You were pretty sure that if you moved in the slightest, you were going to puke all over Tyler's side of the bed. It felt like somebody was repeatedly stabbing you in the uterus, and on top of that they decided to throw your stomach in a blender.
Tyler was already gone when you woke up, but he had left a note on your bedside table telling you that he was at the grocery store. You were just waiting for him to get home so that he could get you everything that you needed.
It felt like an eternity before you finally heard the front door open. You could hear the ruffling of grocery bags and Tyler's footsteps as he made his way to the kitchen.
"Ty!" you called, hoping that he would hear you.
"What?"
"Can you come here?"
His footsteps grew closer until he was poking his head into the room, eyebrows raised in question.
"I feel like I'm dying."
"What's going on?" he asked, stepping fully into the room now.
"My uterus is being ripped apart at the seams and I feel like I'm going to puke if I move."
Tyler walked over and brushed some of your hair back from your face before pressing a soft kiss to your temple, "I'll get you stuff right away."
"I love you."
"I love you too," Tyler said, giving your arm a light squeeze before walking out of the room.
You stared at the wall and listened to Tyler moving around the house as he gathered things. He returned a few minutes later, carrying a variety of items.
"Alright, I've got a heating pad, some pain medicine, and water. Then I can come take care of you once I get groceries put away."
"Thank you so much, Ty," you said.
You took the medicine and adjusted the heating pad before laying back down and closing your eyes. It wouldn't be long before they began to kick in, meaning that you would start to feel better.
Tyler returned ten minutes later, now carrying his ukulele. He took a seat on the bed next to you and began to tune it.
"I know that I can't take the pain away, but I thought that music might help," he smiled.
You loved when Tyler played music for you. His voice never failed to calm you down and help relieve whatever stress you had been feeling that day.
He began to strum on his ukulele and sing your favorite songs to you. When he finally got tired of playing, he laid down so that he was facing you. Your faces were only a few inches apart.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, reaching over and taking hold of your hand.
"Better, thanks to you," you smiled.
"I'm glad."
He leaned forward and gave you a quick kiss. You still couldn't believe that you were lucky enough to have someone that loved you like Tyler did.
