpaw is a social butterfly, with a group of friends that practically worship her.

Meanwhile, Duskpaw prefers being alone, without any friends.

StarClan has been watching the two sisters argue for many moons and decide that they've had enough.

One day, Dawnpaw, who is a golden tabby, wakes up, seeing strange, pale brown fur covering her.

Duskpaw awakens, alert as she realises that her brown pelt has changed to golden.

The two head straight for the pond, each apprentice approaching it from a different part of camp, to see their reflections and bump into each other when they get there.

Horrified, they realise that they've switched bodies.

Dawnpaw is disgusted by her brown pelt, whilst Duskpaw moans about hers being a great colour to attract predators.

Soon, Duskpaw's mentor sends Dawnpaw, who looks like Duskpaw, to clean out the elder's den, a job which she'd never been forced to do by her mentor.

Duskpaw isn't used to socialising with the other apprentices and doesn't know how to act - when Dawnpaw's friends ask her if they look good today.

Dawnpaw's best friend - Leopardpaw, begins talking about her crush on a young warrior named Sparrowsplash and Duskpaw uses this to her advantage against her sister.

Dawnpaw is furious when she finds out that Duskpaw has told Sparrowsplash about her crush on him and she grows even angrier when Duskpaw is invited to the gathering and not her.
