You were curled up by the big window in the living room, reading a book and sipping on hot chocolate. The sky outside was dark, but it only added to the cozy atmosphere. Josh was sitting on the floor a few feet away from you, scrolling through his phone. The two of you were visiting his family in Ohio for the holidays. It was nice to have a break from your typically hectic life and get to know his family better.

You didn't notice the snow at first. Only a few flakes would pass by the window at a time, and you were so wrapped up in your book that you weren't paying much attention anyway. It slowly started to pick up, and before you knew it the sky was full of snowflakes.

"Josh!" you said, snapping your book closed. "Look!"

Josh turned to look over his shoulder. You had leaned over the back of the couch and your nose was practically pressed to the window as you looked on in awe.

"It's snowing," he said plainly.

"Yes!" you said, not understanding his lack of enthusiasm.

"Have you never seen snow before?"

"No, come on!"

You got off the couch and grabbed Josh's hand, dragging him towards the front door. He barely had enough time to put on his shoes before you were opening the front door and running outside. Josh was laughing as you danced around in the yard and tried to catch snowflakes on your tongue.

"This is amazing!" you smiled, looking at him.

Josh bent down and scooped up a bit of snow that had accumulated on the ground. You watched as he rolled it around in his hands for a few seconds, but it wasn't until it was too late that you realized what he was doing.

"Josh!" you laughed as the snowball hit your back. "You're going to pay for that."

Josh took off at a run as you scooped up snow to take your revenge. He had already made it halfway down the street by the time that you finally had a snowball in hand.

"Not fair," you huffed.

"Scared, Y/L/N?" Josh called.

"No!" you answered.

Josh made his way back over to you as you continued to play around in the snow. He pulled you into a hug and pressed a kiss to your forehead.

"You're so cute when you're excited," he smiled.

"It would be easier to be excited if you let go of me," you laughed.

This only caused Josh to hug you tighter. You eventually managed to wrestle your way away from him. This was your chance to take revenge.

"Josh, come here," you said, taking the opportunity of him not paying attention to grab some snow.

"What?"

"I want to give you a kiss." You tried to look as innocent as possible.

"Didn't you just wrestle your way out of hugging me?" he smiled, but started walking towards you nonetheless.

"Just come kiss me," you pouted.

He walked over and bent down to kiss you, eyes closed. You quickly reached around and stuffed snow into his face, causing him to lurch back in shock.

"Hey!" he laughed.

"That's what you get!"

"Come here," he said, starting to chase you around the yard.

Being the runner that he is, Josh quickly caught up to you and wrapped his arms around you. You sighed dramatically, but happily wrapped your arms around him and gave him a proper kiss.

"Your lips are cold," you muttered.

"Huh, I wonder whose fault that is."

"What do you say we get inside and warm back up?"

"I'd say that sounds like a great plan."
