You woke up to the sound of an alarm somewhere in the room. With a grumble, you felt around your bedside table until you found your phone. Much to your surprise, it wasn't your alarm that was going off.
"Did I wake you up?" Josh whispered.
"Huh?"
"My alarm. I forgot to turn it off."
You checked the time on your phone. It was seven in the morning, much earlier than you were used to waking up.
"Yeah, it did," you said, rolling over so that you could look at Josh.
He was sitting up in bed with his laptop on his legs. It looked like he had been awake for awhile.
"What are you doing up?" you asked.
"The new songs are dropping in 45 minutes and I couldn't sleep. I'm just so nervous that nobody will like them."
"Of course people are going to like them," you said, sitting up now. "I swear, half the fanbase is probably awake right now and waiting."
"I don't know, Y/N," he said. You noticed that his hands were shaking.
"Hey, come here," you said, holding your arms out.
Josh closed his laptop and shoved it to the side before sliding over into your arms. He rested his head on your chest, and you lightly rubbed his arm.
"You guys have worked so hard on these songs and everyone is going to see that. The music is amazing, the videos are amazing, and the response is going to be amazing."
Josh wrapped his arms around you and held onto you tightly. You could still feel him shaking.
"Aww, Josh," you said, moving your hand from his arm to his hair.
"It's been over a year, what if everyone left?"
"They didn't leave. You've been on Twitter lately, you've seen how excited everyone is getting. There's absolutely nothing to be stressed about."
"I think I'm just going to be stressed until they're out."
"Then I'll sit here with you until then to keep you calm."
"Really?"
"Considering I'm too awake to go back to bed now, yes," you laughed.
"I like you playing with my hair."
"It's so soft," you smiled. "I'm amazed."
"That could be because I've been stealing your shampoo."
"Josh!"
"What? I ran out and haven't had a chance to get more," he laughed.
"How long have you been using it?"
"Two weeks?"
"I've been to the store like three times in the last two weeks!"
"Ok so maybe I liked how it smelled..."
"You do smell nice."
You noticed that Josh had finally stopped shaking and his shoulders had relaxed. His breathing had also slowed down a lot from when you first wrapped your arms around him.
"How are you feeling?" you asked.
"Still nervous, but more calm."
"Good," you smiled, "I'm glad."
