I walked into the library and found an empty computer and logged on. I opened Google and typed in vampires, yeah I know, normal people don't google vampires. Normally when they do, it isn't because of information, normally its because they have an obsession. But since I am not a normal girl and I'm a Shadowhunter, and that rule doesn't apply to me.

I didn't find much about vampire, I know there are different kinds but none are similar than the ones I know back in New York. And you maybe wondering why I'm Googling vampires and to tell you the truth, I have no idea. I feel like there's some secret hiding in Forks and I can't put my finger in it.

"What's so interesting about vampires?" a voice I haven't heard nor wanted to hear today. "Nothing, I just find them really fascinating is all," I said exciting out of Google and turned around to see Edward.

"Mm, you don't strike me as the type to be interested in things that aren't real," he said, I shrugged and checked my phone after I heard it buzz.

"And you don't look like the type to be annoying and here we are," I said giving him pointed look. "Well, this was a fun chat, but I have to get going," I said standing up and picking up my backpack before heading towards the door.

"You know, it's pouring out there right?" Edward said keeping pace with me. I snorted, not believing him.

"Right, it's been sunny all day. I doubt it's raining," I said.

"You know the weather does change from time to time. And it is Forks, so all it ever does is rain," he said, I shook my head and continued walking to the door. "Can't you hear the rain outside? I mean its pouring," Edward said, making me roll my eyes.

"Right, somehow I don't believe you," I said, pushing the door open and groaned. "Told you," he said chuckling. I glared at him and took out my phone,dialing Clary's number. "Clary! Get back here, we are not done talking!" I heard Charlie shout in the background. "I have to take this!" Clary shouted back and I heard a door slam.

"Everything alright there Clary?" I asked, worried something big happened. "No, everything's not okay. My whole life is an entire lie and so is yours," Clary said, and I could hear her seething.

"Um, what are you talking about?" I asked confused, I don't know how my life could have been a lie. "Get over here and I'll tell you. Jace needs to know too, so I'll tell you guys together. Gah! Sixteen years and they keep this from us! I'm so mad!"

"Clary calm down. The reason I called is because I need a ride. It's pouring and I need you to pick me up," I said hoping that that wouldn't set her off. I heard her sigh so I took that as a good sign. "I can't, Charlie and I still have a lot to talk about. You're going to have to find another way. And when you do get here, don't be surprised if you find the house a little messy," she said and hung up.

"Grr," I said putting my phone away. "Need a ride?" Edward asked. "No, I rather walk then you giving me a ride," I said, and started walking. "No you're not," he said and grabbed my arm. "Yes I am," I said pulling back my arm and started walking away. Before I knew it, Edward picked me up and walked towards his car. In one swift movement, he opened his car door, set me down and buckled in my seat belt.

He walked around the car and climbed in. He started the car and looked over and laughed. "What's with the face?" he asked, for I crossed my arms and glared out the windshield. "I told you I was going to walk. I didn't need or want a ride," I said. "Me begin the gentlemen couldn't let a beautiful girl walk home in the rain."

I didn't let the beautiful part get to me so I tried to keep my blush in. "Well I wouldn't mind walk," I said. "I'm sure Charlie would mind if you walk home all wet and catching a cold the next day," he countered, he got me there. I didn't say anything, so the rest of the ride was quiet. The next thing I know, Edward pulled into Charlie's driveway. I looked up and winced when I looked through the

"It looks like a tornado went through there," Edward said, I snorted. "That's an understatement," I said and sighed. "Thanks for the ride, even though I didn't as for it. I'll see you later," I said and climbed out the car and ran for the door.

CPOV

I was upstairs in my room seething about what Charlie had just tried to explain to me. I have to admit, there was some yelling, throwing things and a lot of frustration between me and Charlie. I heard someone pull in and then the front door opened. "Clary!" I heard Bella call. "I'm upstairs!" I called back, and heard her run upstairs.

"What happened downstairs?" she asked and I shrugged. Bella have me a pointed look that said spill. "Okay, I'll tell you. I'm just waiting for Jace to Skype us," I said pointing at my computer where I was already logged into Skype. "Why are we waiting for Jace?"

"Because Charlie told me a life changing story for all three of us," I said, just as I said that something popped up on my computer, it was a Skype chat from Jace. I clicked accept and Jace filled my screen. "Sup ladies," he said we merely waved. "So what's so important that you couldn't have called Clary?"

"Well I'd rather do this in person then through text or calling but since this couldn't wait until Christmas break I decided to tell you through Skype," I said trying not to get angry. "You know what it is Bella?" he asked, Bella shook her head. "No clue, I just got here. Okay Clary, what's this about?"

I took a deep breath before saying, "So apparently, when the three of us were born Jocelyn and Charlie agreed that eventually Valentine will try to find me. So they decided to switch me and Bella."

"Are you saying that Charlie and Renee are my real parents?" Bella asked in shock, I nodded my head. "So then that you Jace's sister right?"

"What?! Eww, that's gross. Clary, we are officially over. I can't be dating my sister that's just wrong," Jace said and I rolled my eyes. "Whatever you say dude. But can I say that Jocelyn and Valentine aren't your biological parents," I said, watching Jace's face go from disgust to confusion. "Thanks who are my parents?"

"Your parents died when you were born. The Shadowhunters had some sort of war in Alicante because of something Valentine was doing something bad and the council didn't like it. Anyways, your dad is a guy named Stephen Herondale, I don't know who your mom is, Charlie wasn't sure either."

"Their plan backfired though. I mean, Valentine still found you so what was the point of is all?" Bella asked, while Jace was still trying to wrap this head around it. "I don't know, maybe they thought it wouldn't lead to what's happening now," I suggested. "I'm taking the next flight to Forks and beating the crap out of Charlie!" Jave yelled and stood up knocking something over. "No you're not!" me and Bella shouted together.

"Why not?" he whined. "Because I beat you too it. Besides, you still have to find out if the Instruments are over there," I said, Bella nodded in agreement. "Alec, Izzy and Magnus can do that," he said.

"Jace, you're staying over there or I'll have Magnus cast a spell on you," Bella threatened, Jace scoffed. "Like that scares me," he said, Bella took out her phone and texted Magnus something. Next thing we know, he walked into Jace's room with a huge smile on his face. "What can I do for you Bella my dear?"

Jace sat down and picked the thing that fell, which was a lamp. "Okay, I'll stay here. As long as he," Jace pointed at Magnus when he said he, "doesn't do anything magic towards me or anything," he finished saying. Me and Bella looked at each other and nodded, Bella texted Magnus again. As he read it, his smile brightened. "Why thank you Bella Clary, it's good doing business with you," he said and walked out of the room.

Jace watched as Magnus walked out and turned around facing us. "What was he talking about?" he asked, Bella shrugged and I smiled innocently. "You'll find out. When you misbehave," I said, Jace studied me. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing that you need to worry about," Bella said. "Between the two of you, I don't like you guys very much," he said. "We know. Anyways, after I yelled and threw a fit, we started talking about the Instruments right? And Charlie told me that they're in New York somewhere. Jocelyn hid the cup somewhere but Charlie isn't exactly sure where. So, while we stay save...sort of. Jace, you, Alec, Izzy and Magnus are going to look for them."

"Clary," Jace whined. "No, I don't want to here it. The faster we get these, the faster I can go home," I said, that seemed to shut him up. "Jace! We got to go!" we heard Izzy shout in the background. "Okay!" he shouted back. "Well, looks like I am demon hunting. I'll see you guys later," Jace said. "Bye," Bella and I said and he logged off.

"So now what?" Bella asked me, I shrugged. "I don't know. Not hate our parents for the rest of our lives?" I suggested. "Other then that."

"Stay here, figure out a way to defeat Valentine, go home and live the rest of our lives normally. Well, as normal as one can be for a Shadowhunter."

"Sounds like a plan," Bella said smiling, and we went and did our homework.
