Jewel's POV

It's been three weeks since Jett, Jenna and Jack left fro their new homes. And Jax stayed. Things are going great. Jax has started his training and things have been quiet at the station. Bella told her mum about her wedding, which is in five weeks on August 13th. The wedding invited went out yesterday.

Anyway, it's our day off. Jax and I are playing tug of war with our favourite rope toy. Charlie on the couch watching the News. When the house phone rings. We both get to our feet and rush to the kitchen yipping. "Ok, enough you two" Charlie tells us as he appears. We stop barking and sit down as he answers the phone.

"Swan residence, Charlie speaking" he says. "Oh hi Rachel, I heard you were back in town" he says with a smile. "What can I do for you?" he asks. "He what?" he asks shocked. "I'll be right down" he states. He hangs up the phone.

"Jewel, Jax lets go" he says and heads for the door. We follow to see it pouring down with rain. Jax and I get into the back seat. Charlie gets into the front and sets off.

'Mum, what's going on?' Jax asks me.

'No idea, but I am sure it is nothing to worry about' I assure him. 'Otherwise we would be heading to the station' I state. He nods his head.

'Who is Rachel?' he asks me.

'I think it is one of Billy Black, daughters' I tell him. Charlie drives us to the reservation, to the Black family house. Billy was on the porch waiting for us. Charlie lets Jax and I out, we race to Billy.

"You're getting big boy" he tells Jax. Who wags his tail happily. "Jewel, as beautiful as ever" he states. Just then Charlie joins us. "Sorry you had to come down here Charlie, I assure you nothing it wrong" he tells him.

"So Jacob didn't run away from home?" Charlie asks him. Not convinced.

"He is just upset about the wedding, you know he really liked your daughter" Billy reminds him.

"How long has he been gone?" Charlie asks as we go inside.

"Nearly twenty-four hours" a young adult woman states.

"You've grown a lot Rachel, congrats on finishing Uni early" Charlie tells her.

"Thanks" she says with a smile. "Anyway, I'll leave you with my dad. I am late meeting Paul" she states and leaves.

"He's been gone nearly twenty-four hours and you didn't call me?" Charlie asks Billy annoyed.

"He's a grown boy, he can take care of himself" Billy assures him.

"He's sixteen" Charlie retorts. "I'll go to the station and get posters made" he states.

"Charlie, seriously I know my son. I'm sure he is fine" Billy assures him again. "Besides Rachel is wrong about the time, he left this morning after seeing the mail. Not yesterday" he states.

"Ok, well if he isn't home tomorrow or made contact. I will make lost posters for him" Charlie tells him.

"Of course, thank you" Billy says. "How about you stay for the game?" he suggests. Charlie nods and grabs them both a beer. We all go into the living room. "Have you started his basic training yet?" he asks gesturing to Jax.

"He knows all the basic commands, he is very smart like Jewel" Charlie praises. Jax wags his tail proudly.

"Any updates on the other pups?" Billy asks him curious.

"Jenna is excelling at her scent training" Charlie tells him. "Jett is doing good with his basic training also. He loves the agility course. Jack is having some impulse issues with food, he smells it and wants it" he says with a chuckle.

"He did love his food" Billy says with a chuckle. "They still visiting for Christmas?" he asks.

"Sure are, it'll be a full house" Charlie tells him. "You know Bella wants Jewel and Jax in the wedding" he states.

"Doing what?" Billy asks chuckling.

"Jax as ring bearer and Jewel to walk her down the aisle with me" Charlie states.

"How can a dog be a ring bearer?" Billy asks him.

"Rings in a pouch around their neck" Charlie states. "Alice is getting them fancy collars for the occasion" he adds.

"I don't know if I should feel sorry for them or not" Billy chortles.

"Alice promised to keep their outfits simple" Charlie states. They then watch the game in silence. Jax and I took a nap. Once the game ended, it was time to go home. "Remember call me if you don't hear from Jacob by this time tomorrow" he reminds Billy. Who nods his head. Charlie, Jax and I then go home in Charlie's car together.
