After returning to her home state of Georgia for college, Y/N is stripped away from her hotheaded, temperamental wolf, Paul Lahote. With the holiday break approaching fast, however, Y/N plans on surprising him all the way back in Washington.

I'm booking myself a one way flight; I gotta see the color in your eyes

Y/N threw herself onto her bed, eyes glaring up at the ceiling of her dorm as her thoughts revolved around the wolf she had been forced to leave behind in Washington. The separation had quickly taken a toll on both the human and beast, a burning ache distracting them heavily from what they were trying to accomplish. Y/N couldn't focus in class, and Paul sure as hell couldn't run patrols around the perimeter with the concern for his imprint all the way in Georgia.

You can't undo a fall like this; 'Cause love don't know what distance is

With an undignified groan, Y/N rolled over onto her stomach to bury her face into the sweater that was strewn across her pillow. Her chest constricted as her nose inhaled the fading scent of her boyfriend, tears welling up in her eyes. She couldn't take much more of this.

As if a light bulb suddenly flicked on in her mind, Y/N sprung up from her bed and darted across her dorm to her calendar pinned up on the wall. Her fingers greedily flipped through the months, and stopped on the current one; December.

Fuck yes! I completely forgot that winter break starts this weekend!

A wide smile etched across Y/N's face as an idea formed in her head, then swiveled on her feet to grab at her laptop. She threw open the lid, slammed in her password, and searched in the web browser for cheap plane tickets to Washington.

Thank God she didn't have anymore classes this Thursday or Friday.

______

But I don't want "good" and I don't want "good enough"; I want "can't sleep, can't breathe without your love"; Front porch and one more kiss, it doesn't make sense to anybody else

Huffing out a breath, Y/N lugged her suitcase off of the track at the airport. It had been an agonizingly long trip, but at least she had found a straight shot plane that didn't have her getting off and on other planes. She didn't think she'd be able to handle the anxiety.

Y/N quickly took off out of the building, and flagged down an unoccupied taxi. Forks was a few towns over from the nearest airport, so it was going to be another long and slow travel. However, she felt her phone buzz in her pocket, to which she fished it out desperately. A text flashed across the screen, the contact smiling up at her as she grinned back. It was Paul.

- Hey sweet cheeks. How's exams?

Her smile stretched impossibly wider before she replied, her fingers shaking as her excitement built.

- Howdy darlin! They're boring, wish I could see you though

It wasn't even two seconds later before she had a response.

- I know, baby, but hey! Isn't there a break next week? What if I came down to see you Saturday?

Y/N had to suppress a giggle, probably failing as she got a strange look from the cab driver in the rearview mirror. She ignored him and texted her wolf back.

- Oh god, yes. These girls down here are more infuriating than I remember them.

The two continued to converse, the journey becoming shorter and shorter before Y/N had even realized it. Then, her attention was pulled away from her phone as the driver knocked against the glass that separated the front and the back seat.

"We're here. Your luggage is in the trunk, do you need help?" The taxi driver asked, but Y/N politely declined him and handed in the correct amount of change, as well as a tip, before clambering out of the vehicle. After pulling her bag out of the trunk, she glanced up as she took in the familiar town. A smile tugged at her lips at the comfort the buildings brought her, fond memories of her and Paul running around between the shops as they tried to avoid taking her back to her parents.

It felt good to be back.

Who cares if you're all I think about; I've searched the world and I know now; It ain't right if you ain't lost your mind

Without another thought, Y/N took off to the bus station, quickly buying a ticket and boarding the bus. If Paul knew she had taken this, he'd be furious, claiming that she could get kidnapped by anyone, or worse, by one of the Cold Ones. Y/N shook her head of the thoughts before reverting back to her big, strong boyfriend.

Paul's dark chocolate eyes appeared in her mind, passion and love burning in his gaze as his lips upturned in one of his infamous toothy smirks. His caramel skin glistened in her memory, buff arms crossed over his sculpted chest with his pack's tribal mark showing off from his shoulder. Giddiness flooded Y/N's system as she thought about his reaction to seeing her on Emily's doorstep, arms flung around him to bring him into a crushing embrace. Soon, that same giddiness was replaced by heavy longing, the emotion weighing hard on her chest.

I wanna be scared, don't wanna know why; Wanna feel good, don't have to be right

Before Y/N could think about Paul any longer, the bus had rolled to a stop and she was flinging herself off of it, suitcase barely clutched in her hand as she booked it down the dirt path leading down to the Reservation. The pebbles of rock kicked up behind her as she trampled on, desperation and want fueling her blood and adrenaline. All she wanted was Paul pressed against her.

Finally, the familiar little house came into view, and Y/N huffed a sigh of relief, her legs becoming sore from the lack of break from running. She could already hear the rowdy boys inside, and when she jumped up the stairs, she heard it all come to an end as they smelled her scent. Then, the screeching of chairs sounded just as she threw her suitcase to the side, the door bursting open and strong arms encompassing her much smaller frame.

"Y/N! Oh my god, you're here! You're right here! Oh, baby," Paul all but howled, his face burying into the spot between Y/N's neck and shoulder, breathing deeply to inhale her scent. She giggled excitedly, her arms wrapped tightly around Paul's neck, hugging him to her as if he would disappear if she let go.

I love that we're rebels, and we still believe; We're the kind of crazy people wish that they could be, yeah

Oh, and I know we're crazy, yeah

Before she could respond, Paul had pulled his face from her neck and smashed their lips together, taking in the feel of her mouth against his. The smile on Y/N's face was felt through the kiss, her hands threading through the hairs on the back of his neck and tugging. A deep rumble resounded through his chest, closely resembling a purr, and Y/N giggled into the kiss.

"Hey, hey, alright, you two. We'd like to hug Y/N, too, Paul!" The voices of the rest of the pack pulled the two away from each other, Paul releasing a loud growl and pulling Y/N impossibly further into his chest. Y/N let out a loud, giddy laugh, completely and utterly filled to the brim with joy and happiness. Oh, how she had missed these boys.

Yeah, I don't want easy, I want crazy; You with me baby? Let's be crazy

______

Y/N belted out the lyrics to I Want Crazy by Hunter Hayes, her southern drawl coming through more than ever. Paul could only watch her with admiration as she twirled around, shooting her hand out to point at him as if addressing him as she sang. The others watched the two with happy grins, laughing along with Y/N at her silly antics.

The song played loudly through the radio perched on a log beside the campfire, Y/N spinning in front of the flames as she sang along to her boyfriend. Her hands reached out to him, encouraging him to take them in his. He obliged, never being able to deny her a thing he was able to give her, slipping his hands into hers and allowing her to tug him up from his spot on the log.

"But I don't want "good" and I don't want "good enough", I want "can't sleep, can't breathe without your love"! Front porch and one more kiss, it doesn't make sense to anybody else! Who cares if you're all I think about, I've searched the world and I know now! It ain't right if you ain't lost your mind!" Y/N took his hands, lifting them up as she spun herself under them. Paul grinned down at her, her easily returning it as she continued to sing to him. The love and affection in both of their eyes shone brighter than the fire burning beside them, completely surrounding the two in their own little bubble. It was ultimately addicting.

"I wanna be scared, don't wanna know why. Wanna feel good, don't have to be right. The world makes all kinds of rules for love. I say you gotta let it do what it does," The H/C haired girl belted, still spinning herself around her boyfriend as everyone else around them laughed at her accent, but all she could focus on was the man standing before her, giving her all of his love and attention.

"I don't want just another hug and a kiss goodnight. Catchin' up calls and a date sometimes. I love that we're rebels, and we still believe, we're the kind of crazy people wish that they could be, yeah!"

Y/N swung herself out arms length away, still holding Paul's hand as she pulled herself back in and twirled around to the other side. He stayed stationary, just watching and letting her do as she pleased with him, smiling brightly at his imprint. Her happiness was radiating hotter than the warmth of the fire, infecting him and the rest of the pack around them. He was just glad to have her standing in front of him again.

"Yeah, I don't want easy, I want crazy. You with me, baby? Let's be crazy!"

Y/N clasped both her and Paul's hands together and swung them out, pressing her chest against his stomach. Then, she spun and crossed their arms in front of her middle, leaning back into him as she gazed up at him. Her E/C eyes met his dark chocolate ones, adoration and love shining back at her that filled her with more warmth than his body heat could ever hope to compare to.

"No, I don't want "good" and I don't want "good enough"! I want "can't sleep, can't breathe without your love"! Front porch and one more kiss, it doesn't make sense to anybody else," She pulled away from him, turning, but never breaking eye contact as she leaned in and brushed their noses together, "Who cares if you're all I think about, I've searched the world and I know now, it ain't right, if you ain't lost your mind."

"Yeah, I don't want easy, I want crazy. Yeah, look at us, baby, tonight the midnight rules are breaking. There's no such thing as wild enough, and maybe we just think too much. Who needs to play it safe in love? Let's be crazy!" She leaned away from him again, keeping their hands locked, and gestured with her head up at him, then the sky. Though, his eyes stayed trained on her. He was enraptured with her, the light of the fire behind her giving her a soft ethereal glow.

Paul was truly in love with this girl.

"Who cares if we're crazy? We gotta be crazy. I know that we're crazy, so let's be crazy!"

Y/N threw her head back, shouting the last of the song, giggling uncontrollably as the music faded into another song on the radio. Paul didn't think twice before pulling her into him, wrapping his arms around her back and lowering his head to put his lips to hers. She responded instantly, kissing him back and wrapping her arms around his middle. For once, the others didn't make any teasing comments, merely letting their friends have their moment.

They were absolutely crazy for each other.
